We like IHOP. The food is good for the price and I can and will eat breakfast food at all times. This location is clean, with friendly staff, and consistently good food. I’m all about breakfast food, but we’re also huge fans of the appetizer sampler plate. How do they perfect those mozzarella sticks? One side note, this location has recently been hiring a lot of younger staff that take longer and stumble over order. Other than the fact that they make me feel ancient, these are kids there to learn! Everyone needs to start somewhere, treat them with the same respect as any other server.

Well, that was disappointing. The whole point of going to IHOP late on a Saturday night when you’ve got a sweet tooth is to get something for that sweet tooth, but that wasn’t in the cards this time. My roommate and I went here after I picked him up from work and, while he got the entire order he asked for, I didn’t. I order a crêpe combo, and the combo portion(the eggs and the sausage) came out at the same time as his entrée did. I expected to get the crêpe when the waiter came back to ask if we needed anything else, so I waited… and waited… and waited. By the time he finally did come back to ask if we needed anything, I told him to bring us the check because we were already long done. When I saw that the crepes were still listed on the bill, I said, «No, sorry, you need to take this off, because I never did get the crepes.» «Really?» he responded, apparently unaware of the food that he himself had brought out. He took the bill back and returned to the table to graciously announce that he had discounted the bill… for $ 1.99. I decided that was coming out of his tip, and since I was already pissed at the poor service, he got nada. No crepes, no tip. Sorry, guy at IHOP.

Beware, they put pancake batter in their omelettes. Kinda gross to mix into eggs, if lo carb this is essential to know!

Fine in a pinch. It’s IHOP. You know what you’re getting. Recently thoroughly remodeled, though still somehow feels dirty. The plastic covered menus are always filthy, in need of a proper Windexing. Servers have always been attentive and kind, even in the very early morning/very late evening.

If i could give a zero i would. I come here ALL the time but this time was the WORST! Came to eat a late night breakfast and it was the worst IHOP experience EVER!!! There were 2 ppl sitting at the table when we arrived. We ordered simple meals and after waiting 30 mins, server told us the ONLYCOOK was out of egg whites and they had to make egg whites. Server didnt bring any extra water nor coffee to the table. It appears the cook was running the show and didnt give a «2 fa-doodles» abt the only 2 customers. The cook should have been fired on the spot! Then after waiting 30 for our meals were not cook to our liking… UGH!!! Do not go at this IHOP at night time. Dont understand how the server was writing our order on paper and ITWASSTILLWRONG!

We have been to this ihop several times for breakfast, service is good, restaurant could be more tidy, staff is super friendly however the area outside of the IHOP’s location is less than desirable.

Less than decent so I won’t be back. T-bone steak tasted old and their omelette is very dry.

Quick service. Armed security guard makes you feel safe, especially after midnight on the weekends. Umm. The food is also good. good enough anyway. I also love that they are 24 hours.

Very clean restaurant with a smiling courteous staff. The kitchen gets my order right every time. Short wait time for food delivery plus their award winning pancakes makes for time/money well spent. You get a great meal at reasonable prices and a full tummy. My ONLY complaint is the tight seating, especially in the booths. Other than that 4 stars all the way!

2 hours ago, I had a dinner with my dad. We decided having breakfast food for a sweet tooth urge. I had gone to this Ihop for some years in the past. He had the swedish crepes while I had the berry french toast brioche. Wow. Food is good and ok. But they totally remodeled the place. I feel like I am at some lincoln park lounge with the choice of furniture and décor. Not bad. I just feel the seating to be a little tight unlike before you can combine tables together to form a bigger table. Parking space is brand new so you can accomodate your vehicle with alot of space. Waittress was awesome. She was kind and very hospitable. Excellent customer service. I didnt give 5 stars because I feel the place to be narrow and small. The Ihop located in Skokie, il has a much larger square footage of seating then the one in the Evanston-Chicago border. However, they have done a good job to make the place clean and new after many years in service.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had and the first time in my life I left no tip. The waitress Tesa escorted us to our seats and asked for our drink orders. She was obviously confused when we ordered a pepsi and a diet pepsi, she kept asking«two pepsi?». No big deal — she came back with the sodas and took our order. Great so far. When she came back I asked for butter for my pancakes. She said ok and left. She did not come back for 30 minutes. When she did it was with the check. In the mean time, I had ran out of soda, and never did get the butter. I asked the other wait staff walking by for assistance and they ignored me. When Tesa finally brought the check I asked why she never came back with the butter or more soda, she just shrugged her shoulders and said«sorry».

I was really looking forward to visiting an iHOP after such a long time. While this is a great location with friendly staff and good food, I was a little disappointed in a few things. Thus, the 3 star rating. First, I wanted steak and eggs with hashbrowns. There are no subs, so if I wanted that I’d have to be jerked around for extra moola. I see no reason why they can’t sub out a few things. Does it really cost more to sub out a pancake for hash browns? Or how about a piece of toast for one of those pancakes? This kind of thing makes me want to start a rebellious restaurant that lets everyone sub whatever they like. I hate the idea of basically feeling like I’m being told what to eat. I know I can choose what I want, but when you’re gonna charge $ 2 for 2 pieces of toast, it kind of makes it idiotic that you can’t sub out one of those pancakes. I mean, is it gonna kill ya? Anyway, due to the hash brown debacle, I ordered the sirloin tips instead. They were tender and really not bad, but I disliked the sweet flavor they had. The last time I had sirloin tips, they were not sweet at all. Don’t know what that was about. Also, the meat kind of seemed like liver — at least the consistency of it. Kinda grossed me out. The scrambled eggs, however, were divine. So were the pancakes. And so was the service and staff. I’l go back, but next time I’ll just order the steak and splurge on the hash browns. I always wind up taking half my meal home with me anyway!

I know its weird to write a review for a chain place like IHOP, but this IHOP really stands out. The service is really great and the food is better than in some 5 star placs I have dined in. A lot of people from my neighborhood go here on a weekly basis and I wanted to write a review to let them and everyone know that this business is a great place in our community.

Yes, it’s Ihop, a simple place to eat. But they always treat me right, food comes in a timely manner. I work in the restaurant industry and I can easily identify flaws with a place. Don’t listen to the people who bash them. They’re just pretentious, pompous know-it-alls.When they’re busy, service is slower, as expected, and orders will be messed up. Give them a break. It’s a good, cheap, 24 hr place.

Service is better now. Good thing about a chain businesses, employees change pretty often. I’ve only been ordering a sunny egg and bacon on my cheeseburgers for the last so many years that IHOP finally got with the trend and now offers them as a standard on their menu. Hee hee. I come here because it’s 24⁄7 and it’s always been this way for years. It’s written on their sign and they haven’t gone back on their word like another location which I won’t name. Plus when my god kids visit they love IHOP, so it’s a convenience on those occasional late evenings when they’re allowed to stay awake later. With IHOP, it is what it is. It’s better than Golden Nugget. Yeah, live with it, I said it. You have to know that their eggs don’t come out of the shell when prepared, many eggs are sitting in some kind of ready chamber. It’s not gourmet your paying for so get over that. For a convenient meal with ample people watching excitement it does its job. Tune in after 1 am.

Overall, I’m really not a fan of chain restaurants –especially for breakfast. I hadn’t eaten at an IHOP for years after a not-so-great experience once in Florida(service as slow as refrigerated syrup and undercooked food). However, I’ve been on this crazy strict organic diet, so I just wanted to be bad… very bad! My boyfriend and I rode our bikes to the gym and the IHOP on the corner seemed like the easiest place to get some fuel before our loooong monster ride to the lakefront area. I ordered some type of special with scrambled eggs and french toast. MMMM all those naughty carbs pulsing through my blood stream. It was actually quite tasty! I think he got some kind of sampler with lots of meat and enjoyed his food as well. The place was bustling! It was a little noisy, but that only shows the popularity. Everyone from the greeter to the manager and our server Andrea was super friendly. It totally changed my opinion of IHOP. Though I can’t eat there often due to my diet, they do actually have some healthy alternatives, noted on the menu such as whole wheat french toast and egg beaters. I was pretty impressed. I may have to make an exception once in a while!
