7-Eleven

Ppl super nice, attentive and the place is always clean.
Negative —worthy of the deduction of 2 stars for me because I’m within walking distance of this place and only 7-​Eleven I ever been to that DOESNT SELL ALCOHOL! Ack!

So I’m reviewing 7÷11… but I actually have something to say!
This is one of two 7/11’s in Evanston. Not sure if the other one on Davis is open 24/​7, too, but this one is.
During the winter it’s a godsend if you’re missing pantry staples/​need late night coffee and snacks, etc. They actually stock a surprising # of things you wouldn’t find in many 7/​11s, like heavy whipping cream, baking soda, bleach, sponges, etc etc… and shin ramen!
I should note that the other 7/​11, in my experience, does not carry many of those atypical things. Worst of all, no shin ramen :(So you’d have to come here when literally everything else in Evanston closes…
Obviously you’re paying a premium for convenience, but I am so thankful it’s there. Plus, they run a lot of deals on their drinks. There’s almost always something that’s essentially buy one get one free.
Also, friendly staff!

I have no idea if people check review for 7 eleven but this particular store makes me smile.
The workers there are the nicest people I think I’ve ever met. They greet everyone that walks in the door and are always willing to help. Best 7 eleven ever!

If you haven’t had a $ 1.19 Fudge Brownie from 7Eleven… you haven’t lived.

(p.s. They are usually sitting right at the counter next to the register. And the folks behind the counter are always cordial — a definite plus!)
