Firestone Complete Auto Care

Took daughters car in for a tune up, new front breaks, oil change and recommend transmission flush. Cost was fair, wait time about 3 hours. Two weeks later car completely lost transmission functions! Dodge dealer quoted repair cost. Down side to trusting Firestone: when a car has a scheduled transmission flush, it is optimal to ACTULY replace fluid with TRANSMISSION!!! Thankfully we have excellent auto insurance. Next step insurance autos of car and occurrence. Very disappointed. This could have been a very difficult situation.

Brought my 2004 car in for an oil change. Had a coupon for it to cost $ 19.99. When I picked up the car they charged me $ 60 for the oil change because they did the wrong type. I asked to see the manager and he was conveniently not available. I will never go back there. They have lost a 15 year customer.

These guys are great! They got me in and out when I was in a hurry.

They take foreverrr. It shouldnt take two hours to do a brake inspection, especially when you have an appointment.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever. I brought in my 2004 Ford F-​250. The complaint being a popping and grinding. I felt I might have very well messed up the race on one of my hubs bearings. It took me coming back the next day because they couldn’t find what I was talking about.
Brought it back bright and early the next day and their «ace» mechanic looked it over. He found the bad bearing. Front right hub. Know what they did? Replaced the whole hub assembly. A skilled mechanic or an «honest» one would have replaced the bearings as long as thet were able to seat properly. Or at least offer to show the customer the old parts for verification. Not here.
I also told them my steering had some play. Made me uncomfortable. Told them I felt maybe I had a bad tie rod end. (I worked as a mechanic/​shop helper for a couple years in a shop in Virginia. An old pop and son shop that held two of the most honest men I’ve ever met.) That being said I have a bit of an idea of the workings of my vehicle.
They ended up throwing two tie rods ends on. Are you ready for the best part? My steering was unchanged. They said if it was still bad I’d have to replace my power steering gear box or whatever it’s called. After a little research I found there’s an adjustment nut and hex head bolt on top of the steering box. So last night I took apart a couple things and got down there and made said adjustments. It worked. Wow. Now my steering is just as tight as a normal vehicle should be. That got me upset enough to go ahead and write a Unilocal review.
Oh and were you curious about the cost of this debacle? Sure you are. These «mechanics» and I use that word soooo loosely. They charged me $ 1500.00!!!
So seriously, beware! Your probably better off with some backyard mechanic. Firestone basically robbed me. Bamboozled me even! They didn’t show me the bad parts and just threw parts at a problem and fixed NOTHING!
If there were stars going in the negative direction I would give them five stars for being the worst! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

It was on my graduation, close to 7pm, I got a flat tire. Thanks God I found this place and they still took me because I’m from out of town and I needed to drive to Seattle that night. Dylan, I think he’s the supervisor there, offered me a free flat tire fix for my graduation. After like 10′ he told me that my tire is not fixable because I put the Fix-​a-​Flat in it and I had to get a new tire. I was just a poor new graduate, didnt want to spend $ 100 on a new tire. I tried to convince him just fix my tire for temporarily and maybe I would buy a new tire once I have money. And eventually he just gave me a brand new tire for free. OMG. Can you believe it? I was soooo surprised. Dylan is soooooo nice. Hes the man! I wish I could thank him more than just saying «thank you» :)

This was easily the best oil change experience of my life. I easily found a coupon online, made an appointment online, was greeted promptly and enthusiastically, they took my car right away, had it done on time, didn’t get dicked around about a tranny flush or some bs like that, and was thanked for my business with a handshake. Almost none of these ever happen, so to have the whole package was a very pleasant surprise. They definitely earned my repeat business.

I bought new tires about 3 months ago. I didn’t buy the cheap ones! I spent a lot of money on my tires and expected continued service. When I got a flat and went in for repair, they said «sorry. we can’t fix it. You will need to buy a new tire.» I left figuring i was going to go somewhere else. The other tire company said it looked like I ran over a rock that punctured my tire. Seriously??? A Rock??? They would have gladly replaced it, but didn’t carry that tire and since on my car they all have to match, I am now having to go back to Firestone and pay close to $ 200 for a new tire. They will never again get my business!!! If I had purchased at the other company I would have a new tire at no charge. Shame on you, Firestone!!!

I’ve only had one experience from Firestone almost 2 years ago. heres my story:
My boyfriend and I were at the mall and after a long day of shopping we headed to our car. First thing we notice is that we had a flat tire.awesome. We couldnt find our tire iron. No worries we’re parked right in front of Firestone. We’re from Florence so we needed the tire fixed ASAP since we had a long drive home. So, we go inside Firestone and ask them for help. the guy tells us they close in 5 minutes but would go ask the last guy who was still in the back if he could give us a hand. Almost 20 minutes later the guy comes back and tells us, «Um well he worked a 6 hour shift today and is really tired so hes just going to go home.» WOW, really? We even offered to pay extra since we had no other means of getting our tire fixed. No such luck.
I guess after that long 6 hour shift you couldn’t lend a hand to someone who really needed it? Thanks for nothing.
Thankfully, fellow Unilocaler Lee eventually came and helped us out.

Took over 30 minutes to get someone to look at the car just to have a tire rotation. Really? I can’t imagine if this place was actually busy!

Went in two Saturdays ago looking for four new tires. One employee was helping customers the other was behind the desk working on the computer. Stood in front of him for five mins with no acknowledgement that I was even there. Walked away and around the store for a few then went back and stood at the counter again for another five mins with out even a hello or we will be right with you. Firestone just lost my Bussiness!
