Sweet Tree Cafe & Espresso

This place has a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and the workers are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing! I had the tuna salad and it was so good and fresh and their ranch dressing is really good as well. I will be back to try more food and their coffee for sure. I just wish they were open for dinner and on weekends ：）

The ladies behind the counter are always helpful with suggestions and give great service. The man that served our table was clean cut and prompt. Simple food made better because of atmosphere, and service. Thanks you made our day.

I was very disappointed with my sandwich. I ordered the California BLT which StrayKat used to do really well. So not worth $ 7.50! Avocado? Where? There was the tiniest smear in the middle of the bread and that was it. Barely any turkey, one little ol lone piece of bacon, one tomato smack in the middle instead of a couple to fill the whole sandwich and a small piece of lettuce. I also made the mistake of getting the bagel chips thinking «oh, that would be nice change from regular chips!». Well… maybe they would have been if they were fresh. They were so stale I couldn’t even bite into them! I’m sorry but I will never be going back to Sweet Tree. Staff was nice, the place is clean and décor is cool. Only reason I gave them a couple stars. Sorry guys… you need to learn how to make food.

I can’t explain how much I love going to sweet tree café and espresso! The menu has such a variety, that I find myself going back at least 3 times a week for lunch. By far my favorite homemade soup and quiche in town!!! Also, the fact that the staff are so friendly and helpful keeps me wanting to go back. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, or even just a pastry to go, like I said before sweet tree café is my go to lunch spot!

A fast breakfast stop with delicious bagel sandwiches, fresh pastries and frothy americanos! The large variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and quiche make lunch at this café perfect for the whole family! I recommend the Asian chicken salad and the California BLT!
Everything always comes with a side of chips or other crunchy delights!

There were no knives dirtied in the making of my lunch. I ordered the ham and spinach quiche and house salad with bread. Bread was production rye, straight off the shelf at Fred Meyer or similar. Quiche was re heated from frozen production, evidenced by the stamped out crust and deli style ham. Not totally certain of the eggs were egg beaters or not, but I suspect due to the texture. The salad was bag greens, with shredded carrots, a slice of tomato and a slice of red onion added. For $ 7.75. I would have expected this quality from a cafeteria. But not a café. They really need to up their culinary game. Sorry guys.
I didn’t rate the Sweet Tree only 1 star because the service was good and it is a cute little coffee shop. Something we don’t have enough of in Eugene. I will give it another try and get coffee then report back.

Stray Kat was an awesome restaurant, so I assumed that when it became Sweet Tree Café it would have the same quality. Wrong. I paid $ 7.75 for a luke warm tuna melt that I could have made for $ 1. My friend felt the same about her meal. The menu is smaller, so are the servings, and so is the quality. We were very disappointed, and won’t be going out of our way again. It was clean, staff was polite, so we did appreciate that.

This place is one of my favorite. All crews are so kind and friendly. Even its pastries and sandwiches taste so good. I like cranberry turkey sandwich and cornflake cookies.

My wife and I made a visit to Sweet Tree and we’re very pleased with the food, the drinks, and the service. We like breakfast but didn’t make it in time for their 11 o clock cut off. We showed up around 2 a my wife mentioned to the girl that she likes breakfast sandwiches and then girl immediately went and asked if it was okay to make one. The kitchen staff gladly approved to make one. Jumping on the breakfast train, I ordered a breakfast burrito. We also got a vanilla latte and a mocha. Both sandwich and burrito were hearty and delicious. And both drinks were also excellent. Taking a look at some other option (including the turkey cranberry sandwich) we are looking forward to going back!

I think I hit an off day on my first visit, service has certainly warmed up. A huge fan of the few updates to the place but they kept the Nutty Kat Mocha, that’s what keeps me going back for sure!
