My boyfriend had broken the key to his apartment (superhuman strength possibly) and was on the search to get it replaced. After searching one place which couldn’t do it, we found Humboldt Lock & Safe. We walked in around 5pm and were greeted warmly. They were able to do the key on the spot and it was only $ 2.50. Great customer service would make me return if I ever need their services again.

Liz was so nice and helpful. She explained everything to me very simply which was nice. And she got me set up for the appt in the same day. Bob did the work and got it all done in one go. It did end up costing twice as much as was originally quoted. That is my one complaint. I was charged 47 dollars each for doorknob replacements, when I found basically the same ones at shafers for 9.99. So the service was excellent, but the price was way too much. However I would probably use them again if I needed to because of the fast and efficient work that was done.

I was extremely pleased with the service Bob gave. My mother who lives in Eureka called. She is in her eighties. She needed a locksmith. I live in Placerville, California. I used Unilocal to find Humboldt Lock & Safe. Bob called me and keep me informed what was happening. I would call he again in a minute. Thank you.

I have had to go with another local company through AAA when my daughter’s car was stolen and the service didn’t even come close to what Bob delivers at Humboldt Lock and Safe. He’s honest and always reliable and he would never take advantage when you’re already having a bad day because of lock troubles!

Ok, here’s a review for what Bob did NOT do. My friend’s truck shell needed new locks so I took it to Humboldt Lock. He said, «I can do this but I’ll have to order the locks and it will cost $ 200, or you can go to a camper store, buy the locks for $ 25, and put them in yourself with one screwdriver in about 10 minutes.» Thanks, Bob!

I recently had occasion to contact Bob when AA refused to come to my aid. Some how the seat belt had become jammed between the drivers seat and the door and I couldn’t open the drivers door. AAA refused to dispatch anyone because I could still turn the engine over. But you can’t drive a car from the passenger seat! I called Lithia my car is a PT Cruiser) who referred me to Bob and also told me to take it up again with AAA because they should have helped me. Bob showed up and I never saw anyone work so hard. He fixed the problem and I would recommend him anytime. (it loos like AAA is going to reimburse me.)

I have used the services of Bob at Humboldt Lock and Safe for at least 10 years. Bob has taken care of all my lock needs at rental properties I have and he has done this flawlessly and at very reasonable cost.
I highly recommend Bob, without reservation, for any locksmithing needs you may have. You won’t find a better locksmith anywhere.

I couldn’t be happier with his service. He showed up at exactly the time he said and took his time explaining how my lockbox worked. He was clean, polite, honest and knew his business. He could have charged more, but didn’t. I would definitely recommend him and would call him again. By the way, he has moved to Harris Street.
