Nothing short of an amazing week spent at this lodge. My family of 11 all loved it. We had three cabins and never got bored. The kids played at the playground or swam in the heated pool. S’mores at night by the fire were a favorite. The owners go over the top to make sure you’re happy and taken care of. There is even a horse riding stable on the property. The place is impeccably taken care of. The cabins are clean and have everything you need. They have daily towel service and will replenish any supplies like soap or shampoo you may need. There are events pretty much every day from a cowboy breakfast to an ice cream shop. We will be back.

We had a family gathering at the Glacier Lodge last week. Spent 5 days there. I hate to use this word, but here it is: Awesome! Went with little expectations and came away very impressed with this family operation. Staff goes out of it’s way to make you feel welcome and part of the family. We had a party of thirteen, including 5 children under the age of 6. Everyone felt at home in the cabins. Rented 4 cabins by the Big Thompson River. ‘By’ is an understatement. Almost in the river! Cabins were clean and functional. Felt safe having the children roam the premises alone… EXCEPT by the river! They loved the heated pool, the playground and sandbox, the campfire and of course the horses. Only complaint would be the internet. Best internet service is at the office. Since the office closes at 5 or so, would suggest that they place another ‘hotspot’ close to the laundry area. Next time we come to Estes Park, there is no question we are stating at the Glacier Lodge again!

As good as it gets! We stayed in the«Wildwood» cabin, it was great for my wife and I, plus our two children(6 and 5 y/o). Clean and neat, nothing to complain about. It was so good, we extended our stay another night! Luckily, we didn’t have to switch cabins. When they say«on the Big Thompson river», they mean it! We went in early June, and the river was rushing at quite the rate. Kids and wife went horseback riding, they said they loved it, and Marsha said the guides were fantastic. We attended the cowboy breakfast, great! Cowboy Brad around the campfire was excellent! I thought it was going to be cheesy, but he’s not at all; a true musician/entertainer. Bring a few beers and some chairs, have a few jrinks before the show starts. The pool was clean, kids kept wanting to go back. And there’s so much more to do there: ice cream, games, etc. I brought my own charcoal grill, and we ate at the cabin every night. The Safeway in town is probably your best bet for groceries I was told by a local. The family that runs Glacier Lodge deserve a big round of applause. Everyone was so nice. Thank you guys, for helping our family have one helluva vacation! We can’t wait to return!

My family of 4 loved staying at Glacier Lodge. This is a family run place and they really are very welcoming. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin along the river. The room was spacious and very clean. The grounds are very well maintained. The lodge is within a couple miles of the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Lots of activities onsite for the family: pool, ping pong, basketball, soccer balls, frisbees, large fire pit for s’mores and stables. Fabulous place for families. We will definitely be going back.

I love this place! I simply love it. The cabins are fantastic. There is a lot of land to roam and explore, and if that’s not enough there are horse stables! You can wander along the Big Thompson and fish, you can take a dip in the pool, or play outdoor games on the lawns. I loved staying here with my family. It was great to come back to after a long day in the park. We enjoyed being able to make our own meals too, because let’s be honest, Estes Park doesn’t have the best dining! I honestly wouldn’t say this a great place for a couples vacation but defiantly family, family all the way!

AWESOME place to stay! We will literally go back to Estes Park JUST to stay at this place again! The kids loved it so much they didn’t want to leave, and pitched a bit of fit when we told them it was their last day, begging us for just 1 more day. That was a first. The cabins were cleaner than my own house, and I’m a bit of freak about that stuff. Beautiful cabin, with an amazing view of the Rocky’s Continental Divide, on a gorgeous river that you can fish on, heated pool that was CLEAN, horse back riding right there on nice trail heads that even kids can ride with a guided horse, huge front porches, AMAZINGINGLYFRIENDLYSERVICE! SERIOUSLY, I can NOT get over how friendly and helpful everyone was! I’ve been to a lot of places, and not only was Glacier Lodge this way, but all of Estes Park! Whatever we needed, they took care of. It was fabulous! The only bad thing I can say is that we stayed in the cabin RIGHT next to the horse stables, so we couldn’t open the windows like we wanted to. Because you can smell the horses quite badly at times. And if the back windows were ever open, we could smell them no matter what. And those are some stinky animals in need of a bath, let me tell you. BUT, the owner(who lives right there on the property, and this literally is a family run place) very honestly and openly told me this before I made the reservations. He did not BS me. So I only had myself to blame. But next time, we’ll just stay by the pool instead. No biggy. In sum: super friendly, helpful, clean, beautiful, convenient(literally really is RIGHT by Rocky Mountain National Park) place to stay. Totally fair price too.
