Evans Urgent Care

One of the better urgent cares I have been to for occupational screenings, etc. The staff members are pleasant and, if you’re a frequent visitor, there’s a significant chance they will remember your name. I had to have a two-​step TB test performed and not only did they remember me when I walked in the door, but when they ran out of the serum due to a manufacturer’s back order, they called other nearby urgent cares to locate it and directed me to them so I could finish my test on schedule. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars is they close at 5pm.

This is my first Unilocal review but I feel a touch obligated. I have a semi-​annual tendonitis issue that I prefer to take care of the right way (NSAIDs, rest, ice) whenever possible but I was in a bad way, only in town for four days during which I needed to be mobile and functional, then fly back to Maryland and do my physically demanding job.
The Dr. here (who’s name is eluding me) understood completely and unlike 90% of urgent care physicians I’ve encountered, actually treated me. Steroids IM and PO+Prescription NSAIDs+a little something extra for sleep=me back on my feet in a few hours (if a little loopy).
I’m all for doing things the natural, holistic way when possible. But sometimes you just gotta live your life and when you find a doc that get’s that, it’s kind of magical.
