The local private air field at 5 feet above the water level. This little airport is very close to downtown Eureka. It is often foggy in the mornings, especially during the spring and winter months. The few times I have flown out of here it has always been clear and I have never had any issues with the tree canopy, though I can see where it might give someone a bit of trouble if you’re not use to it. Murray has a short runway by most standards and with mountains to the east and the water to the west, it can be a little tricky at times. There is a pilot shop in the terminal building along with public restrooms and a café. This is a decent little private runway, with hangars and parking available for aircraft. It serves its purpose and sure beats flying out of Crescent City an hour and a half north. 3.5 Stars — rounded up for local support and convenience. 285

Short runway, often fogged in. Tall trees off one end of the runway, hills to the east. You’re better off going into Aracta, but if it’s VFR and your airplane has no problems getting out of a 3000′ strip then this is the closest airport to downtown Eureka. Nice little pilot shop in the«terminal building».
