Debra is one of the most interesting person I’ve ever met(in all realms of my life) and is truly a character. I am very impressed by both her credentials(have a PhD and is working on a second one! wow!) and her techniques — it’s not the immediate pleasure you get from usual massages, but it also lasts longer. She said my spinal alignment is off and a rib was in the wrong place, and when I woke up the next day I felt a lot less tenderness and tightness in my neck/shoulder area and a deep trigger point was gone. She is also one of the busiest therapists I’ve ever seen — she is booked out around 2 weeks in advance so act early:)

I’ve been seeing Deb every 3 – 4 weeks for about 2 years now. She is AMAZING. If you’re looking for a 5-star spa experience with aromatherapy, you won’t find it there, but if you’re looking for actual RELIEF from impinged muscles and REAL therapeutic benefit, Deb is the crème de la crème. Now that I have found her I won’t go anywhere else. I weight train 4X a week, and over our time together, Deb has corrected years of injuries, scar tissue, and impingements. She is an absolute pro, incredibly strong, and has a very detailed knowledge of anatomy and is probably the most skilled therapist I’ve ever worked with. Even though I’m a very strong guy, her skills still amaze me(she frequently works on athletes, including some professional ones!) I leave feeling completely«unlocked» every single time. Now, I just see her for routine«check ups» to keep things from being an issue! She is highly organized, methodical, and has a few very strict rules(FYI, being late is not tolerated). She also takes FSA dollars! She books well in advance, so I’d advise you to schedule early, but her calendar is on her website and she is well worth the wait!

Debra has changed my life. She does an amazing job on my back, neck, shoulders and legs but she also treats the whole person. She got me to stop drinking Diet Coke and switched me to water. Not her job but she really cares and is super knowledgable. I’ve never felt better. Her pricing is super reasonable. Her knowledge and skills are worth so much more than you pay.

Let me begin by setting the scene for my first meeting with Debra: I went to the doctor for some intense leg pain which elicited a vague diagnosis of «IT Band Syndrome» and a printout of 30 pages of exercises. No explanations, no recommendations as to which of the exercises to do– the only really helpful thing she told me was that I might also try a massage therapist. I Unilocaled and came across Debra. When I went my first time, Debra started asking me questions, and then actually started answering mine– before I asked them. She could tell from how I was sitting which was my problem leg. She could tell that I was overusing the other leg and starting to injure it as well. She could tell how I sit in my chair at work. She could tell that I naturally point my toes and have flat feet. This is ALL before she got her hands on me! Dealing with my injury has been a long and uphill battle, but Debra has made it soooo much better. Aside from the massages, she has also given me exercises and stretches(complete with full demonstration), made me change my sleep position, and keeps me constantly in giggles. She is truly a character(which I love) but she is above all a warm human being. She gives you chocolate, she remembers things about you, she is passionate about what she does(she even called me one night to check up on me!) and above all, she knows her stuff. I would recommend her in a heartbeat, even though it will probably mean I need to start booking farther in advance!

When I was looking for an MT, I kept getting massages by people who were just rubbing my back. I wanted someone who really understood anatomy, and knew a range of MT techniques to get it all straightened out. Before Debra, I only had a real massage, once, while traveling in Ohio, where they make MTs pass medical boards to get certified. Debra could pass those boards, and has expert technique besides. She’s even good at distracting you when she really has to dig in(and then she gives you dark chocolates.) Just get one massage with her, and you’ll see what I mean.

I’ve changed my mind. She totally gets the 5 stars. She’s wonderful to work with, strong as an ox(useful when you’re a big guy with big knots to work with), and funny as hell.

There are so many things to love about Deb; I’m not sure where to start. First, she tames the crazy knots in my back, legs and shoulders. Second, she is extremely well trained and knows how to treat migraines and chronic back pain. Third, she gives me stretching exercises that help me throughout the month until my next appointment. Fourth, she’s a huge hockey fan and works on me after brutal hockey games and practices. Fifth, her prices are crazy reasonable to the point I sometimes worry I’m not paying her enough. Sixth, she gives me dark chocolate. Seventh, you can book online. Eighth, she is one of those rare people who are truly fun to talk to, compassionate and amazing. I don’t know which I enjoy more, our chats or the fact my shoulder isn’t sore all the time.
