HKH Taqueria

First of all, there is no pull down menu option for El Salvadorean /​Mexican — and salvadorean is my favorite part of their menu! You’ll eat yourself to a new BMI level with the gorditas and pupusas. The chiccaron tacos beg for an unbuckled waistline. I lived in El Sal for a bit and the food here is as good as the best food there. We hit this place up about once a week, and will continue to do so until the end of the next Mayan calendar. Its owned and run by a young couple who are always friendly enough to listen to my broken spanish!
This would be 5 stars except its cash only. There is an ATM in the back if you forget though. Also note that it is nestled inside a convenience store and is pick up only. Be sure and pick up some scratch tickets! Look for HKH Mart on 157 (Industrial) as the taqueria doesn’t have full signage.
Check it out — the food is super cheap so leave a good tip. I’d love to see this become a full restaurant one day!
