I’m going to gush and say, best salon experience ever! After moving to Eugene I was experiencing such extreme anxiety over needing to find a new stylist (after 12 years with the same wonderful hairdresser in the south of France) that I chose to chop several inches off my own hair rather than try someone new. What a disaster, but it still took another 3 months before I was ready to face reality and begin digging through Unilocal reviews. I ended up making an appointment with Abby and am just so grateful to all the reviewers here for leading me to her. What a delight. She is warm and genuine, massively talented, and she gave me my best cut ever.

Other than sing Abby’s praise to the heavens; my incredible Abby experience isn’t very different from the other clients that love her. My hair was a mess and now it’s beautiful; I promise, in all my years, I have never met another stylist as talented as she. She is funny, warm and real and like I said just INCREDIBLY talented.

Abby is not only the best colorist I’ve had in ten years, she is hilarious and thoughtful. I bounced around from colorist to colorist, never happy with what I got. Finally got back in touch with her from long ago after I’d moved away and moved back. She’s now my colorist and therapist and will be forever. See Abby you will thank yourself for it.

Abby is a miracle worker! I was in Eugene on business from NYC for a month and was in desperate need of a haircut. Pretty sure I was the definition of a stylists’ nightmare – I had shaved the side of my head a couple months before and it was growing out. I was a brand new client and I wanted a drastically shorter cut. Abby did not trip! She took her time, asked questions and looked at pictures to understand exactly what I was thinking. She gave me the CUTEST little A-​line which completely camouflaged my half-​grown-​out undercut. She even took the time to teach me how to style it with a round brush. 4 months later, I haven’t cut my hair once (except to trim my bangs) and I’m STILL getting compliments on my hair– Sometimes from complete strangers! I live in New York, so you’d think I could find a stylist as good or even better than Abby, but I honestly can’t. I’m waiting until my next trip out to Oregon (next month) so she can cut my hair again. Abby is THE best!

Let me just say that I cannot thank Abby enough for what she did to help my Mom. My poor Ma who lives in Eugene was feeling down over some health issues (radiation/​surgery for a brain tumor) and went to Great Clips for a trim. The trim ended up being the haircut from Hell! It was choppy and had missing clumps on the sides. Needless to say, my mom was horrified and when I got wind of this mess (she had been crying for DAYS), I had to find someone to help. You must know that my Mom would never spend any money on herself and was planning to go on through the winter wearing a hoodie every day, but I just could not let that happen.
After searching online and weeding through numerous reviews, I determined that Abby had the skills and compassion necessary to fix this disaster. I emailed Abby and got a call back right away. My plan was to purchase a gift card over the phone (I live in California) that would cover the services that Mom would need, and then surprise her with the gift. Abby was very sweet and happy to assist Mom with an appointment.
I checked back with Mom after the appointment to see how everything went, and she was so excited that Abby was not only able to fix her haircut, but she even made her look years younger! I’m so happy to hear that Abby went above and beyond to make my mom feel special. Now, these are actually words from my mom …

So all in all, I’m absolutely amazed and thankful that Abby was not only able to fix the haircut, but she helped boost my mom’s confidence and brought her out of the dumps. Mom is no longer crying and everyone in the family has Abby to thank. We are all grateful! THANK YOU ABBY! :)

Abby is one of a kind, to say the very least. I have seen her for years for my hair, then in the past year just didn’t make enough time to get my hair done, minus one extremely regretful trip to a super cuts. Needless to say, my hair was a complete wreck. I called abby and she cleared her day for me. The time, care, and passion she puts into her art is amazing! I could not ask for a better friend or stylist. I always go in not knowing at all what I want, and she takes the time to talk with me and find out what will really work for me. Her skill in cut and color is evidenced by the crazy amount of compliments I always get. Not only that, but she will check in with you a week or so after to see that you’re happy and to ask if you need any extra tips with styling etc. I always trust her knowledge with products, and she stays very current in trends. You will never find a stylist who puts as much love, energy, and talent into what she does. Truly can’t recommend enough!

She not only cut my hair better than my last stylist but she created an environment for self health and encouraged me to try new ways to style my hair. She also knew some techniques that were healthier for my hair and instead of taking the short route she went the long way and made sure I left happy. I really enjoyed getting my hair cut by her and will most definitely come back.

I had been going to the same hair stylist for 13 years and so it was extremely frightening to try someone new. Went to Abby and she was FABULOUS! She did not rush and I appreciate her attention to detail. She was pleasant and her positive energy was contagious. I have found my new hair stylist!

Saw Abby on a whim because she had great reviews on Unilocal.She gave me an amazing haircut and I got SO many compliments on it the next day! She did an amazing job blending my layers, which I am usually scared to get. Also, a joy to talk to!

Abby did a beautiful job on my hair, to say I’m picky is an understatement. She totally blew me away. Did exactly what I wanted with the cut and highlight. This was my first time going to Abby at Mindy’s Total Hair Care Salon and I was gratefully pleased and absolutely satisfied with my overall excellent experience.
I agonized over the decision of who to go to in Eugene for a (graduated bob) haircut… I have had this type of haircut done well but only at top salons in San Francisco. I felt like I wanted to find someone who is skilled and very professionally polished.

Both of the stylists that work at Mindy’s Total Hair Care Salon, Mindy and Abby, were super down-​to earth, cool and easy to talk to. As a team, they clearly strive to make it a great environment for their clients to come to.
Abby, my stylist, was really… remarkably wonderful. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a beautiful and amazing haircut. It was just exactly the modern, stylish and posh look I envisioned. I absolutely love it… from the time I left the salon and I’m still loving it now… several weeks later. People around town regularly ask me who does my hair because it looks impressively professional and über fabulous.

Best hair ever! I’ve been to quite a few salons and so far Abby is by far the best. My color and cut look amazing and I’ve received so many compliments from strangers on it. She really cares about her clients and makes sure you are happy with the results. Definitely not like any other hair dresser! When getting your hair done with Abby, she makes you feel like your family and makes for a fun warm environment. I would suggest her to everyone I know! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Have had so much trouble finding a stylist in Eugene. Found Abby on Unilocal and decided to give her a try. I have very fine hair — difficult to find a flattering hairstyle or color without damaging. Abby did an amazing job on both! Gorgeous blond highlights, plenty of styling and product tips, and just an overall enjoyable experience. I will definitely go back!

Abby rocks! She is a hair magician and knows how to use those scissors to make magic. I moved to Eugene in January 2011 and needed a good hair stylist. I happened to notice a girl in my gym class with a great bob — clean lines and stacked to perfection. She told me she went to Abby and I made an appointment. I’ve been faithfully going to Abby ever since. She is talented. Picasso used a paint brush — well, Abby uses the scissors. I love her passion, her enthusiasm and her relentless desire to learn new trends!

Abby is a wonderful stylist. She’s done my color and cuts for about a year and a half & it’s always looked awesome. It grows out so nicely.

Can’t say enough about how great this girl is when it comes to your hair! I have been going to her for almost 3 years now, and despite moving to Portland, I still drive back to Eugene for my hair appointments! I have been to so many hair stylists in my life, and no one could get it right until I came to Abby. First, the color job she does is amazing. I have natural blonde hair that already looks highlighted, but I wanted to lighten it up and bring out some of the color that is already there. Abby met this challenge with no issues whatsoever. I have received so many compliments on my hair from complete strangers to other hair stylists. And even when it grows out, my roots aren’t super obvious, so I can easily stretch my time between appointments, which is great since I don’t live nearby. Second, she always listens to what I want to do. I have super thick hair and most hair stylists don’t want to thin it out. Abby takes the weight off, and doesn’t give me a bad time about doing it! If I ask for advice on what to do with my hair, she will definitely make suggestions, but she never tries to push anything on me. She takes her time and is so thorough. I never feel rushed to get out the door. Finally, Abby has a flexible schedule, and is always able to get me in with just a quick text. I love her personality, energy, and warmth. She’s a wonderful person and just being around her makes you feel beautiful! Don’t even think twice about going to anyone else but Abby!

I discovered Abby at least 5 years ago (maybe longer), and the rest is history! She is amazingly talented, fun, knowledgeable, and she LISTENS! This is quite rare in stylists in my experience. She doesn’t do hair the way she would like it, she does it the way YOU WANT IT! She will offer advice if you ask, but it is up to you if you want to accept it. Abby also doesn’t try to talk you into anything you don’t want or need. She goes the extra mile until you are happy, no matter how long it takes! Not only that, she has become an amazing friend, confidante and shoulder to lean on! There is no other way to say it… I love her with all my heart and will never allow anyone to touch my hair but Abby! :-)

I have been going to Abby for a little over a year now and I always have the most fun every time I go! I so appreciate how flexible she is as she’s always able to fit me the following week (I am a MAJOR procrastinator with making my appointments). This can only be attributed to how hard of a worker she is and how much she truly cares about her clients! I can’t wait to see her after my wedding this fall so we can play a little, there’s no one else I’d trust to try something new with!

Abby Weinstein at Blu Clark salon is an absolutely amazing hair stylist. She is an expert in color. I have never walked out of the salon feeling dissatisfied with her color or cut. She keeps up on the latest trends and always seems to know what color and style will compliment a person best. I highly recommend giving Abby a try.
