I did IVF through Dr. Austin’s Clinic 5 years after working with a larger clinic in Oregon and I have only the best things to say about him! So did the three other friends I referred to him. Professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I’ve heard great things about him from an international gay couple, their surrogate, and egg donor!

After trying to get pregnant for over 3 years my husband and I saw Dr Austin. We thought he was great… The staff was wonderful and the phone nurse was amazing. she was there for any question you had(and i had alot!). We went to the Fertility Center of Oregon for a full year and had a variety of different tests done. We decided on doing IUI’s. I believe I had 3 of them and they didn’t work. I also had a «trigger shot». I was on clomid as well. They diagnosed me with mild PCOS. When we were ending our year there my husband and I decided IVF was our next step. We paid the(i believe) $ 500 extra for the IVF consult(this is required before you can do IVF). I actually took my mom to that appointment, thankgoodness, because she was really pushing for me to have my fallopian tubes checked to see if there was blockage(this was called a hysterosalpingogram). I was annoyed with my mom for questioning the clinic because well, I guess thats what kids do, they get annoyed with their parents, but boy am I glad she questioned. I reluctantly did the hysterosalpingogram to appease her and they found many uterine polyps… so many in fact that there was no place for the egg to land. I had many many vaginal ultrasounds over the course of the year and for some reason these polyps didn’t show up. I scheduled a hysteroscopy to clean them out and a month later I was pregnant. SO I didn’t have PCOS and it annoyed me a bit that this basic test that should have been done in the beginning wasn’t done. I was actually reading the paper work they gave me on the Hysterosalpingogram and in the first paragraph it states, «it is often considered one of the routine tests performed during an infertility evaluation». But on the bright side, Dr Austin said with the polyps removed he thought I should try on my own instead of going through with IVF. I think they made a bit of a mistake by not doing the hysterosalpingogram, BUT I would most definitely see them again because in the end we saved a ton of money by not doing IVF and most importantly we have our baby boy :) Now on to baby #2!

Dr. Austin is a miracle doctor. I had two years of pain and nobody knew why and he figured it out! He is a compassionate and caring doctor and I would recommend him to anyone!
