Great place in west Eugene. Friendly staff. Good food. Lots of beers on tap, even a nitro tap. Highly recommended.

Wow. Really all I can say. After checking out the menu on the website and reading other Unilocal reviews, I was genuinely excited to head here for the game. Won’t be making that mistake again. After arriving an hour early, we sat ourselves in a booth and were promptly greeted by a server, who threw menus on the table and left just as swiftly as she arrived. Ok, I figured, people are showing up and she’s just getting her bases covered. Sadly, our first interaction with our server was the standard for the rest of the evening. She visited once to take our order, and then again to deliver drinks. That was about it. If it wasn’t for the quality of the food, this place would receive one star. It wasn’t amazing by any means, but good for a bar for sure, a fair price as well. Hopefully this place can make some strides and be better prepared for game day in the future, as the name implies. Unless I see some large changes, I won’t be returning.

I have never experienced credit card fraud before. And this is purely circumstantial. But 3 days after allowing Game Day to «hold my card» throughout the Oregon Ducks football game, I had fraudulent charges to my credit card. I rarely let someone take my credit card out of my sight, and I cannot remember ever allowing someone to hold my card in this manner. It seems to me to be a very bad(risky) business practice… and sadly, I won’t return to Game Day, even though I have enjoyed several Ducks games here in the past. My Recommendation: Never Allow Anyone to «Hold Your Credit Card»!

So I stopped by recently on a Sunday evening. The food was good and comes from the restaurant inside Putters. I had the Calzone which was packed full of scrumptious goodness. The inside was clean & inviting although a bit understaffed. TV’s galore & lots of great seating. I’d definitely come back to watch a game & have a cold pint. The downside is the exterior. It looks like an old tavern(although much cleaner) that you’d see in a shady part of town. Go inside though & you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I really keep trying to like this place. Really. They have great Calzone, it’s typically clean, food is pretty good, lots of TVs for the game, and if it’s not crowded the service is acceptable. The problem is when it IS crowded. We went to the Oregon-WSU game, it was pretty full. And the service was awful. Full bar during an evening game, and they decide their game time strategy is to staff one server on the floor, and 2 bartenders behind the bar. The one server was responsible for I’m gonna guess 30 – 40 tabs? He just simply couldn’t keep up! And in the meantime, one of the bartenders was slipping off the eat her dinner off to the side. The TVs crashed twice, plus they started out on the wrong channel for the first 10 minutes of the game. When we cashed out, we asked our server if he keeps the tip or was it shared. He told us they share the tips. Nice for him, he busts his butt for 4 hours and gets to split it with the two gals behind the bar eating and texting. Other than that it was perfect.

Great selection of beers on tap. Bartenders are on top of it whatever you need. Lots of TV’s for watching the game. I really love the calazone! They stuff it with 4 items of your choice and a fresh salad for $ 8.95. I usually walk out with a box because the calazone is so big! Check out Game Day… they won’t disappoint!

Game Day has came a long way! It went from being dark and unappealing, to lit up and rather attractive. The remodel they did was a major improvement, took it from an everyday bar to a nice sports bar. Large flat screens hang all over the place, and they also have booths with a personal TV. Service has been great both times we’ve went, and they have a decent selection on tap. Most importantly, they have Boneyard IPA. A true love of mine! Happy Hour runs daily from 3 – 7, and I think they knock off .50 on the taps. A friend and I were here on Friday, for grub we decided to share the BBQ Chicken nachos. Thank goodness we did share, because the amount of food that came of was HUUUUGE, i’m talking a platter of… wait wait wait, i’m talking a trey… nope, wait wait wait, i’m talking a sheet of plywood full of nachos! Ok… not that much, but you get the picture… and they were good too… I was confused… I don’t normally care for nachos from the bar, but these worked very well. My only complaint about this place is that it’s $ 1 for a game of pool! I know I brought that up in my original review of this place, but realy…$ 1 for a game of pool is ridiculous. I could consider this a new regular spot to hang out if the pool wasn’t $ 1 a game. With how much pool my wife and I shoot, that would be an easy extra $ 15 a night. Game Day is headed in the right direction, I like what they’re doing with this place. I have a feeling we’ll be back sooner than later.

It was the Boise State vs Arizona State bowl game, so my girlfriend and buddy deiced we wanted to find somewhere different to watch it. I had seen a few TV ads for this placed and thought it might be cool. I wasn’t disappointed by the number or size of TVs in this place… brought a smile to my face. The food was pretty standard bar food, I had some mozzarella sticks and some nachos, both were on par. They had Total Domination on tap so I couldn’t complain about their beer selection. The only complain I really have is about the management of this place. Boise State was a top ten team and they only staffed on bartender that night. She did the best she could but she easily had 20 people to serve. You would think that if the owners knew anything about college football they could have guessed a top 10 school one state away would bring a decent crowd. The management needs to step it up.

Loving the place after the remodel a few months ago, lots of room, big TVs, and games. 2 most important things are covered for a sports bar, lots of big TVs and good food. Do wish that they would serve longer, that would get us coming back more but still a fav. Totally recommend the mini pizza with 4 toppings for only $ 5.

This turned out to be a great bar for watching a Tuesday night WNBA game. The screens are large –our server was very accommodating and efficient. However, we almost missed out on this place because we saw the poor reviews it received from this site. Our first choice(based on positive rating here at Unilocal) turned out to be less than accommodating. We remembered that Game Day was in the same area, so we took a chance and watched the game there. I have no idea what it would be like on a weekend, but for game viewing and for a great dinner, Tuesday night worked really well for us. We will return again soon. I would advice anyone looking for a good sports bar with large screens and comfortable seating to rise above the reviews and try Game Day. We were happy we did.

Lots of big screens and I mean BIG screens for watching sports. My hubby and I used to go once a week because we enjoyed nomming the good Putter’s pizza. But they changed bartender’s from an attentive guy named Mike to a flaky girl who just can’t stay on top of things i.e. dirty tables, my beer glass is empty *ahem* and can I get a pepper shaker [for the third time]? We don’t go anymore. It’s all about the service people!
