Old Town Auto Service

Okay, so first off let’s start with what I came in for. I came in for a standard 67,500 mile service on my 2008 VW EOS 2.0T. The price came out to be about $ 133 which is a bit rich for my blood but the car needed servicing and I wasn’t gonna argue with that… It took them about a half hour after my appointment time before they got my car up in the garage and finished it in about an hour and a half. When I got the car back they said the only issues they had was that they didn’t have the necessary tools to turn off my service light on my car haha! Charged me about $ 96 in parts and $ 29 in labor plus tax.

Anytime I need work on my car I will come here. The service was excellent! I thought my clutch was burnt out and needed a new one, come to find out it was just a clip that had worn out. I really appreciated their urgency and efficiency to get my car fixed. Like the previous review, I am a young female and at times mechanics will take advantage of that but not here. Ray (one of the mechanics, owner?) was very patient and was «dad» like in explaining what had happened to my car. I have some knowledge of cars but not enough at times. This place is great! The price was very reasonable for what had to get done, and they were very honest as to what was needed. Never did I feel that they were pushing other car problems on me. Ask for Ray.

From the moment I called Old Town Brake and Auto I felt comfortable and pleased. First of all, a knowledgeable and helpful receptionist answers the phone. (Not some gum-​chewing mechanic in the back of a loud garage…) She was very helpful and easy to understand. They were very honest with me and I never felt misinformed or taken advantage of, as I have with other mechanics in the past. As a young woman not particularly knowledgeable about cars, in the past I have felt like I need my dad to call them to make sure no one’s getting the best of me. With Old Town Brake and Auto, I felt like Wally was my dad. He took the time out to explain everything going on with my car. He helped me assess the damage and helped me reach a well-​informed decision about what to do. I never ever ever felt pressured in any way into any repairs, I never felt confused or taken advantage of. Amazing! Clean waiting room, too. This business is the reason I signed up on Unilocal.As a woman, I would highly recommend them. Ask for Wally.
