BC Cleaners

I have used them for about a decade now and am very happy with the job they do. They get my clothes back to me with in a few days and if I ask them to put a rush on something unless it’s badly stained can usually get it back to me in two days. The clothes come back clean and in good shape. They also can drop your clothes off at your home. The reason I’m writing this review now is because they helped my family out with something that I’m not sure how many dry cleaners would be willing to do or even able to do and I wanted to compliment them. A little over a week ago my son had a small stomach bug and threw up all over his bed during the night. It was everywhere including all over his stuffed animals. This included a huge shamoo, a small whale, two stuffed horses, a stuffed dog and a stuffed nija turtle, As well as a stuffed bear. These stuffed animals all have emotional importance to my son. Either because of who gave them to him or because of where and when he got them. He was understandably very upset. I wasn’t sure if washing them would get the small out or even if it did I was concerned that they’d be destroyed. So, I decided to take a chance and take the mess to BC cleaners. They didn’t even bat an eye. They said they’d do their best and that was that. Well the stuffed animals were returned yesterday and they were able to save all of them! They are in good condition, clean and smell great. Ricky was so happy to have his stuffed animals back which naturally made me very happy. Thank you so much BC Cleaners you really went above and beyond the call of duty here and this Mom and her son thank you.

They COMPLETELY mispressed the lapels of my suits and ruined them. Now they look terrible and awkward. Completely incompetent business.

I don’t need drycleaning much so I didn’t have a regular place to go until now. I took a few items in and prepaid to save some money. Two days later everything was cleaned up and nicely pressed.
But they deserve a medal for saving my wedding dress. I did everything wrong and yet the dress looks brand new. I got something on the dress the day of and tried one of those dryel sticks on the spot (on a silk dress) — big surprise it did nothing for the stain. Well after the honeymoon I took it to another place and they heard the word wedding and suddenly it was going to be a $ 300 dollar job. Forget that. So I put in in my closet till I could find another place to try. Fast forward TWO YEARS and I finally think, maybe I should get this dress cleaned. I had no hope for the stain, but BC Cleaners worked magic on it and I still can’t believe it. So happy!
Give em a try, totally worth it.

I’ve user this cleaner twice and had good experiences both times. The prices are reasonable (but not cheap), but there is a discount if you prepay. And best of all, the clothes don’t have that dry cleaner smell!

This place is terrible. I read the reviews and they were good for the most part so I went, and I am appalled. They shrink most of my knits (cashmeres, wool, whatever). It’s obvious that they try to stretch it out — one of my knits was definitely a box-​shaped one, and now it’s flared and looks stretched out at the hem. Wow. Thanks. One of my silk blouses they kept telling me to come back for because a «stain» (what stain? I don’t remember any stain being on that blouse) wasn’t removed, and then the color bled everywhere, even onto the white collar, so now the entire blouse (including the collar) is this ugly muted blue-​gray. Also, one of the ladies (I think there are only two) who works at the counter does not speak any English, and I have so many problems communicating with her. One time, she charged me to get my hem sewn, and I didn’t even mention that at all, and it was another 10 minutes trying to tell her I didn’t want that to be done. They may be good with simple things like a dress shirt for routine dry cleaning, but not for other things. Don’t go here for your sweaters and you should check to make sure they’re not in the process of ruining your clothes if they tell you to come back for a «stain.»

I have had bad service before, but this is the first time I have ever felt strongly enough to create a Unilocal profile and post a review.
Took a top in for a routine cleaning after wearing it ONCE and when I got it back, there were two stains on it. The women at the counter tried to tell me that because she did not take a picture of «before» and «after» of my shirt, that the stains were obviously my fault and by no fault of hers.
I wore this top ONCE and when I brought it in there were no pink «bleach like» stains on it. She told me there was nothing she could do for me because it wasn’t a stain, it was now the color of the fabric. Horrible. I will never be using them ever again and neither should any intelligent human being.
Ruined a $ 50 top that I wore once and then asked me «what I would like to do about it» — I’m sure as hell not giving it back to you! Under no circumstances should anyone ever use BC Cleaners.

I have only been here once, and I took in two dresses and two sweaters. They did a good job with everything, and they were friendly. They also give you 10% off if you pay when you drop off (instead of at pickup).

This is my first time going to BC. I won’t be going back.
I took in 2 shirts and 3 pairs of pants for dry cleaning. The pants were fine, but I received one shirt back with a rip the size of a quarter in the shoulder, and a white shirt with black stains along the side. A ³⁄₅ success rate? Not cool.
On top of that, even with the 15% discount, the prices aren’t all that great. This is my last time going to BC.

If you just want your shirts to be cleaned with a good price, BC cleaners is probably not a bad choice. But if you have nice and good quality clothes, stay away! They do not know how to deal with high quality goods. I brought couple sweaters and a wool down coat. The fur collar of my winter coat was terribly damaged and it is impossible to be used again! They tried to hide it when giving back my coat, very dishonest. After I found out, they tried to fix it, but it has not change a thing.
Regarding the cleaning quality of my sweaters, just ok, not super. I feel I can use the dry cleaning kit and do it myself. After all, you pay what you get. Do not go there with your nice clothes.

My first review since I moved to Chicago, and unfortunately it has to be a not very highly rated one.
I’ll keep it simple:
DO NOT bring your delicates here such as chiffon or silk.
Hands down, each item of that sort I’ve brought has returned to me shrunk. I’ve made it a point to tell them to please be careful with these items since ones have shrunk before, but it seems that whatever product or method of cleaning they use ultimately shrinks the clothes (beyond their control?) They do great with linen, cotton, wool, etc. but I’d take your delicates elsewhere (Davis cleaners has proven great with these materials).
One plus is that if you pay up front in cash, you get a small discount, but considering I’m having my pricier items ruined I figured it’s worth paying the extra dollar or two to have my clothes returned in the same shape and size.

This place is a solid choice four your dry clean and tailoring needs. The prices are fair, although higher than I expected… or NYC is lower, idk. I’ve brought a number of items here and for cleaning and or repair and have been satisfied with the results each time. Plus the staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed.

Great dry cleaners. Friendly, professional service. It is clear that their goal is to please the customer. Reasonable prices (15% off if you pre-​pay), great service… I trust that they care about my clothes and their first priority is to clean them well and gently. Can’t ask for anything more.

I borrowed my friend’s blazer for a couple interviews, so I decided to dry clean it for her before returning it.
The great:
— woman at the front is so sweet and polite
— you get 15% off if you pre-​pay
— It only cost about $ 5 (with discount) to get the blazer dry-​cleaned.
The meh:
— You must spend a minimum of $ 20 to use credit card, which is inconvenient for me because I almost never have cash on me.
It took a little less than a week to get the blazer back, but I was in no rush. Solid 4 stars.

The best dry cleaner around! We go out of our way to come here, and it’s worth the trip every time. Service is top notch, with great attention to detail. Not a broken button (unlike our previous dry cleaner), everything cleaned and presented just beautifully. Great prices – make sure you prepay to get the discount. And Yun, who works at the front counter, is a pleasure.

They have reasonable prices and the staff is super-​friendly. I don’t go in often but they remember me and my items (I usually just take in drapes, quilts and comforters).
I’ve never found any damage or stains, which is a plus.
The one con is that they often don’t have things ready in a timely manner, so if you like a quick turnaround then you may want to go somewhere else.

At $ 8.50 per suit, the prices are reasonable. The turn-​around was fast and staff friendly. Couldn’t ask for more.

I started coming here a few years ago based on Unilocal reviews, and I haven’t gone anywhere since. The prices are reasonable (15% discount for repaying), I haven’t had any problems with the service, and they even take requests for tight deadlines, which is awesome if you’re forgetful like me.
Pro-​tip: bring cash unless you plan on spending more than $ 20 (the minimum).

Yun did a fantastic job of cleaning my wedding gown in less than a week. The cost was reasonable ($ 120) and she took great care of my important item. She said she cleans many gowns — which I saw when I picked up my dress (as well as furs, comforters and other delicate items). I’m glad I took it to my neighborhood cleaner as opposed to someone else downtown.

This place is great; you can prepay and save 15% off.
You have to charge over $ 20 to use a credit cart though.
The service has been great.
