I love Yogi tea’s accessibility(in grocery stores nationwide), price point, feel-good tea names, herbal blends, hippy dippy philosophies, and attention to quality. All the teas taste fresh and balanced, and leave me feeling invigorated yet restful, and always relieved of stress. If I find myself coming upon an itchy throat, headache or irritable mood, popping a Yogi tea bag into a mug of hot water makes me feel all adult-like– as though I’m taking care of myself, and for less than 15 cents a pop, at that. :) I’m currently enjoying a spicy, thirst-quenching, warmth-spreading lemon ginger tea, and fondly recalling evenings spent with mugs of: Egyptian licorice, chai rooibos, Indian spice, kava ‘stress relief’, sarsaparilla, honey lemon, echinacea, and chamomile tea. All Yogi teas are great as they are, and often better with a spoonful of honey. As an aside, dumpster divers beware! Yogi Tea is even protective of its discarded products. I had a seasoned dumpster diving veteran-friend get chased off premises(pocketfuls of kava tea hindering a faster getaway) by a handful of very angry Sikhs. As he put it, «I’ve never scaled a barbed wire fence faster in my life. They promised to do some pretty horrible things to me.» He now gets his Yogi Tea from Food For Lane County instead. Less intrigue and thrill, but the same amount of herbal deliciousness.

I’ve been drinking the Yogi Super Antioxidant tea for about 5 years. It was always a great tasting tea and presumably good for one’s health as well. The last five or so boxes that I’ve purchased have been completely devoid of taste. I’ve let them steep anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes in hopes that the longer steeping would bring out some flavor but nothing. The taste is now that of colored water basically. I e-mailed the company to see if they recently changed the ingredients and received absolutely zero response from the company, very disappointing. I will now, sadly, try to find another brand.

Yogi Tea is one of the best herbal teas on the market. They’re at most health food stores here in the Bay Area(like Whole Foods) and even at Target! They’re a spicy blend of healthful herbs. They’ve even branched out into cereals. Their Cold Season tea is the BEST for clearing one’s asthma(Breathe Easy is second best), with its heady blend of ginger and licorice. Mayan chocolate tea is sweet and spicy. Chamomile is nice and restful. I’m planning to get their kava kava tea, since it’s been more than a decade since I’ve had that(some hippie guy was hawking it at the dorms when I was in college) Yogi Teas come with nice little meditative phrases, yoga poses, and health facts. Delicious and nutritious!

Breaking point When does one break? What’s your limit? As humans we all shut down Breaking point Exhaustion takes over my body Unable to move Lying in my bed Staring blankly into space I shut down Breaking point I become broken How long to be shattered? Cannot think At the end of the day At the end of the week Detoxify my body The world defines me Yet I break the world I shut down Breaking point All out of energy Cannot produce results The heart is exhausted Capable but doubtful Disappointed Cannot hark back Hopeful but discouraged My fuel is depleted All out of resources I shut down Breaking point Yet I trek on Embrace the Power of One Continue to persist to succeed Yogi Tea just does not conjure the same liveliness as Midori Trading Inc.‘s Relaxing Time and Green Tea Chamomile enable me to trek onwards, thus three stars.

This is the very best tea brand I have ever tried. I can’t rave enough to explain how good it is. I’ve tried so many of their flavors. My favorites are the green tea kombucha and the cold season sampler pack. All of their teas have so much flavor(unlike other competitors that taste so watery). And I adore the cute little«fortunes» on the tags on each tea bag. Their website is fun and their packaging is very cool. I contacted their customer service about one of their teas that I loved and found out it had been discontinued but they actually gave me information on another brand that had a similar product.

Over the years I have consumed way too much coffee on a daily basis, probably two or three cups a day. In an attempt to decrease coffee consumption, for which I have decided to totally abstain for at least a few weeks, Yogi herbal(and caffeine free) tea has become its substitute. In fact, I have been drinking Yogi tea at least twice daily(sometimes more). I particularly like the DeTox tea, which consists of nearly 20 different ingredients, including ginger root, juniper berry, dandelion root, burdock root, and sarsaparilla root. This tea is supposed to promote healthy liver and kidney function, which coffee doesn’t do for sure. Nothing does the body good than a healthy daily dose of purification to rid itself of impurities. Now that’s my cup of tea!

I love Yogi Tea and get it in Chicagoland from Merz Apothecary, Whole Foods and even some traditional grocery stores. My favorite is the Green Tea Kombucha for immune strength during the long winter months. It’s got a nice plum taste to it and it’s fun to say«kom-boo-chaw»! Another I’ve tried recently that has a Licorice taste to it is Ginko IQ. What was I saying? Where did I put my keys? Yes, I need ginko! And this is a tasty way to get it everyday. There’s a Yogi Tea for almost every health aspect, and Merz Apothecary and Whole Foods seem to offer almost every one. You can also order direct from their website. A free sample is available there as well. They are a bit pricier than regular teas, but not as expensive as other high-end teas. Let your inner yogi shine and get healthy!

You had me at «Let your goodness blossom with a cup of ours.» Ok. Actually, that kinda scared me, and it definitely invoked images that I would not like to discuss on the internet. But now, as I sip on your, um, goodness, I can assuredly say that I’m hooked, and waiting to blossom some goodness of my own. Jokes aside, Yogi Tea is amazing. It is by far the most flavorful tea I have ever seeped, and regardless of the mind over matter debate, the«Stress Relief» and«Calming» teas work like a charm. I love the website too — all sorts of great information about neutralizing free radicals and detoxifying foods and exercises. In fact, I spend more time reading about each tea than I do drinking it! Basically, I’m hooked and I can’t stop seeping.
