Schnucks

I stopped in here to grab a bagel and cream cheese. I got a bagel and asked for a couple packets of cream cheese. The lady in the bakery told me they were out and didn’t have any. Unacceptable when I purposely passed a St. Louis Bread Company to shop at schnucks.

Abundant products. Great variety and quality. Overall, a consistently decent grocery store.
But:
You know how some people are just NOT morning people? Those of us that are full of vigor and creativity and successfulness late in the evening? Yeah… if Schnucks were a person, it would be the epitome of a non-​morning person. There is an annoying lack of service in the morning. It’s not bad service; it’s literally NO service. I’m convinced the checkers must be in the break room, hiding under the covers and incessantly hitting the snooze button. It’s just weird, really.
But, alas, I’m not a morning person either. So I can’t rate you too badly, Schnucks. I’ll just remember to visit you later in the afternoon, after you’ve rubbed the sleep out of your eyes and greeted the day (afternoon) with a smile.
