Great little neighborhood restaurant off of College Hill in Eugene. Not much to look at from the outside, nor really much to look at from the inside, but is a friendly bar and grill serving up surprisingly good meals. I had a salmon and shrimp over fettuccine dish that was excellent. My wife had an artisan pizza which she found delicious. Service was good on a Monday night and not too crowded at 5:45 when we arrived. We will be going back to sample other items on their menu.

Burger/beer special is a great deal. Attentive service, intriguing menu, albeit in a really weird location. Hoping to try something fancy next time.

Always love coming to Billy Mac’s! They have the best service and food that is always consistent. My favorite waitress here is Cathy and she does an exceptional job on refills, conversations, and making sure your experience is top notch. They have the best grandma’s rolls and they have the freshest salads! I have had the garden salad and the Caesar salad, but the Caesar salad is my favorite and definitely worth a try! They also have very good pasta, oysters, soups that are all very fresh! The best part is the dessert which is homemade and my favorite is the chocolate cream pie. Overall this place is great and definitely worth a try if you are in the area or in Eugene! Great service, great food and great dessert!

Really good food, a little pricy but worth it. Staff is friendly and attentive. Outside seating is amazing in the summer time. Awesome little bar/restaurant in the friendly hood.

Amazing! Vegetarian friendly, great drinks, and friendly service. The grown up grilled cheese was really good and the fries and side salad too. Nice appetizers too.

My family of four ate here for the first time and each one of us were genuinely disappointed. The server was gone for long stretches leaving us with empty drinks and missing condiments. My seven year old that loves burgers took two bites of his and would not eat more because it was burned. My 10 year old ordered a grilled cheese that arrived without the slightest bit of grilling on the bread, just really dry bread with melted cheese. Another meal where the kid took two bites and abandoned it. My wife’s fish tacos were a bland mix of gray rice, burned fish, shredded iceberg lettuce and cheap cheese. We ordered onion rings for a starter and they were very saturated in grease. the one highlight of the meal may have been the dipping sauce that came with the onion rings. My Kobe beef burger tasted like it was just a frozen patty, nothing special. All in all nothing stood out except for the whopper of a bill — $ 80 for four of us to eat dinner. Bummer

I come into Billy Mac’s whenever I can, the food and service are top notch. Don’t overlook it because it’s tucked away in a residential neighborhood, that only adds to the charm. I’ve never had a trip to Billy Mac’s where I left without a smile on my face. It’s hard not to with the wonderful food, and people. I can speak from personal experience that the pasta primavera, house burger, and ribeye are phenomenal. Don’t forget to add the Cajun spices on the ribeye, it’s a nice touch. My friends can speak for just about everything else on the menu, and I’ve never seen an unsatisfied customer. You’ll love Billy Mac’s, I guarantee it.

Ordered the warm spinach shrimp salad and it was excellent! Plenty of fresh shrimp… it was excellent! I’ll definitely be back!

Best service in Eugene(good service in Eugene is hard to come by) always fresh, always hot. The décor is straight out of a northern Wisconsin cabin, other than that it’s the BEST grill in town!

As a regular restaurant patron around the Eugene area, I can safely say Billy Macs has some of the worst service I have experienced. I have eaten there twice since it is conveniently close to my house, and found their food mediocre to fair. I attempted a 3rd time and we stood at the bar for 7 minutes without any acknowledgment! Not even eye contact from a bartender or waitress. Eventually we walked out, stunned at their complete lack of customer service. I can safely say I will not be back.

Billy Mac’s is amazing. We come from out of town every year to Eugene, and this is our #1 spot for quality food, great service, and an overall exceptional dining experience. We have gotten to know Billy and his family over the years on a personal basis, and he is a very kind and considerate person and restaurant owner you would ever want there, taking care of you! YOU will be in fantastic hands, no doubt!

So disappointed! I’ve been told this place has good food, but I didn’t get to experience it because my boyfriend and I were turned away. We strolled in around 8:30 pm or so(posted closing time on Fri.-Sat. is at 10:00 pm) and we were told that they were closed– even though there were at least two or three groups of people inside, signs were still outside, the lights were still on and door was unlocked. Will not even be attempting to go back.

Our family’s favorite. Derek does such a great job on the waiter side of things and its always a pleasure to get him or Cathy, who is also the manager. These folks really do their best to insure your dinning experience is a good one and the food, well, if the food isn’t any good, why would you go back? try the French Dip, Clam Chowder, Cobb Salad or one of Billy’s unbelievable Fresh Fish concoctions. Hey, remember, It’s ALL good!

‘My friend made reservations for a spot, i cant remember the name though.’ ‘Ok, lets find out which spot. Billy something… i think, but i remember suggesting BELLY’S.‘ I’m sitting at William Mac’s establishment one summer afternoon with a group of people thinking…‘uhhhhh, what the hell are we doing here?‘ Then, the realization! This is the place you end up at when one foreign language speaking person suggests something to someone on a cell phone with questionable reception. We realize… ohhhhhhhhhhhh you meant Belly… that spot downtown??? Ummmmm, from what i understand, thatsa pretty legit spot, although pricey, i understand it to be quality. Unfortunately(due to miscommunication) we all end up at BILLY’S Place! Lets see… well, the waitress was very nice. Ok, lets go over the list of indications that say: NOTGOOD, LEAVE! 1. Gross lip(stick) dirty smudges on just about every glass that was served to our table — NASTY! 2. They have a friggin digital lottery machine for those hardcore lotto fiends to waste away sunny days and hard-earned dollars at for hours — SAD. 3. Duct taped, worn out, sticky booth seating — CARELESS. 4. Fine dining prices at a restaurant with chipped-glass tables — NERVOUS. 5. Dark(almost no) lighting in the place — DEPRESSING. 6. «Complimentary» cheese bread — QUESTIONABLE. But nice, i guess. 7. You’re thinking to yourself…‘damn, am i gunna get sick eating here???’ — BECAREFUL. Well, thankfully no one got sick. We did however lose money on the deal! This place is FOUL. Its quite rare that i say something like do NOT go here to eat, but at, what like $ 18 for some burnt-ass salmon, $ 17 for 3 pieces of(we havent changed our fryer oil in 2 years) fish and chips, and some other overpriced forgettable dishes, im saying clearly to you — NO! The one star is for the waitress who was very friendly and attentative! Two more notes: No, this place is NOT a hidden gem in Eugene Cody H! and, Richard L, they penned in that extra $ 3 for that Ahi sandwich since you wrote your review; i saw it on the menu for a ridiculous $ 15.50 — for a sandwich! Ha! Billy you so crazy!

We have lived in Eugene for 12 years, eat out at least once a week and can’t recall a worse meal for the price than last evening at Billy Mac’s. My wife said her pizza tasted like it was made on a base of biscuit dough and my grilled ahi sandwich was mediocre at best. The fish was dry and the bread apparently a white bread hamburger bun from a mass production bakery. Worst of all, when presented the bill, the price charged for the sandwich was $ 3.00 more than listed on the menu. After a feeble excuse and apology, that was adjusted.

Great place to eat, drink and be Mary, Cindy or even Billy! Great atmosphere, excellent service. Our waiter /bartender was a great kid, full of energy and excellent recommendations! Lets all give him a shout out. Derek, my man! He was very cool. The drinks were excellent and the food. I had a Caesar Salad with Cajun Chicken. Excellent salad! My lovely wife had fried oysters that were cooked perfectly ! They had great live music playing and the vibe was very chill.

Just ate at this place and it was amazing. I recommend Chef Bill’s prime dip, but the cheddar cheese soup is fantastic as well. This place is a hidden gem in Eugene!

I ate here for the first time this evening. A real mom and pop treasure, right down to the ‘gone fishin’ décor. Several TVs distracted me from the out-of-place-ness of the fishing lures and reels, however. I gobbled some Tillamook Cheddar soup prior to engulfing a Cobb salad which was stacked to the heavens. I definitely received what I paid for. The food was way higher quality than what I would have guessed when I walked in the door, and the portions were incredible. Not for someone on a diet. The server was also a real stud, full of jokes and amiability and treated the geriatric customers with their due respect.

Never had a bad meal here, although the dinner entrees are on the pricey side(especially when you consider that salad is not included). The salmon and chicken picatta are excellent. Friendly neighborhood bar/café. A great place to watch a game.

I can’t speak for the food yet because I haven’t had it, but looking to watch a Blazer game the other eve we stopped by Billy Mac’s and were treated with sincere service and an adequate tap selection. I think Billy Mac’s niche is catering to Friendly neighbors looking for a quick bite and a quick drink. The place is rather small, yet arranged and decorated in a manner that regardless of where you sit you have a good view of the two high definition televisions over the bar. There’s some patio seating on the west side of the building which has potential to become the Rennies and Mcmenamins of my graduated years. I suggest this because 19th is a rather quiet street and Bee Mac’s has a Happy Hour from 4 – 6. Just the place to sip an IPA while inhaling some of Linn counties finest grass seed this April? Could be. They do Italian food and my girlfriend was rather impressed with the prices. «Classy yet unpretentious.» Again, I haven’t had the food, but the bartender was nice and the folks getting faded on the beer tower seemed to be enjoying themselves. Oh, the beer tower! Kind of gimmicky, it’s a giant glass with a spicket that for $ 16 can be loaded full of a domestic ale, or for $ 22 you could be sippin’ on Ninkasi IPA. Other beers on tap included a hefeweizen(by Widmer?) and an organic ale(by Deschutes? Green Lakes?). As you can see I wasn’t really paying attention. I was just happy to see the Blazers beat the Clippers. Too bad Lamarcus sprained his ankle though.
