I visited this business today(11/20/2015) to purchase my first handgun. It’s basically in the middle of nowhere, but the staff all possessed a wealth of professionalism, care, and understanding. I’m a racial/ethnic minority and was the only one in the store at that time. I felt nervous because on my drive to the store, I literally passed five houses in a row with Confederate Flags flapping in the wind. I thought to myself, «Oh man… I hope I don’t enter some Mississippi Burning vortex of no return!» I also thought to myself, «If this store has a Confederate Flag waving in the wind, then I’m turning around… pronto!» When I arrived to the store, I saw Old Glory waving instead and I felt much more comfortable. The person who helped me greeted me with respect and was kind and helpful. I purchased a small, 9 mm handgun and even fired it at their in-store shooting range. Indeed, the store is quite convenient in that they provide a shooting range and carry-permit classes on site and their store hours are more than sufficient for busy work schedules like mine. I consider myself liberal/progressive, but I am not at all anti-gun or anti-second amendment. I do, however, believe in gun owner accountability and responsibility and I think as a society guns should be treated seriously with sufficient state and federal standards in place to mitigate problems or tragedy. I honestly felt like Top Guns was a responsible gun shop and that their staff really took their trade seriously. I really appreciated this. Right now, I would highly recommend this gun shop to any person.
