Good was amazing as the service was awesome! The gal that served us was so funny and sweet and gave great recommendations. I wish the hours were more regular but hey, keeps it unique. One of my top favorites restaurants in eureka.

Reading the reviews gave me high expectations. They did not disappoint. Desire(waitress) was so cute. Colorful personality. Nice ambiance. Best of all our food was crazy great. I could eat their dinner salad everyday. Highly recommend. I’ll be back for sure. Looks like their potato menu would be great for lunch or take out.

Lovely little gem of a restaurant hidden away in a shopping center. The atmosphere is cozy & relaxed, the service always sweet, attentive & helpful, and the food exactly what I fondly remember, and was hoping for as someone who grew up in southern Germany!

So tasty! I love German food and this place exceeded my expectations. The waitress was hilarious too — my kind of humor. Can’t wait to go back!

Where do I begin? We show up not really sure what to expect. Our previous attempt to eat here they were closed and we had to go elsewhere. When we finally made it There was just one other customer, two very pretty servers, and a lady peering out through the back. The servers were wearing a traditional Dirndl. White table cloths, fancy folded napkins and fresh flowers are a nice addition to the strip mall vibe. I ordered sauerbraten and my son ordered fried spätzle. The chef came out and recommended a different cheese other than Gruyère to which I agreed might be better for a 7 year old. Bread with butter and a garlic herb cream cheese ball rolled in black pepper. Absolutely delicious! The salad was a traditional salad of sorts with a combination of cucumber dill, carrot salad, coleslaw, tomatoes, and potato salads. Wonderful flavors and nice display. Sauerbraten was perfect, potato dumplings better than standard. The spätzle needed a bit of salt but it was delicious nonetheless. Food was rich, sweet, vinegary as most German food should be. Plenty of gravy for the plate. I’d have no problems going back and look forward to trying new and exciting things. Hands down the best and only food of this style in humboldt county. Truly a hidden gem. Comparable to in Milwaukee. Authentic German, and well worth it!

First time I’ve had this type of food, and it was all so delicious. We ordered the broccoli/cheese potato and the chipotle potato. They tasted soooo great! We had to order the chipotle potato with«super» spicy sauce, but it complimented the other ingredients perfectly. Both potatoes were cooked just right and they had a generous amount of toppings. We also ordered«Franziskaner Weissbier» beer, «Gewürztraminer» wine, and«Desirees special» drink(All were recommended by the hostess). The service was excellent and just made this experience 10x better! We will definitely be come back to try more

I have been eating for years now. Since they’re were located in the Henderson center area. I love eating at locally owned restaurants. You don’t see many Austrian cuisine restaurants around here. The owner is a Very hard working women. I love the Stuft Potatoes. my favorites are the New York steak cheese potatoes, Chicken mushroom wine sauce, or the simple cheese broccoli potato. The service is always good here.

This is the only place in Eureka to get Eastern European food. But it is not good. The first time I went, I thought maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. After going two more times and being very unimpressed, I decided that the price does not justify eating there for the quality of food. I would rather make my own German, Bosnian, Russian, or any other European food.

Poor quality Food. Chicken sandwich meat was tuff and tasted old. Very small quantity of sweet potato fries and over cooked. Sorry low quality food for price. Food for 2 people over $ 50

Loved it. Good German home cooking. Hard to find but worthwhile. Great hidden gem in a shopping plaza. Some of the best real food in the area.

Wow, the food was so flavorful! The name is so deceiving, I thought it was baked potatoes. We would have never tried it, but a friend invited us, so we didn’t want to be rude. We’re so glad we went. It’s probably one of my favorites. They really need to change their name, it doesn’t do the restaurant any justice. It’s wonderful German and French food. We mentioned the place to several people who have been in the area for as long as 16 years and they said they had never gone because they thought it was baked potatoes too. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

Love this little place! Its a sweet little Austrian restaurant hidden away in a strip mall. Last night had Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes and Austrian salad. My husband had the jaeger schnitzel and mushroom sherry soup. It was all delicious! Good, fresh, homey Austrian food with a great apple strudel for dessert. The atmosphere was not what I expected for a place with this name at a strip mall! Cloth napkins, low lighting, German music… this is a great date night place to go and the staff was very friendly. Really, can’t find a single fault with our experience there.

Good-ish food, but that is the limit of good… My son had a potato, that was good sized, but was lacking for toppings, so he asked for more marinara sauce. He was told everything was rationed, and they didn’t have any extra. I had a sausage & sauerkraut sandwich, which was very poor for sauerkraut. I was told I’d be charged for a side-order if I wanted more, and about 15 minutes later I had a small dish with about the amount that came on my sandwich(~ ½ cup). We were the only patrons in the place. On several occasions the waiter was continuing a conversation he was having with the person in the kitchen, and yelled– openly– with them, from the front of the restaurant. I asked for mustard, and was brought a beat-up plastic bottle, apparently directly from the refrigerator; nothing conveys European cuisine like condiments from the grocery outlet, served ice cold, with it’s beat up & torn label. One is paying for the presentation, the service, style, and atmosphere, not simply the food. I wasn’t expecting, nor sought, a formal meal, but what I received was far inferior to what I paid.

Stuft Potato was recommended to me by a coworker and I am definitely not disappointed. I’ve never seen such a unique menu before with so many amazing and authentic European dishes. Everything sounded amazing. During my visit I tried the Spinach and Mushroom Potato. I was a VERY large potato covered in cream sauce, spinach and mushrooms. It was incredible. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about stopping by.

Great service and delicious food! I try to drop by every time I’m in town to get a taste of my Hungarian favorites. They also have a large selection of menu items for those who aren’t feeling very adventurous, such as baked potatoes and crepes. I highly recommend whatever soup of the day they have — they’re always a creative concoction and always yummy.
