I rented a Ricoh copier from this company in 2010. The copier worked very well the first two or three years, then started having major functionality problems. These problems have become so severe, that I tried to exchange the equipment for a different one. The company informed me that I could not exchange the equipment because I was not able to form a contract because my business licence — unbeknownst to me as the state had sent the notice to another person entirely — had expired. That did not stop them from automatically «renewing» the expired contract on the defective, older machine. I have been trying to get rid of it since June. Although I fulfilled the entire term of the original contract and the machine should be mine anyhow, by all rights, they now want me either to give them $ 1,800.00 for a defective, old machine, or they want $ 400.00 to take it back — and they expect me to pay to have it put in perfect, as-​new working order *AND* pay shipping costs. I gave them notice in June that they needed to come get it, they acknowledged my notice letter by email in July, but then in August disavowed any knowledge of the notice, claimed I had not notified them that they needed to get the machine and that my notice was not timely, and have been essentially impossible to work with ever since. My suggestion? Get an «inferior» copy/​fax/​printer/​scanner from Office Depot for $ 300 to $ 500 and take your chances. I paid $ 400/​mo since 2010 for this machine, it barely works, and they want to steal another $ 1000 to $ 1,800 for me to get rid of it. Very dishonest, shady company.
