Truman’s is a few minutes off of the interstate. We were looking for BBQ and there was not a lot of choices in the area. People were nice and place was fairly clean. The only sauce ordered was bottled by them and fairly vinegary. Pulled pork wasn’t fresh and not a lot of smoke or seasoning. The catfish was good fish and cooked right, just didn’t care for the breading. French fries were freezer crinkle fries, enough said there. If you are desperate for a place to eat then you won’t hate it but if not desperate I would try something down the road.

Worth the drive if your on the interstate, we got there as they were closing but the owner saw us and told us to come on. We ordered and food came quick in big portions. Was dam good the Ribs were very good with or with out bbq sauce. Okra was made from Scratch, and my buddy said it was the best pot pâté salad. The pulled pork was nice and smokey and not too wet. To top it all off after talking to the owner she gave us some bbq sauce to take north with us lol. Great place, great town!
