I’m certain the 5 star reviews are from employees. This is the second time I’ve been here. The service is awful — and the wine is worse. We have asked in and were treated at we 6 minutes. Talked into having the white tasting? Don’t do it. Worst I’ve ever tasted. We didn’t even finish our flight, so we never made it to the red. Good luck to you if you partake!

Absolutely hands down some of the best wines I’ve ever tasted. The Syrah/Grenache is to die for, I wanted to take a case home! The staff is amazingly nice, talkative, and knowledgeable about all their wines, even other brands. The winemaker Mark is the sweetest! Sasha waited on us and she was great, friendly, and made the best recommendations. I’ll definitely be back!!!

We found this place just by looking on a map when we got into Eugene. It was a great decision. Tasted some good Pinot Noirs and a great Tempranillo. You should go here if you want to taste wines while in town

Mark taught us a lot about Oregon’s pinot noir! A favorite place of ours to taste wine, or just pop open a bottle. His dry reisling is delicious!

The guy who works the bar is pretty nice. I will forever know him as «blue shirt guy» cuz that was what he was wearing the first time I visited the lab… during a Unilocal event. He is always there it seems. They were on the wine walk circuit and they also have art displayed for first Fridays. I got the artist name of the Danny Devito picture(Mark Rogers) and ordered one posthaste. They have a dart board for funsies and an upstairs area. They only sell Oregon wine. Seems like a cool joint. William Rose Gewurtztraminer was my favorite wine of the wine walk. It’s sweet though.

My husband and I love love love Oregon Wine Lab. It is one of our favorite places in Eugene, and one of the few places in city limits that has tastings. I believe their white flight is $ 10 and the red is $ 12, but it may change based on what it includes. Glasses range from $ 7 to $ 15. They have a great variety of wine from the Willamette and Umpqua valleys, and some from Washington. The last few times I’ve been in, they’ve had four or five different Oregon pinot noirs. They also have a few types of beer and a locally made carbonated cold-pressed coffee. The bar staff are incredibly personable, fun to chat with and far from pretentious(like some wineries can be), but still professional. No snobs behind this counter! Friday nights are great — food, live music, and a great relaxed atmosphere. The Vietnamese food cart that parks outside on Wednesdays and Fridays has the best Banh Mi sandwiches in town. There is also a charming and gregarious little cat who lives next door and will almost certainly come say hi to you if you’re sitting outside. She apparently eats just about anything, but is clean and well-mannered — not annoying or aggressive in the least. She really adds to the ambiance and uniqueness of the place.

We went to Oregon Wine Lab for the first time tonight. It was a great experience. Spire mountain was there show casing their Tempranillo and Pinot Noir. What an incredible treat. I enjoyed meeting the owner Mark.

I scheduled a corporate event here to celebrate the completion of a training program for our sensory team. they easily accommodated our group. We had a very personalized wine tasting with the owner Mark that blew all of us away! The cheese plates vanished and all the wine was gone! Everyone in the group has expressed how much they enjoyed the Oregon Wine Lab. Overall a very lovely experience!

GREAT place to come and taste some local(meaning EUGENE) wines that are being whipped up in small batches by talented wine makers. The service is always top-notch, very informative and prompt. There is always a fabulous food cart parked out front to enjoy a great meal, as well. I like coming here to relax — unpretentious and quaint.

This is a simple space, with a limited selection of wines, but it’s a perfect little example of what it’s trying to be. Incredibly friendly staff guide you through their wine choices. It’s clear that they are picky about what they choose to serve-small, local wineries, many that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Prices aren’t low but are reasonable. When we spent a couple hours there, they had a cheese and salami plate as the only food option-it was very generous and the selections were fantastic(again, locally produced options). I believe they’ve expanded and are now providing some hearty pastries. Recommended!

Oregon Wine LAB is sure to become a fast favorite in Eugene. Having just renovated their spacious bar, lounge, and back room warehouse, Oregon Wine LAB is quite a chic and urban winery and tasting lounge. The ballet studio I work for had the pleasure of hosting our annual gala event in this lovely establishment. Slightly more concealed on the outside, with dark tinted windows, Oregon Wine LAB provides a great escape. The bar is spacious and immaculate. The architecture has clean lines and has modern décor. Ambient colored lighting shimmers above the hand carved wood bar as well as just beneath it, creating a truly ethereal and romantic atmosphere. Black leather couches and chairs line the walls and various smaller rooms are built into the main room walls, accommodating guests who value their privacy. An upstairs room overlooking the downstairs is available, complete with a plasma TV and a surround sound system, creating a perfectly hip environment to kick back with friends or a date. A definitely more youthful wine bar, owner Mark, has certainly put his heart and soul into creating quite an alluring wine lounge featuring his own William Rose Wines as well as other local artisan brands. The Prohibition Rose and Syrah are simply yummy, definitely be sure to try a glass or two and try not to get too carried away, it certainly is difficult! The staff are beyond amazing, so full of life and clearly passionate about what they do. They all are extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgable regarding their selection of wines. You’ll be sure to have a wonderful time. I highly recommend coming here with a group of friends to ensure a smashing night out! Keep in mind that parking can be a bit tricky, so be prepared to walk a few blocks, especially if you are attending one of their events. Super cute and super fun, what more could you ask for?

A welcome addition to the area, located between downtown and the Whit neighborhood. Friendly staff pouring refreshing wines of local production.

This place is close to wonderful. Had the chance to sit sit down with Mark for an hour this afternoon(or Maahk as he would say — he can’t help he’s Australian). And he’s a lovely guy. We talked about everything. How do sugar levels impact final alcohol content? Why is the wino term ‘terroir’ bullshit? He told me about proposing to his wife on Hobbit Trail at Haceta Head, and I shared that I’d proposed to my husband in the surf of Yachats bay on New Year’s Eve, 1999. He’s created a space, and it’s great and getting there. Little rooms here and there, smart black leather couches, an actual turntable playing the likes of Moby, Fleetwood Mac and a lot of Clapton. Very cool. The bar is constructed from straps of old wine barrels, and it’s handsome. I tried the wines, and they are tasty. He’s made this tasting room to showcase his own William Rose Wines and provide a place where smaller winemakers can get their wines in front of people. 2012 Prohibition Rose: almost dry and delicious, great for meat, fish and veg. 2008 Barbera/Syrah: sophisticated and delicious. This is the first wine Mark made, and I suggest your try it. 2009 Shadow Mountain Pinot Noir: I’d say voluptuous. Sorry to sound like a wine shithead, swear I’m not. And then he let me try an as-yet unlabeled Gewürztraminer. Pretty sweet and fruity, my husband will love this. In short: great space, great vibe, great wines. Welcome to the neighborhood.
