Brunch was fantastic even after a 15 minute wait for seating. Everything was fantastic including service. Unfortunate limited seating. Delicious, wonderful flavor, good selection, quality and even attractive food. Wish they had just a few more dessert option but at least the cookie are fantastic. For outside of Vegas, this is an impressive 5 star small buffet. Price a little steep.

A cool little hidden gem inside a chain-hotel. We took a tour of Eureka Springs, and our tour guide Ralph suggested of all the food places in town that Myrtie Mae’s was the most consistent and best food in town. So we had to give it a try. The GPS said to turn, but all we saw was a Best Western hotel. We thought that maybe it was behind the hotel, but finally we realized it was inside, it was the hotel restaurant. My wife and I were rather skeptical but pressed on. We got the lunch buffet, and man the food was great! They had some roast beef that they hand sliced that was cooked perfectly and seasoned great. Mashed potatoes, rice, fish, everything on the buffet was great. Salad bar was good and fresh as well. We were very surprised at the quality of food from the buffet. Only room for improvement I could see was that the staff were either a little overworked or they were a bit unfriendly & unhelpful at times. The hostess seemed annoyed at my request to put my tip on my credit card, and my wife felt that the waitress didn’t have a good tone with her. But both very little things that didn’t diminish the whole experience. Thanks Ralph! I don’t think we would have ever ventured into a random hotel restaurant for some good food without your suggestion…

Excellent food and good service. A little more for the older crowd. Nice salad and soup bar. Atmosphere was typical of a restaurant at a Best Western motel.

Brunch buffet? Yes. Everything else? Not as much Been here for the breakfast/brunch buffet and thought it was pretty good. It’s a higher than average quality for buffet food as its small and controllable. Even had an omelette chef. So try that if you can. Made the trip for lunch only to find the tiny buffet replaced w menus that were just ok. Food was good and reasonable, everyone very nice — just not great. Kind of ate the whole meal w a «whatever» mindset. There are plenty of other local places that have better food, choices and atmosphere. I’d try those instead.

The salad bar has good variety and is fresh as well as plentiful. Broccoli cheddar soup was extremely thick and if you find a chunk of broccoli and bite in to it its bitter. Mushroom beef soup had lots of beef, onions and mushrooms but the flavor was not to my liking. The menu we were presented with at 3:00 pm had a variety of sandwiches, burgers and fries foods. Staff was courteous and attentive. Unlimited soup and salad for $ 6.95 is a fair price for what is offered.

Food was not great not bad. Are there twice in two days. Both days they messed up the order. The first day we ordered the catfish and it was greasy. Well seasoned and I thought it was ok but not great. My companion thought it was terrible. It came with a scoop of mashed potatoes. They forgot the hush puppies. $ 13 for two fillets and a scoop of potatoes. The next morning we ordered breakfast. They just butchered the order. I had to walk to pick it up and then had to walk back again to get the rest of the order. They didn’t make a new order, just supplied all of the missing items. By then the original order was cold. It was clearly the kitchen messing up. The ticket was correct. What was provided was not. The food was OK and probably would have been better had they remade it so I could have had a hot meal. Bad service really irks me and you can’t get much worse than messing up the order. Twice.

Review pretty much sums it up. It was OK. Not good, not great. Not sure if it was an off night or what, but I was wholly unsatisfied. The meal filled a hole after being on the road, and that’s as good as it got. Wouldn’t go back based on the first trip.

This restaurant was actually one of the grossest, unclean places I have ever eaten. Not only was our silverware unwashed, there was a fly in my salad on a cucumber piece, and a huge spider in the gift shop area of the restaurant. They’re lucky that I am from the country or I would have probably just left and threw my salad on someone, but I just dealt with it. I removed half my salad, put new salad in place, and got new soup as when I returned, there was a fly in my soup. My grilled cheese was fine at least, and my server was nice. Unsure how this place got such a lauded reputation, as the salad was mostly wilted and most of the things on the salad bar looked ancient and almost moldy…

Hard to find, not well marked It was suggested we eat at Myrtle Mae’s by the front desk man at Land Of Nod Inn. I’m glad he suggested it. I really enjoyed it. I ordered a patty melt and friend green beans, with a dessert to go. The food was really good. I enjoyed the sandwich, and the service was top notch. Fried green beans are a treat when I can get them. I think they are more southern oriented, so when I see them on a menu, I order them. I saved these for the next day’s lunch. They microwaved well. I have no complaints, and loved the happy server with the southern accent. he was so nice. The only problem I could see was I had a hard time finding it. I knew it was in the hotel, but where the heck was it? I couldn’t see a well marked sign, only an arrow pointing down a parking lot. They can do better marking it. I drove around and around the hotel parking lot until I figured out that it is on the north end. Cute place, and a classic in Eureka Springs.

We ate breakfast here every morning while staying at the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Very good prices. Large portions. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. The only compliant was from just one morning… the hashbrowns had so much butter on them. It literally was a puddle in the plate. All other visits were on spot. Will return next year.

We come here every time we go to Eureka and have since the ‘90s. Seems to be for an older crowd, but the salad bar is amazing as well as their muffins. We’ve always had nice and accommodating waitstaff. I say it’s a solid American food choice amongst all the restaurants there.

This place reminds me of a buffet my grandmother would go to. The portions are pretty big and the price is just right. I usually eat here to partake in the all you can eat salad bar. The salad bar is on point with different pasta salads, pimento cheese, muffins, soups, and various types of lettuce. My next visit will be for a Sunday brunch, though every time I’ve tried the line was out the door. Give this place a shot, your grandma would approve.

Serving of yogurt was teeny tiny and cost $ 2.25. Server only stopped once to fill my coffee. We eat out a lot and know a good or bad restaurant easily. This is almost good but not. Can’t recommend this place.

This place is cheap. Like, really cheap. It’s also not very good. Honestly, it’s the kind of place old people go to because they can’t taste food so well any more, don’t want to cook, and are loathe to spend much on dining. Everyone’s friendly, the service is efficient, and it has family restaurant charm. It’s also just terribly out of date. Salad bar. Everything was fresh. Iceburg, but fresh. Many options, including a bar of 70s-style potluck mayo salads. I tried some of those and liked none. Fried chicken: Decent for a family restaurant, but not impressive for a signature item. Too salty. BLT: So many chips. Too bad the bacon looked and tasted like salad bar bacon bits, only not ground up. Fiercely salty, like the soylent green of bacon. Otherwise, sandwich okay. Coffee: Standard grade. Standard blend. Not burnt and it tasted like coffee.

Been here twice for dinner. I like this place. Large clean dining room and friendly staff. The salad bar is huge. Lots of selections and all good. But, for the second time, I was so full I didn’t try the possum pie. Third times a charm. I recommend this place.

I felt the need to register with Unilocal to right the disservice given to this restaurant by the one star review. We go here for breakfast every time we come to Eureka. The«All-American» is delicious traditional breakfast and very reasonably priced. I can’t speak to their other meals, but this is a great place for breakfast.

Handy if you’re staying in the hotel, but probably worth a short drive somewhere else… — When seating I asked for one of the tables near the window with a view of the woods. The hostess said she had just seated some in that waitresses section so she would give me a table with a view of the parking lot. So it’s the needs of the staff not the needs, or desire, of the customer??? — Reasonable prices —(Just) OK food — Warm and muggy inside — Flies… — Slow service Again, there are better places in town that are worth a short drive…

A charming little restaurant that offers a very nice buffet of fresh and tasty food. I must admit I am not a buffet fan usually but Myrtie Mae’s buffet is definitely an exception. Have eaten here twice now with my husband and in-laws. We had a lovely little dinner here one night and today a wonderful Sunday brunch. The Sunday brunch is very impressive! You have a choice of sliced ham, roast beef and pork loin… sliced right in front of you. All the extras you can think up such as bacon, french toast, sausages, beans, sweet potato mash with maple syrup, garlic and cheese grits and the list goes on. There is also dessert after that if you can fit it in such as German Chocolate Cake, Banana Cream Pie, Double Chocolate Cookies, Fresh Fruit, Muffins etc… The staff are also wonderful, quick to refill your coffee and clear your plates. My parents in law also recommend the accommodations here(Best Western) as they stayed here for an extended time with their pet Macaw while building their home. The manager still remembers them when they come in to eat(11 years later) and asks after their bird. A wonderful little spot that I am sure won’t disappoint.
