So my fiancé’ and I were up in Portland and we stopped by a fly fishing shop as I am anxious to get my fly on and I like talking to like minded folk. For me I plan on spending my $$$ @ Caddis Fly shop as those gents have been awesome, but I digress. The gents at this one shop told us about a Fly Fishing show going on in Albany which was on our route back home so we decided to make a pit stop and check out the Fly fishing wares. On a side note the guides up in this shop said that to get to the really good fishing, we would need to really get onto a boat. So as we were driving south we talked about the possibility of getting a boat and how it would be fun to get out on the water and get our fishing on. We stopped by the show and there were two varieties of boats — rubber duckies and tanks. The rubber duckies seemed pretty cool and all but being in an inflatable and running some class 3 or class 4 rapids did give me pause. Koffler Boats was also at this show. We asked a few questions and they were really helpful and we told them that we too reside in Eugene. They said to come by the shop to check out their operation. That was Saturday of last week. We stopped by this past Wednesday and Joe of Koffler Boats took my fiancé and I on a tour of the facility and spent the better part of an hour with us shooting the breeze showing us what all could be done to get us onto the river to catch fish. For customer service and friendliness and enormity of operation this place should easily garner 5-stars but when one of the owners says that he will put me in a boat on his time to show me how to row it and that Koffler Boats will also get me acclimated to operating a drift boat — that speaks volumes to why everyone that we have talked to swears by Koffler Boats. They’ve been in the area for a good deal of time and all you have to do is pay attention on the local roadways and you will see their boats everywhere. The other Unilocal-rater gave 1-star. I am sorry that you feel these boats are over-prices but if you compare them to the other offerings in the drift boat market you will realize these are the Ferrari’s of the Drift boat market and the folks at Koffler are not the douchey salesman you get at a Ferrari stealership either. I wish others would take the time to submit Unilocal reviews as I could not recommend this company enough. We have decided on a 17′ x 54″ and now we just need to hash out the add-ons/options that we want and/or need as this is a new animal to me. Thanks to Joe and the staff at Koffler Boats for the kick-ass tour. If you Unilocalers are in the market for a drift boat to get your fishing on, please do yourselves a favor and give Koffler your time, you will be thoroughly impressed. ~Andy

They seemed a bit condescending here. Used boat and motor prices pretty high
