Judging by the pictures, this seems like a place where trashy women go to contract aids. Website said they were open, they were not.

I’ve been coming here for twenty years. Love the afternoons and early evenings. My boyfriend doesn’t want to be anywhere else in the summer. Their menu is good except sometimes the burgers. Scampitizer is amazing. Just be patient when they are busy and tip well and they will show you love. I love everyone here.

I ate here once… and that was enough. Poor service. I actually got sick while eating in the restaurant. Spoiled sour cream on a baked potato.

When I walked in here I said to my friend why on earth are there not more people here? By the time we walked out we knew exactly why. We experienced some of the worst service and food I have had to date. The ambiance is great as it is right along the water but the noisy planes flying in over head make it less than romantic. Despite there being almost no one there, our server had completely checked out. We needed to get up and get her to get menus, to order, to order another round of drinks, to order more food. She never told us the specials even though we asked for recommendations(we saw them listed on a board on the way out) we ordered the«scampitizer» 5 bland tasting small little defrosted shrimp with a stick of butter melted on it. The crab pie reminded me of something that would come out of a stuffers box and although the steak nachos were sizable and filling it was hard to find any steak on them and the cheese was a la seven eleven. Such a shame as this had a really great vibe! The reason for two stars — the atmosphere was good — it had a lot of potential — just fell flat.

Been coming here for quite some time, the atmosphere is always good especially in the summer… Anyway, I tried the burgers but was not happy with the results. The patties were over cooked even though we asked for medium well, the fries were dry an scarce on the platter. I did not enjoy my meal at all. Drinks on the other hand was good. There was a live band which made the experience delightful. I’ll definitely come back but not for the burgers.

I fly out of Philly frequently and always stay at the Holiday Inn the night before my flight to avoid traffic. I always eat at The Deck at Harbor Pointe Restaurant for the river atmosphere. Tonight I went in and the waitress wanted to seat me in the dark part of the restaurant. She actually said if she let me sit so I could see the river everyone else would want to sit there. Well too bad for her because I always tip very generously and too bad for the Deck because I Wont be back.

Got the Parmesan wings and they were good! Good happy hour specials! Too cold to be outside but must be nice and a nice day to sit outside on the deck! staff is nice! Building looks dated from outside but inside is clean and kept up.

Typically, I take 3 visits before I make up my mind either way about a place. the first time, 3 people at our table got ill directly after leaving. I was one of them. Also they ran out of limes… this time, I ordered a Burger Med Rare, it came out well done and dry even with the sauce. then 5 people next to me… you gotta read this part… asked if they had Jack Daniels Hot… the cinnamon kind… the bartender pulled out the bottle and said«we sure do.» when I saw the bottle, there were half a dozen BUGSFLOATINGINTHEBOTTLE! So I said«you guys did see all those bugs floating in the bottle right?» They asked the bartender and she confirmed that he’s there were. I SWEAR… SHEPOUREDTHESHOTSANDTHEYDRANKIT. My friends are playing music here but… I GOTTAGO.

Can’t figure why with the best location possible in Delco they can’t figure out how to run a good business here. I’ve been here 3x in 2 years. Most recently first weekend of August 2014. We brought in over 20 hungry, thirsty people. That means a minimum of $ 400. We would have spent way more perhaps 6 or 700 hundred if not for the following reasons. 1) One waitress on the huge deck which had 6 other occupied tables even though we gave them 3 days notice. 2) Rude waitress who apparently doesn’t like to work for a living 3) 20 minutes to get a beer to our table. After 2 hours I was walking to get my own drinks. 4) The food was god awlful. My food was undercooked and the overly salted batter had peeled off most of it before my plate arrived. Oh and they plop the plate down and run. Heard the crab pie was a disgrace from one of the other 20. If not for the view this would be zero stars. One star for the great view. I will only be back for the view and a beer. Not to eat.

My review is a bit different, because I did not actually go to the Deck, however, I am VERY impressed with them as a business and wanted to share it. We had an unfortunate situation arise and were not able to use tickets we’d purchased to an event at the Deck. When I asked if they might refund at least some of the money, I was surprised and relieved that they did offer a partial refund! I really appreciate the customer service and will definitely give them high praise for that kindness.

4 stars for the great waterfront view, 3 stars for food and service. I have to say, besides Morgan’s Pier and Cavanaugh’s River Deck in Philly; the Deck At Harbor Pointe has a killer waterfront view! It was a sunny 84 degrees out and we were getting hit by a constant breeze the entire time we were here. Upon entering, you are hit with a dark/gloomy banquet looking room(seems to suffer from an identity crisis). Things get better once you step outside! The deck is two-tiered with a main bar + satellite bars. They have a covered pavilion as well as out-in-the-sun tables. We observed a few people playing ladder golf on the deck. They have a ‘no-tell motel’ attached to this bar(reminds of La Costa in Sea Isle City)… ewwwwww. We were handed a drink menu that had the usual suspects of Bud, Coors, Yuengling, Corona, etc.(we found out later they have some other craft beers, why weren’t we informed?). The food menu seems to be standard pub grub. We started off with the Bavarian Pretzel Logs: three, large braided logs that were hot/buttery/soft on the inside, very good. The beer cheese dip was watery & tasteless but the German mustard was fine. The ‘Cantina Burger’ was advertised as a 8oz portion but it looked very small to me. It did have a good burger-to-bun ratio, I think it was a brioche bun(very good). The burger was cooked as requested but could of used a tad bit more seasoning. The ‘green chilies’ topping was a terrible tasting purée of snot. The french fries were perfect!(skin-on, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside). The Corona’s were going down smooth and the breeze was cooling my bald head. The prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly/competent. Both the outside/inside bathrooms were very clean! I would definitely recommend this place for afternoon/early evening drinks & a bite to eat. However, judging from their current pics on Facebook & Unilocal; I don’t think I would go here at nighttime… it looks a little too MOOK for our liking. As a note, their Facebook page indicates they are in the process of changing part of this place into the ‘Twisted Oak Beer Garden and Grill’(Moonshine Bar, Fire pit, live music/acoustic performances, etc.). Now that is something I can get behind, lots of potential here?

Last evening,(Fri) 4 of us sat at the back bar next to the water. I would have preferred the front, main bar, but that one was too crowded to accommodate 4 of us seated, plus the acoustical guitarist — who was really good by the way — Brent Christopher — was a little too loud for us to talk comfortably at the front bar. Could this place use some good management? Absolutely!!! Looked to be about half and half of the workers paying attention to their jobs. Some hustling, some not. Our bartender, although nice, was, uh, let’s just say he could have been more attentive. Much more attentive. In spite of that — it was a beautiful spot to spend a Fri. evening on the river. We had the happy hour specials which were a great array of beers on tap for $ 3 and five $ 5 app specials. We just had the big braided pretzels with cheese and mustard which were really good, one had the jerk chicken sandwich which he said was good, and from the reg. menu, cheeseburgers — which — to me — was one of the best I’ve ever had out. And that’s saying something. Typically I hate hamburgers out because of grissly hockey pucks, but this was top of the line. On a good roll, and really good french fries. I think it was $ 10, but worth every bite. I don’t much like the walk through the big bar area to get out back to the deck, but once you get out there you’re transformed to the seashore. Would be nice to put a boardwalk outside leading to the back deck, but hey — that’s just me. If you can move past the sometimes bad service, I Very highly recommend The Deck for their outside ambiance and food. Too bad a few knucklehead waitstaff can ruin a potentially great place.

EXTREMELYHORRIBLE experience. Cold food, wrong orders, rude waitress and manager. Drink orders and then refills that never came. They added items to the bills that were not ordered. Staff served incorrect food and never rectified the order. They never cleared the table. dishes were 6 – 7 dishes high. Staff made mistakes then acted like we did it. Huh?!? Wish I could give ZEROSTARS! More stuff, but it is not worth my time, much like this place. Shame on you ‘The deck’. Should e called ‘The train wreck ’

I went to the Deck at Harbor Pointe last night April 26 expecting the place to be crowded, what I entered into after paying a $ 10 cover charge was what appeared to be a lot of people the bartenders knew and a few bachelorette parties, nowhere near what I expected., it was difficult to get service walked back & forth between inside & outside Bar finally got service(only 10 people at outside bar). Hung out with my buddy for about 1 ½ hrs waiting to see if it got crowded. It did not. Very disappointed will not be going back. For the value and atmosphere it scores horribly.

I remember coming to this place when it was The Lagoon back in my college days. I always have liked bars that were spacious, so you can move around without being crammed in. The Deck gives you plenty of space, especially outside. The upgrades are really nice since the Lagoon days. The mens room was very clean with an attendant. The sound system was excellent. I came here for a joint birthday party Saturday night, and took part in the open bar. You really cant go wrong for $ 25, as the cover alone was $ 10. I am looking forward to coming back when the weather is warm, and spending some time outside.

The deck is a fun bar for night life and happy hours but I wouldn’t recommend having a meal there. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bet service is decent. They have live bands that are great a lot during the summer and the djs are good too. I’ve eaten there twice and have had horrible service both times. The first time I had lunch and the food was good, but it took about five minutes to even find someone to seat us and our waitress was in attentive. The next time we went for the all you can eat crab legs. Again, the food was good but our waitress’s shift ended and she left without telling anyone to help out table. We had to flag a someone down just to pay.

THISPLACEDOESNOTHONOR UnilocalCHECKINDEAL. I visited this spot with a colleague while we were in town for an expo. I could see how this would definitely be a fun party spot my ‘dining’ experience here left a lot to be desired. We sat down and I pulled up Unilocal so I could determine what dishes people were buzzing about. I noticed there was a check in coupon so I presented it to the server. She took the phone over to her manager in order to show them the coupon. Then she came back to tell us they don’t honor it… which I thought was very poor form. If I were the manager I would have made an exception in this ONE case and then contacted Unilocal. It’s $ 3…seriously??? However, that isn’t why I gave them only two stars, although it did seem to set the tone for the rest of our visit. The waitress rarely come around and when she did she was extremely forgetful or just didn’t give a damn. I had a hard time figuring out which one it was. We shared the Philly Cheesesteak Nachos and I had the Filet. Both dishes were decent, actually pretty good for what I would consider more of a bar than a restaurant. It just didn’t make up for the overall lackluster experience.

Hottest MILF party was off the hook!!! Great crowd a lot of fun. Pros: Reasonable food and drink prices and specials. Outdoor area w/bars and second DJ and dance area that’s open in Spring and Summer. Gets packed most nights. Cons: $ 10 cover. And like any club, hit or miss some nights.

The Deck is a super modern and spacious place to go out and have a great time. The venue has a ton of room inside so you aren’t mushed against sweaty people and the deck outside on the water is so amazing at night. They have plenty of bars so you don’t have to wait for a long time to get a drink and the staff is awesome! I also had my wedding there out on the upstairs deck and talk about an amazing view and freaking awesome reception party! The atmosphere is amazing, even my parents were having a great time! No matter what your«thing» is, club setting or just hanging out… you will have a great time here. Like I said, my parents had a great time: D This place is absolutely worth any cover charge… I paid $ 25 in AC to get into a club and it doesn’t hold a candle to this place. So go! __________________________ UPDATE: Still 5 Stars I have been back to The Deck on multiple occasions and for multiple types of events and I have to say that I have never been let down! The staff is always super friendly, the food and drinks are always served perfectly. The outside deck is obviously still my favorite(I may be a little slighted as it is were I got married) but the whole atmosphere is FUN and entertaining! The prices are seriously awesome as they usually will do a 4 hour event and only charge around $ 25 for the cover… and that gives you open bar and food… WOW! I also really appreciate how many benefits they sponsor here — I don’t know of any other venue that has such a great offering of benefit events. I know that every place is going to have some good and bad things about them but The Deck has so many amazing things going for it! — Amazing and fun atmosphere — Clean and modern inside and out — Awesome service and bartenders — Outstanding prices for everyday and events — The deck outside is on the water and so Hawt! — As a throw back to my first review: they did an AMAZING job on my wedding
