Loved this place. I believe it was the owner of the shop who helped me and he knows knives. We talked for a long time about what I was looking for and he was very helpful showing me different knives until we narrowed it down to one. I highly recommend this place.

I found this place after doing some research on the internet. I was wanting to replace a folding knife I had, and I had narrowed down my manufacturer selection to Gerber, Benchmade, and SOG. On the internet, it mentioned this store carried Benchmade, so I decided to go down and see what they had to offer… Upon entering the store, a woman greeted me from behind a counter — I’ll be with you in a few minutes she said… I replied, not in a hurry… Huh, I thought… I look around only to find I am the only customer in the store… I think, interesting… I must have interrupted whatever it was she was doing… so I wait… Sure enough, in a few minutes, she comes over to the counter I am standing at. I proceed to tell her I was wanting to replace a folding knife. I then proceeded to give her a few parameters, in hopes she can guide me in the right direction… but no such luck. I think, OK… then I narrow down my parameters to only price… and bingo! Now, she is able to narrow down the knife selection… So, I end up looking at several Benchmade ‘auto’ knives, that are located in a single counter… I start asking about edge quality in reference to the steel used — she doesn’t know… I ask about how the blades are black in color — is it paint? Anodization? — she doesn’t know… My god, I think… why do you work in a knife shop? In addition to her lack of knowledge about knives, it was hard looking at knives in this shop… they had all these restrictions… we allow customers, one opening of the knife, she said. I asked why, do the knives only open so many times? Is quality so bad, it might fail right in the store? Why this policy? She doesn’t know — so one opening of the knife it was. As if that weird policy isn’t enough, this store had a policy of one knife on the counter at a time… or something… because after sampling each knife, it was put back under the counter. So, after this happens a couple of times, I ask her… could you just leave a couple of knives on the counter at a time, so I can compare them? She reluctantly complies… and so the comparison continues… Yes, the entire time I am in this store, I feel like I am inconveniencing this person or something… After what seems like an eternity, I end up settling on, and purchasing a Benchmade auto opening knife… Needless to say, I won’t go back to Edge n Knife again…
