Although this one of the smaller Macy’s that I’ve been to, their displays are nicely done and their customer service skills set an example for other retailers. Attentive, personalized service at this store set the bar quite high for other Macy’s to follow!

I would have to say I love the MAC people! 75% of my makeup is MAC! They are really helpful if you are unsure about the product. No pushy sales, and they help the significant other Christmas shop for cool gift sets! One year I got brushes, another year mascara and other makeup sets. I will have to say the MAC brushes are some of my favorite makeup brushes and I notice a huge difference when applying my makeup. I hope this is helpful for some of you guys out there not knowing what to get your ladies that love their MAC and might want a stocking stuffer, or just a present idea. ;-)

It is recommended that you book an appointment for any full makeup you want done. Wether it be going out, a theatrical look, or wanting to improve your skills and get a lesson from one of the artists, an appointment is your best bet. They are in 3 different time lengths, 3060 or 90 minutes, and you simply are obligated to spend $ 30, $ 60, or $ 90 dollars during your appointment. Otherwise, with a walk up, they cannot guarantee how long it will take, or when they will be able to start, as they will need to help other customers during your walk up application.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try false eyelashes. After wandering in the mall we found some at the Macy’s Mac counter. The girls were awesome! They helped us pick out the lashes we wanted and then to put them on. They were patient and kind even with a busy store. My girl was Daniella, she had a soft gentle touch. And most importantly they stayed on! We felt very glamorous haha. After all these years I finally know where to get makeup.

This location is by far the worst I’ve encountered. From the moment I walked in I was not greeted, only looked up and down. It wasn’t until I made eye contact that one employee said«be with you in a minute,» in an almost sarcastic tone. I came in to buy Studio Fix foundation, my usual Peach powder blush, and a different concealer. I first asked for a sample of a darker foundation as summer is approaching and I will be needing to change my color. The employee however said«we’re out of sample jars.» So I asked when they would get more in and she replied«I don’t know.» Sensing her inadvertent attitude, I decided I would find a good concealer, get my two usual products, and get out of her hair. I asked if she could color match me for a concealer and she handed me a brush, pointing toward the liquid concealer. Around the same time an older woman walked in, and the Mac employee turned to me saying, «Let me know if you need anything else,» proceeding to walk away and greet /help the other woman. Feeling like an inconvenience, I waited for the Mac employee to finish with the other customer so I could check out with my two usual products, returning another day for a concealer. I waited for the Mac employee to finish helping the potential customer, in which she took more time than she did with me. After a few minutes another employee comes out, I attempt to make eye contact with her, and she asks«Are you being helped.» I reply«I’m ready to check out, I’ll take a full coverage Studio Fix NC44 and a Sheer Tone blush in ‘Peaches’.» She checks me out and I leave. It just so happens the other woman being helped was just browsing and did not make a purchase, so we left about the same time. I left feeling embarrassed and I am not sure why. The second employee was more pleasant to me but the service from the first was so daunting, it overpowered any good experience I could of had. I still shop at this Mac because it’s the only Mac I know in town, not to mention ‘Make-Up Art Cosmetics’ are amazing and super affordable. I do suspect that my race(Biracial: Native American/African American) may have played into the service I received, but of course I can’t be certain. However, I now give my friend Emily(White) the money when she goes to Mac, and she gets my products, saying nothing but good things about the customer service she receives there. All in all I avoid this location, I don’t need that kind of treatment. I have about 3 other stories similar to this one at this location, but this was the most recent. Two thumbs down!

Really great customer service. I love MAC products to begin with, and the ladies working there are always friendly and informative without being pushy. Last time I went I had to exchange an eye liner that I had tried for a different formula, and they were so polite and easygoing about it. I’ve had experiences at other cosmetics counters where I’ve had to exchange or return something that didn’t work out and they made me feel like crap about it, but not here!

I absolutly love these girls!!! I’m not a huge make-up girl but they always give good advice and make me feel welcome.(I felt a little intimated at Sephor in Penny’s last time I went in for make-up, but I love the Sephor’s in Seattle though) Anywho, I ended up getting lots of great products including my new favorite piece of make-up. It’s the limited edition Wonder Women bronzer/blush/highlighter. It was only $ 33. After going to Sephor that seemed like a good price. I use it everyday and it looks wonderful. Not too much but just enough. I highly recommend checking these girls out, don’t be intimidated just ask questions and I’m sure they will treat you well and give you as great of service as I’ve received each time I’ve gone in. Thanks MAC girls…
