After going to another eye place for her eye exam in town, my wife was told at that location that to replace her glasses it was gong to be in over 700 $, with their downgraded low end choice at just over 500 $ — 500 $ bucks for low end…
Now I know eye wear can be expensive but this seemed excessive even for nor-​cal, so much so that it made me question their real motives. Was it to make sure my wife had proper eye wear or was it to just try and make an extra buck or two (or more) off us.
This prompted me to do a little looking around. I called Six Rivers Optical — from the moment I spoke on the phone with them to the time my wife was fitted, and then picked up her new glasses — every step of the way was first class. The customer service is second to none, and professionalism that makes other places fail in comparison.
Great local service, a nice selection of quality name brand frames, fair competitive pricing and helpful friendly professional knowledgeable service — this is a hard to beat combination.
This is the very best Optical shop in the Humboldt bay area.
All said and done, my wife’s new eye wear cost us about half of what was quoted/​priced at the other location. She received first class personal service, got the eye wear she wanted and it did not break the bank.
Highly recommend for all of you eye wear/​vision needs.

4 of 5 is high. Especially in northern west-​coast. If they don’t have what you like, the staff will get it here with in two wks. My time was spent deciding which exactly was me.

I am so highly impressed with the customer service provided by Six Rivers Optical. I am visiting Eureka from out of town for a friends wedding and unfortunately forgot my contacts at home. Although Six Rivers did not carry my contacts Marty was extremely helpful in providing a new brand with a fantastically priced eye exam. They really saved the day and impressed me beyond believe. Everyone should refer or support this business. One of a kind genuine people!
