You buy plants from them at your own risk as «plant material» is not guaranteed! We got lavender plants that died within days… and after a year of back and forth the best they could come up with was«they are not guaranteed» In addition, they use delaying tactics instead of being honest and upfront with their intentions to not address the issues you are bringing up. Beware of what they tell you if you ever need to log a complaint. A few days after a landscaping job I advised them, both verbally and via e-mail, that a few of the plants they provided were not doing well. At the time they said that it was normal, as the lavenders were just planted and that I should wait until next spring. Although not too convinced about their answer, I decided to grant them the benefit of the doubt, so I waited till next spring and even into summer to give the plants enough chance to grow and benefit of the warmer weather. The plants were dead. I went to them again with the information that the plants never recovered and requested them to be replaced. During our face to face conversation, Kathleen said she would have it looked at to see what could be done. Next thing I know I have a message on my phone stating that nothing can be done, as the plant material is not guaranteed, and then she mumbles something about a harsh winter. I may be wrong here, but it seems to me that if they were upfront and honest, they would have addressed the issue of non-guaranteed plant material the first time I mentioned the issue of the plants, instead they elected to string me along during a whole year.

My family has been using Earthworks landscaping for over 15 years. Whether you need a little assistance with mulching, planting or irrigation; or help with a larger project, like building a retaining wall out of stone, or providing a total makeover to your yard and landscape, the crew at Earthworks can’t be beat. The husband-wife owner team have been doing great business for many years in the Eugene area, and have gained some fiercely loyal and long term customers. Joe, one of the owners, is so knowledgeable about plants and I have benefited greatly from his advice when planning my yard and landscape with hedges, year round ground covers and low maintenance shrubbery. Their stonework is really high quality and well constructed. I appreciate the company’s sense of environmentalism; using sustainable methods, native plants, and no toxic chemicals. The crews and service provided aren’t cheap but the quality of the work is top notch. Before you commence in planning a huge outdoor revamp, or perhaps you know what you want and just need help with the execution of your visions, Earthworks is great to work with. They are very efficient, hard working, and respectful when working around existing plants or gardens. Friendly and professional and brimming with energy, I HIGHLY recommend Earthworks for all your landscape needs!
