This is my absolute favorite Albertsons location! It’s always clean and comfortable, well stocked and easy to navigate. They stock my favorite water as well as coconut water. It’s a bit more expensive than Fred Meyer for those, but if I’m there and need it, I’ll pick it up versus making a separate trip to Freddie’s just for that. I love that they have a salad bar where you can make your own and they charge you by weight. The staff is always nice. I absolutely love the guy in the meat department. I forget his name, but he has a great attitude. He loves his job and he is knowledgeable. He always answers questions, chats with my mom and me, and gives great recommendations. The cashiers are always friendly, recognizing the regular customers and chatting with them as they ring up their purchases. It’s very well stocked, I can find some obscure items, great beer selection, and so much more. It’s a little bit more expensive than Wal-Mart or Winco, but for some items, it’s totally worth it. I have been coming to this store for many years, and will definitely keep returning to, as it is close to my house and the employees are wonderful.

When I think of Albertson’s in general — I think of nothing. Not good. When I think of this location — I think of pretty much nothing… Not good. The notion of having to have a club card to «save money» on items that are fictitiously inflated in price to attempt to manipulate the masses into thinking they are getting a discount is pathetic. Stop it — Albertson’s.

I tend to like Albertsons more than Safeway, but Dennis S. is 100% correct about the funky fish smell. My daughter was in the shopping cart the other day when we needed scallops. The moment we stopped she started yelling, «yuck!» I knew why she was yelling yuck, I’m just not 2 and cant get away with it or I would’ve joined her. They have an extensive wine selection, that’s a plus! They normally have a decent price on beer. Just depends on the day. I apparently hit this place at the right times, because I never see it crazy busy or long lines. 3 stars it is!

I shop Albertsons alot, it is my primary food store. I do have a problem with their fish department. Why does it stink so bad when you walk by it? I bought some salmon there years ago, it smelled rotten when I opened it at home, went in the garbage. I will never buy seafood there again. Newman’s has more fish and never smells like this.

This place rules! Always has the shelves stocked full of beer pong supplies. And this weekend was the best, a 30 bomb of Bud Light for $ 15.

Well, it’s Albertson’s. If you’re from the Northwest, you already know what to expect; if you’re not, you’ll probably be disappointed if you’re expecting much. On the bright side, this Albie’s is better than most. It has a decent salad bar(conventional veggies and a heavy dependence on canned fruits and other processed foods, but still, it beats a burger, right?), a reasonably professional group of employees, and a slightly less funky look and feel than most Albertson’s stores in the area. As grocery stores go, this Albie’s has a better meat department than most in town. The products aren’t first-rate — if you are really discriminating about good meat and seafood, you know better than to shop for them in a supermarket — but they’re not terrible, and there’s usually a decent deal or two to be had. The downsides basically boil down to this: It’s still Albertson’s. That means the colossally stupid«preferred customer card» game, wherein they gouge the hell out of you if you don’t have one or forget to use it. It also means that even with a card, you’ll get raped if you try to do all your shopping there in one shot. You might find deals on most of the things you’re looking for, but Albie’s has perfected the art of margin preservation. Rest assured that out of every 10 popular items, two or three will be outrageously priced so they can collect a pound of your flesh. Plus, am I the only one irritated with the«SAVE! Buy 7 for $ 16!» scheme? Sure, I can do the math, but I find the whole blatant attempt to distract shoppers from the actual price insulting and wrong, just as I find the double-the-price, then push it as «buy one, get one FREE!» tactic offensive. I don’t fall for any of their pricing bullshit, but my grandma did — and so do a lot of other people, I bet. Shame on Albie’s for ripping off grandmas and other nice people. Honest merchants just post their prices, they don’t play games with their customers. The paltry, overpriced selection of produce is laughable. So is the selection of bread. Skip ALL the in-house bakery products — they are cheap, low-grade garbage, the kind of stuff that makes you fat and gives you diabetes in the bargain. Albie’s features bread products that LOOK good — they are expensive and come in nice packages — but are just average bread at high-margin prices. Steer clear and visit a local bakery. Oh yeah — milk, cheese, and eggs are common commodities, but Albertson’s typically won’t give you a deal on any of these. Finally, there are some pretty young women working here, but that serves only to widen the contrast between how the service looks and how it actually works. The whole self-checkout thing is a joke(it seems the system is designed to cheat you on the price of one or more items and hope you won’t bother to ask for help) and an indignity you shouldn’t have to suffer for the prices Albertson’s charges. The salad bar and meat department deserve a star each, but the rest of the place blows. It is way too close to Trader Joe’s to get much of my business. Unless you’re a white-bread, TV dinner-eating, mindless slob consumer, you’ll want to steer clear of this combination of ugly food at ugly prices. There’s a reason the Albertson’s chain is going down in flames and selling off dozens of stores: They have convenient neighborhood locations going for them, and not much else.

Many late nights were spent here looking for the random item ranging from food to wine to hardware, but this location just seemed to have everything. It didn’t matter what time, the place was always open for late night consumption of various goods and the service was always super nice here, day and night. Parking could be a mess during the day time and the shopping carts sometimes were all over the place late at night. The selection of goods here is actually quite decent. Seafood, wine, and a fine bakery has kept this place popular. Its in an ideal location along busy Coburg Road and just off the highway.
