My son and I go here for breakfast VERY often, often enough that they don’t give us menus anymore. the build your sampler is awesome! the atmosphere is laid back(I mean its dennys) and the waitresses work very hard!

So I just ate at Denny’s it was horrible waited too long for my food where do even longer for my bill which seems odd because the waitress looked like she was on meth her mouth was moving a mile a minute she carries the food on her neck with her hair was in the food. It was horrible

Had breakfast there this morning — horrible experience — no wonder the restaurant was empty at what should have been peak breakfast business — when I walked in the hostess was too busy«ringing something in» to even say hello let alone seat me. No music, just the sound of employees chatting. Hot food was luke warm, bacon was singed to a crisp, total bill was ridiculously expensive. Never again.

This restaurant was awful. We had a ditsy young blond who with an empty restaurant couldn’t remember her orders seconds after taking them. The table behind us she’d forgotten to press enter and had to discount their meal. Ours she didn’t get our drink order for over 10 minutes. The restaurant was almost empty she didn’t bring our drinks for another 15 minutes. We finally got our meal she did not bring a steak knife for my t-bone. Which was so well done it was on the verge of burnt/jerky. She did ask if I wanted steak sauce I told her A-1 but she forgot as she got back to the kitchen. She instead of bringing the sauce she ran over to help run food for with another not busy server. Another 7 minutes roll by and she finally asks the steak by then was Ice cold. I asked about the sauce again. She runs back brings 2 bottles of different sauces because she couldn’t remember which one I wanted. I was very excited that there was a Denny’s near my hotel but after my experience there I’ll just drive and find someplace with competent help.

Denny’s restaurants across the nation can be hit or miss. mostly miss with consideration to the clientele, cleanliness, and proximity to bus-lines /homeless shelters.(Yep, no beating around that bush) However, Denny’s of Eureka… not your typical 24⁄7 diner. First, the restaurant was clean — outside and inside. Outside, the grass was green, well manicured, and no trash/debris in the bushes. Inside, the restaurant was bustling(between heavy rain showers and people exiting Six Flags) with families, couples, and groups of friends. Each staff member we encountered was happy and engaged, including our waitress Julianne. Julianne had several tables, even tables with children, and she was able to maintain balance and calm. Julianne made several different recommendations, and was happy to take substitutions to the«regular» menu items. She also made sure our drinks were always full. My sister and I were able to sit and talk, enjoy«breakfast for dinner», and were not rushed by our waitress to turn the table. Denny’s of Eureka, and our waitress Julianne have restored my impression of Denny’s.

When you walk in there is this horrible smell. It smells damp and musty. We thought it was just going to be at the front but no. It was throughout the entire place. The booth was all sticky. My pants kept sticking to it. The soda had a funny taste. Went to the bathroom and my feet were sticking to the floor. I don’t think we will be going back there. EVER!!!

Normally Denny’s is pretty good. Large menu, pretty decent food for a chain joint and reasonable prices. Not a bad place to stop when you just want a quick bite to eat. Well here’s the problem, the«quick» part they haven’t quite gotten down. My last two visits to this location in the last year have been fairly disappointing. Slow, inattentive service where wait staff bunch up and chat(and complain about the management), drinks go unrefilled and food comes out cold. Our last visit was nearly forty minutes before we got our food and our drinks were only refilled once in that time. Had we not been so caught up in conversation and not too terribly hungry we would’ve left. Today I stopped by after visiting someone in the hospital. Figured Id grab a quick lunch. It was about 2:30 — 3:00 so it was slow, just two tables occupied. I stood in the front where the sign says I should wait and I waited. And I waited. Finally a staff person came out from behind the kitchen where I could hear chatting and I waved at him. He looked at me, turned around and returned and I heard him say«hey you have a person out there». Okay, well he must be flagging someone down. Well more time goes by. And more time goes by. Now a couple minutes since that person walked away, a total of ten minutes since I arrived. I left. Never before in my life have I gone to a restaurant and been in for that long without being acknowledged at all. Not to mention, not being able to get a table on a slow day. Perhaps someone in the back was injured. Perhaps they all called in sick. Perhaps they were closed, forgot to lock the doors and those other couples were still there from the night before. But for whatever reason, it appears Denny’s in Eureka is not in any particular hurry to serve. Good thing Eureka is full of fast, friendly staffed restaurants and chain joints. I’m writing this from China King down the road, where I was immediately greeted, and had my delicious food in minutes. This is the only 1 star review I’ve ever left on Unilocal.Hopefully it’ll remain the only one!

We wanted Denny’s… but we will need to find a better location. Seated right away… on a booth that was taped together with«Camouflage» Duct Tape. A lot of older patrons in the restaurant. Scuzzy… food on floor, etc. Server was gruff lady. Food(eggs, sandwich, etc) was fair/poor(surprising for Denny’s brand), pancakes were OK. Coffee was disgusting — stale taste with burnt odor… wow. Suggest avoiding this restaurant until mgmt. changes. Best to all.

What can I say, I love the hashbrowns!!! I had the blueberry grain pancakes and hashbrowns. The pancakes were a bit undercooked in the center but still OK. Coffee is drinkable but not out of this world yummy. Service is fine. In Eureka your choices are limited so you go to Denny’s.

Well, this was an interesting experience. We walked in on a Sunday morning. I full well expected it to be busy. We were sat quickly and we waiting about 5 – 8 minutes before our server came over. That was not a problem for me as I am generally not in a hurry to order. The served seemed preoccupied, but friendly. She was not the quickest to fill our coffee or to check up, but it was a Sunday so we had some extra compassion. The manager was very involved and made sure our visit was going well, he was very pleasant. The food was good, as always, Denny’s is very consistent these days. That’s a definite plus. Overall it was a great Denny’s experience, and we had some quality people watching time.

WOW… I’ve been to alot of Denny’s in my life & I have never had such GREAT service & the food tasted WONDERFUL. Our Waitress was AMAZING& so so so so so friendly!!!

We came here after a 5k before heading to six flags. It was just ok. I liked that it was clean, which can’t be said for all Denny’s locations. I ordered the Ultimate Skillet and was impressed with the flavor but a bit disappointed in the lack of vegetables as advertised. The waitress was nice, a little creepy, but nice otherwise. That being said I would come back here for a pre– six flags breakfast.

Was really impressed by this Denny’s! I am normally not a big Denny’s fan but this one being close to Six Flags… and the fact I was hungry… made me take the leap. It didn’t disappoint… The food was good… service was good… and yes I will go back. Other than our waitress being a bit on the creepy side… it was a great experience.
