I always stop at these visitor centers when going to Rocky Mountain National Park. Every time you find some new things, plus you get to see things you have seen before. This is one of the places that I have to get something touristy. This time, I purchased a Rocky Mountain Conservancy cap for me and a tee-shirt for my daughter. The money I spent goes, not only for the cap, but it also goes to help fund things in the park. With the government screwing the parks out of funding, the parks can use all the help we can give them. These visitor centers are always a good place for information. Unfortunately, they could not make Trail Ridge Road open up. When in Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park, don’t miss these visitor centers. If possible, join the Rocky Mountain Conservancy. Also, if you have kids, make sure they get their passport stamped here.

Center includes an area with taxidermies to help children learn about animals in the area. Great gift shop next door. Found a souvenir baseball cap here that I wear all the time.

The Fall River Visitor Center is a US Department of Interior National Park Service public facility where you can obtain information and tour some somewhat simplistic but cute displays on two floors. It is housed in the same mall with the Rocky Mountain Gateway Gift Store where you will find large modern public restrooms and a huge, massive selection of somewhat pricey everything you can imagine. And all the way at the other end you will find The Trailhead Restaurant. I was mildly impressed with what in part our Federal Income Tax pays for as this most certainly should be here. The 3D maps of the Rocky Mountain National Park are excellent! Best restroom and information stop in this stretch right on the edge of Estes Park itself.
