A good little hike, but the curiosity is what brought us in and we were a little bummed at what we got. $ 4.50 is not too shabby compared to everything else around eureka springs. Would have loved to have more history about the formations! We really enjoyed our walk around the grounds though. About 1 mile, good for kids.

This was intriguing by the signs but not worth the time or money! If you do go there, there is an upper trail which you walk back on from the attraction(or lack of it) and it is much easier if you have any health limitations. They did not say this at the store where you pay and it is not posted. There were two older people having a very hard time doing the steps and could have just taken the higher route if they had known. My suggestion is look at the pictures on line and go do something else!

We were also attracted by the signs, and realized each of us has to pay $ 4.50 just to take a 15 – 20 minutes trail hike, and see 1 pivot stone and 1 stone bridge. You can already see it on Unilocal photo. So, for me to pay $ 4.50 just for this, I really felt being cheated. I prefer just to go hike free in Leatherwood City Park. Ask local people around, they will tell you where. It has beautiful around-lake trail you can hike.

I have to admit — the signs drag you in, and then trick you into paying to see these natural formations. I felt a little cheated, but thought, «hey, why not?» so we paid the admission and started on the trail. It was a nice walk, and the natural formations are good for photo ops. It only takes about 15 – 20 minutes total to walk the trail. I believe there is also a small gift shop at the end.

We saw the signs and curiosity got the best of us so we had to check out Pivot Rock and Natural Bridge. As the sign says, follow the road until it ends. There is no simpler direction than that. You will see a shack which is the gift shop and where you pay an admission fee of $ 4.50 per person to see this natural formation. As you leave the shack and hit the trail, it is a pleasant hike. There are no real steep slopes and hand rails help at certain areas where you may need it. the trail begins to the left where you see the Natural Bridge. You can’t actually walk on it but you get to see it from the top and later from the bottom. As you continue further down the trail you see lots of trees and nice scenery. Luckily for us, there was a lot of running water due to the rains so that added to the experience. Once you get to the Pivot Rock you can’t miss it. It looks like an inverted top and you immediately wonder what is holding it up. Predictably, there is some graffiti on the rock but you can still enjoy this natural formation. The hike would be considered short if you didn’t stop and enjoy the scenery. Sure you can get through it in under 10 minutes but we too our time and enjoyed being the only ones on the trail that day. It was an interesting thing to see once but at $ 4.50 I doubt that I will go back any time soon.
