I like Fred Myer’s when it comes to some things. Some times you can find good deals on things, and they have a decent produce section. But my review today is based on product I purchased. I knew I should have stuck to a salon, but it was convenient and I honestly didn’t think there would be a difference although I have family and friends in the beauty industry. I bought Bumble and Bumble Cocoa shampoo because I was almost out. When I used the one from Fred Myer’s it felt different. Like it was almost watered down. I’m not sure. But you could tell it had a different texture. I then looked at the 2 bottles side by side and noticed they were not the same. They looked similar. But not the same. Buyer please be aware! You are paying the same price here that you will at the salon and this is fake and does not work as well. London, or Calypso the Salon has this product. I know this is more than likely not Fred Myer’s doing as they are just the ones just putting product on their shelves.

One-Stop Shopping. That just about sums up the experience you could expect when coming here. You can get your clothes shopping, grocery shopping, electronic shopping, and even home improvement shopping all in one place.

I love Fred Meyer! They have the best clothes, and although their prices tend to be higher than Walmart, their selection and quality is better. And when they have a sale they have the best sale prices.

Usually clean bathrooms… store is ok nothing great, nothing bad. Parking is a mess! It usually takes longer to park then it does in the store, if you are just running in for something go to the Albertsons… parking lot is not as bad and pricing is comparable.

Please understand, I shop at this store almost weekly. And while I love the employees, there is room for improvement here. 1. Pricing on the shelves need to be reflected at the register. This may seem ‘petty’ but after having to literally come back in with items in hand(that’s what I was told), PLUS receipt(calling will not resolve the issue), is a lot to ask customers! If the item shows sale on the floor, it should show at the register, but this is now the 5th time I’ve had to go back in with items in hand to report that the shelving price was ‘different’ than the register. Each time I get«Oh I think the shelf pricing sale wasn’t pulled, it’s no longer on sale.» This may be the truth, but it is NOT the responsibility of the shopper to know lapsed sale items. 2. There can be severe price discrepancies on items with other stores. If they are committed to price matching, they may want to have folks pay attention to the local prices of their items. Case in point: reading glasses. The same reading glasses are sold at Walgreens, at Walmart, and other stores. They priced their reading glasses at 15.99, is $ 5.99 at Walmart, which is a very big pricing difference! If the glasses were of higher quality, I would agree worth the pricing difference, but they were literally the same glasses! Lesson learned, since I bought them FIRST at Fred Meyers, only to find them at Walmart 2 months later NOT on sale, at a $ 10 difference. 3. The issue that has been resolved; they are now going to put the organic items in the same area(finally) rather than having a finding item problem, because some items are in the ‘specialty health area’, and others are shelved with similar items that are NOT organic/green. It’s confusing and makes shopping difficult when some of the items are in one area, some in another, and some still in a 3rd shelving. 4. Parking. Parking despite what other’s may say, is difficult at best. I am not alone in saying this. Talking with employees tell of horror stories of folks having near misses in the parking lot. It’s difficult, because the area supports a large disabled/senior population wanting disabled parking, with 11 disabled available spots in the lot. It ends up with a vulture parking lot problem of folks sitting waiting for openings, locking up the parking lot area. One disabled spot is literally around the block of the building, with a locked garden area in winter. If you get ‘stuck’ having to park here, because all available store front parking is taken, it is a hike to the first available entrance, since there is no door within reach. Also, the garden entrance even in summer, when open does not have carts available to help the disabled get through the store. I would suggest that they need a higher ratio of disabled parking, given the demographic population, and constant use of the disabled area. 5. The Carts. Disabled carts need attention. All of the baggers and lot attendants complain about this problem; the disabled carts NEED yearly maintenance, leading to cart problems of depleted batteries that CAN’T be recharged! Transmission problems with the drive train, chugging the carts forward then slamming stop. This need to be fixed! The lot attendant’s tell me that they don’t feel that management listens to them about this common complaint and lets the carts go: at times they have less than 2 carts working.(This was according to their staff, not me). More often I have seen folks have to get out of the cart to go find someone to get them another one, which is not accessibility. 6. Hard to get customer service to do simple things. I had customer service please call a department to see if they had an item, rather than having me ‘hike’ through the store to find out if they still carried an item. Seemed put out, wanting to know why I didn’t just walk. They don’t realize that there are better ways to handle this problem than demanding customers to have to walk through out the store for an item check; esp if they are disabled. 7. Out of date items. Please pull your post dated items so customers don’t get dosed. This happened in the yogurt/milk section of the organic foods. The brown cow was 2 months past date. I know the size of the dating can be a problem, but 2 months past date is just gross. I didn’t bring it back, because of illness and time. 8. More than one disabled bathroom stall is really needed in a store your size. I ran into an issue where someone literally took the only disabled stall, parked it for more than 15 minutes while I tried to wait. Thankfully staff was willing to let me use the disabled employee stall, but I had to climb stairs to use it. It would be appreciated to have a minimum of 2 – 4 disabled stalls given, again, the number of seniors/disabled persons who use this store. Thanks.

Been shopping at this location off and on for 35 years, more off lately since I don’t live in the state. But I found myself here to buy party supplies recently. There’s plenty of parking. The store is laid out pretty well. Aisles are nice and wide, which matters more to me as I age. Also well lit, which matters more as well. They had everything I was looking for. Bagels, Peanut Butter. Cookies. Vitamin Water. Granola. Crackers. Bananas. Angel Food Cake. And Beer. What? That’s not what you buy for a party? Don’t judge me. Actually I was shopping for a 216-mile relay run and getting snacks and beer for my teammates. Freddy’s had it all. Prices were reasonable. Cashier was friendly. And the beer selection was vast enough that I stood there in front of it for a while until an old guy walked by and said«Hard to choose, huh?» and I replied«Yeah, especially when you are buying for 11 other people.» and he said«They aren’t here. Screw ‘em. They get what they get.» and walked on. Words to live by. Words to live by.

When I lived in Eugene this was my favorite place to shop besides Grocery Outlet. The employees were friendly, the lines moved fast, they had self-checkout, good selection of organic and gluten-free foods, good bulk section. Also, while not part of Fred Meyer, the little espresso cart with organic coffee and the friendly woman running it was a nice bonus.

Fred Meyer’s is a good place to go for certain things and when they are having a sale. I have found they have sales on socks a lot, so you can get pretty good deals on those. They have a huge selection of everything you could need for food and your home including clothes and electronics. Groceries are more spendy here and would be better off going to Winco. I do still go here a lot from time to time when I am looking for something specific such as socks or recently I bought new sunglasses there also on sale!

The employees make this a GREAT store. I really appreciate the natural foods section there; LOTSOFSTUFF! I have no idea about the corporation itself but it sure is a PLEASURE to shop there weekly, which I will again say is because of all the staff I encounter there. So helpful & accommodating. Besides, the gas is a GREAT deal so I can do both simultaneously. ANYTHING that saves time is GREAT by me!

Freddys is a really nice store. Very open store with lots of lighting. Deli had a lot of selections. Starbucks is nestled in the corner and they have a Chase branch as well. Prices were a little high, but not Market of Choice high. Parking is plentiful, and its pretty clutch being next to the liquor store and having a gas station. This place does get crazy busy at times though. I’ve seen parking be not so plentiful as well. Hit and miss I guess… all and all, it’s not a bad spot, I’ve always been treated good, and I like the self pay lanes better here. The cash comes out at eye level versus down by your ankles.
