Let’s just start with — this is not a 4-Star Hotel. If you expect that type of quality for $ 60 you’re crazy. Upon arrival, when approaching our room there were visible patch marks on the walls and I was immediately expecting it to be bad behind our door. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. They have updated linens, nice, large, blown-up photos of StL behind the beds and a nicer TV than we had at the 4-Star hotel we stayed in by the arch last night. Yes, the sink is in the room and not the bathroom. This doesn’t bother me as I don’t have to sweat while putting on my makeup and the kids can shower while I’m getting ready. Breakfast was crowded when we went down stairs but everyone took turns using the one waffle iron and it all worked out. It cleared out pretty quickly also and we soon were the only family eating. Pillows were comfy. A/C was cold. If you want a place to sleep that is clean, will save you money, and doesn’t include a bunch of frills, this is worth it. It was a little noisy at times, but as a parent traveling with kids, I’m understanding of noisy kids

Check in was easy, friendly staff. Room had basic necessities, very roomy. Room 303. Clean, clean smell, lots of sleep space. King sized bed, 2 hide a beds. Breakfast was quaint. Donuts, coffee, juice and the waffles. Nothing spectacular. Walmart was open and had other required items.

This was the first and last time we will stay at a Super 8. We stayed at Super 8 in Eureka, MO. When we walked in the lobby everything just looked dingy. They have a washer and dryer for guests and the dryer door was being held closed with a broom handle. I don’t know who designed the rooms but the bathroom had a tub/shower and the toilet BUT the sink and mirror was out in the room with the beds. I’m in the shower and realize I have no wash clothes because they are on the sink in the other room. We wanted to plug in our cell phones and there were so many lamps and applicances plugged in, there wasn’t one single available outlet. We unplugged some lamps because, really, who needs 5 lamps in one room? We were planning to leave very early the next morning. The continental breakfast didn’t start until 6:30 am but we couldn’t even get coffee. There was a coffee maker in our room, but no pot or coffee.

Never had a chance to check in. As a result of the way we were treated by the Manager we will never stay at another Super 8 again. First of all, they booked our room a whole month off, in April, instead of May and then tried to blame me for making the mistake after they charged our Credit Card for 6 full nights for not showing up for a reservation. I booked the room for our DCA Nationals. I had the information all printed out in front of me, including the name of the person who took the reservation as well as the confirmation number. When I did not show up a whole month before the DCA Nationals, they charged our card for the entire stay. It took the better part of a work day to rectify the issue, after calling the Corporate Offices repeatedly. Finally, they refunded our card, after a great deal of sugar coating and polite niceties. A simply apology and a refund would have been suffice. Due to this unsatisfactory encounter, we will stay clear of all Super 8 Motels, especially the Independently Owned and Operated ones. At this rate, we do not trust them with our Credit Card Information. Me Thinks NOT!
