I love this place. I am a NU-​aholic. this is the go to place for anything you want for NU. Keep in mind, you are shopping for NU, not Notre Dame. What do I mean? They have a great selection for mostly everything you need. you wont get the overly absurd branding that you would for a main stream school, but you can find plenty of fun little things for your wacky Wildcat fanatic.
Prices are a little high, but you are paying premium for niche stuff!

I’ve known the friendly family running this business since the Chief of Staff and I used to work at Wrigley Field, last century. It’s not fair to compare this fan shop to the sorts of places selling sports paraphernalia near the other Big 10 schools, Northwestern is much smaller. A better comparison would be with any sports fan store near Berkeley or Vanderbilt, and then one realizes how good this place is. It’s very cramped inside, because they have as good a selection of Wildcats gear as you’re going to find, it’s actually a challenge to move around on a game day, worse in a season when the ‘Cats are a serious threat to win our division.

As a Northwestern addict, this is THE place to go for all your gear and tailgating needs. That’s really all I can say. Struck up a conversation with the owner, and he was very enthusiastic and passionate about NU. Friendly guy, store has everything. Go ‘Cats!

The go to store for Northwestern apparel and items. Not as big as stores I have seen from other schools with bigger followings. My friend was able to get the gothic jersey that Northwestern wore against Nebraska.
They have items from other schools (mostly b1g) and some professional, but its very Northwestern centric.

Northwestern fans deserve better than this small-​time operation, which, I believe, also manages their sports website store. I’ve never been fully satisfied with the selection, pricing, etc. but a recent experience sealed it for me. My graduate school daughter, who has no income, of course, recently purchased a clothing item for me, size…“large”. Well, maybe it was «large» in the children’s section? Women’s section? Anyway, she flies over for the holidays and, of course, it doesn’t fit. She is kind enough to offer to take it back when she goes to Chicago, for which she is given «store credit» instead of a refund. To quote a Seinfeld episode: «Thanks for mutton»

Nice enough for a sports store in the NU area. They often have sales on certain items after a while (i.e. Blackhawks championship t-​shirts), so I’ve sometimes gotten a few such items here. Appeared to be somewhat of a selection of sports items for other colleges (and particularly Big 10 schools, as you could expect), as well.

Huge selection… Super friendly and helpful service… Just a great place to shop. it is stores like this that make you realize how much better a «mom and pop» experience really is… and that you actually WANT to spend your money here! Go Cats! It can get a little cramped in there… but I suppose that is also part of its charm.

Are you a Northwestern fan? If yes then this is the only place you can find any and all Northwestern gear. Cindy and Dave are great and I could browse the store for hours. They also always seem to have exceptional specials on older merchandise. There isn’t much more to say, but this is the go to place for all things purple.

This is my first Unilocal Review. This place is AMAZING! I was able to get a custom Venric Mark jersey in TWENTY MINUTES! There was a mixup with the companies and they didn’t receive jersey/​numbers until the day of the game and they were able to make my jersey. They also have anything NU related item you can think of. I absolutely love this store. They are amazingly friendly and are willing to do many custom projects.

What can I say? As a relatively recent grad of Nerdwestern, I have a soft spot in my heart for Let’s Tailgate.
Pros:
Tons of merchandise. They are the official purveyor of merch at the basketball and football games so you get a little more variety than you would at the bookstore. Also, it’s the cutest NU stuff I’ve found, seconded by the selection at the Locker Room.
Cons:
There is so much merch in here it’s hard to get around let alone find anything. Way too much in a small space. Also some of the stuff I’ve gotten here is kinda cheaply made. Dye from one of their purple tee’s rubbed off on my skin and my undershirt, and one of the baby onesies I bought for a friend had already pilled by the time I took it home. Also, there isn’t a dressing room to try stuff on. Just a creepy dank bathroom in back.
So room to improve, let’s tailgate but still my favorite NU gear emporium!
