Great fireworks. The people working there was quite helpful. They also give 20 percent discounts for military and Veterans. My family really did enjoy the fireworks. They also gave me free fireworks for Pioneer Day for coming out to Wyoming to get the fireworks. Great People and Great Company. PYROCITY!

There are basically«3» Firework stores in the area, right off the freeway(Phantom, Pyro City, and TNT). I went into each of these firework stores doing price comparison. One thing to note, each store has their own brand and style of firework. There are on a few fireworks that are generic(i.e. Roman Candles). After comparing all three stores, I found Pyro City to be the most affordable. For example, you can get a good size Roman Candle pack at the Black Cat for $ 2.50, but at Phantom, it will cost you $ 5.99(which works out to be $ 3 a pack). A 10 – 15 shot firework show at Phantom will run you at least $ 50, but at Black Cat, you get a similar show with the same amount of shots for about $ 15 — $ 25. I spent just over $ 200(yes, I got carried away). They had mystery boxes for sale at $ 25 a box(a really good size box), which was filled with huge assortment of fireworks that had damage packaging or ripped labels, but still functional. I would have gotten one of these, but there was no room in my van for such a box of fireworks. They have the longest sparklers I have ever seen… I got 4 boxes of those for the kids. This place has the coolest video set up I have ever seen before. If you take just about any Black Cat product and scan the barcode at this kiosk, a video will pop up on a LCD screen and show you a video presentation of that firework. There is nothing like viewing before you buy. They give you a free firework after you spend a certain amount. I got 3 free fireworks because I spent $ 200…all firework stores offer some type of incentive for purchasing fireworks.

Yay!!! Blowing stuff up is fun. I mean hey there is nothing else to do in this sad town. The alcohol and fireworks that Mormons wont allow in Utah are more than abundant just over the border in this shimmering oasis of freedom.

This place had a decent assortment. If you’re looking for the old classic fireworks that you used as a kid this place has a lot of them. I went to several other stores in the area and was disappointed by the lack of many of the«younger kid» orientated fireworks. Prices seemed to range from $ 0.50 for things like pops, pull a parts, chicken that lay eggs, to $ 599 for the grandfather assortment. Another store in the area does a buy one get one free sale but their prices are about double so it’s really about the same price.

I have been going to pyro city for a long time, they usually have good prices and are organized well. My most recent visit was not like the rest. After checking out, I checked the receipt and we had an extra 10.88 charge, for a lantern parachute. We took the receipt and the bags back inside. Our clerk seamed put out that we had checked her work, she first pointed in a bag and said«that’s it». Another worker looked and said there are no lanterns in here. The clerk then got her till open and proceeded to give us cash back, she didn’t look at us or say anything. I asked for the receipt back and the other employee explained they had to keep it. I went looking for a manager. Didn’t find one. Finally got a copy if my receipt as another employee tried to explain to me that this happens when the cashier scans things to fast. She also explained that they don’t even have those types of lanterns anymore. I asked if they planned to do anything about this issue and her response in an exciting voice was that I probably have some free things in my bag. Yep you get«free» roman candelas and ground bloomers when you spend 50 dollars or more! She didn’t have an answer as to why the randomly charged item was the first one on the receipt. I’m not sure if it’s the employees scamming the customers or if it’s a company wide thing. Check your receipt every time!

I don’t usually find myself in firework stores, except around the fourth of July. Having not made the trip to Evanston in awhile, I’d all but forgotten what a firework store even looks like. Pyro City has a pretty decent selection, and we were pleased with how everything turned out when we lit them off back in Salt Lake. Even on the 4th of July the staff was quick to help, and they seemed to keep things moving at relatively fast pace. I can’t imagine not being able to find something here that would satisfy your pyro needs. But apparently a few of the other firework stores in Evanston have a bit more of a selection, so it might be worth checking out to compare. Price wise, I think it’s all generally the same.

I make my annual trip for our 4th of July celebration straight to Pyro City, they have the best selection and prices. Can’t go wrong with Black Cat and Pro products.

Super friendly guys, very helpful and provided good advice in choosing a few items. They were generous, and had a great selection of items we hadn’t seen at some other stores.
