Marty is definitely the best Sleepy’s salesperson I have come across in the last year of searching for the right mattress. He is knowledgeable, patient, reasonable, and did not give us less attention or care despite the fact that he was not going to get a commission on the exchange.
Absolutely stood out as an exceptional professional who was far above the rest. We did not have good experiences with Sleepy’s until we found Marty in Evanston. What a relief, and a game changer. Our mattress is so comfortable and we are finally sleeping well! I would not recommend Sleepy’s unless you are going to Marty. He is the best.

I came in looking to ask a few questions about the mattress I had recently purchased for a labor day sale knocking down a memory foam gel mattress from $ 1300+ as a full set to about $ 566 before taxes. I hadn’t been sleeping well with the new mattress and thought I might try out a new pillow because I had not tried any of the Sleepy’s pillows aside from the day I purchased the mattress and wanted to replace an outdated and overused Sleep Number store pillow that cost me $ 200. I was enthusiastically greeted by Darius who probably recognized I looked a little sleep deprived. He let me nap for a good 30 minutes in the store while trying out a variety of pillows including those for side, back, and stomach sleepers. I decided to go with a back sleeper pillow that was a memory foam gel variety for $ 81 with my Northwestern student discount. The pillow normally cost $ 99. I was very happy with this purchase because I instantly felt my head sink into the pillow and felt my worries float away. Even just napping with this pillow shortly in the store I realized how high quality this pillow is and how efficient it is for someone like me who prefers a dense yet soft feel to the pillow. I absolutely loved my purchase at this location and would highly recommend Darius to anyone looking to purchase a pillow who is not sure how to identify their needs. Darius’ customer service was superb and he was not pressuring at all during the transaction. I felt Darius upheld the values of Sleepy’s as a company and exemplified a true consideration for providing a 5 star (2 more stars than the Sleepy’s logo contains) customer experience. I’ll be sleeping like a baby tonight and will gladly refer anyone with sleep issues in the proximity of Evanston to immediately check out Sleepy’s on Sherman Ave!

My son bought a mattress at Sleepys last weekend. The salesman that night talked us into buying a mattress/​box spring that was too long and too high. We realized the length mistake the next day and talked to Marty. He was great, he made the change in mattress/​box spring size and we were able to keep the same delivery date and got the refund for the difference. When the mattress arrived, it was very clear that we should have gotten the lower box spring. The bed was way too high. I called Marty again and he exchanged the box spring for us, no charge. Marty was extremely helpful and came through for us big time. Great customer service.

Do not go here, unless you like shady sales techniques, being given the run around, making numerous calls before getting a refund and finally the refund you do get is not full and you still have to call to get the rest of your money back.
Went to Sleepy’s on 13 Jun to check out mattresses. Sales person talked us into buying a mattress with box spring even though we mentioned numerous times we didn’t need the box spring. Her response was its such a good price you can just throw away the box spring when you get it.
We we were promised free delivery and was given a free mattress to take home immediately too.
Upon seeing the breakdown of the bill at home, there was a $ 330.88 charge for the box springs, the delivery fee was $ 59.99 and the free mattress pad was $ 32.69. .
We immediately called and cancelled the order.
We were inundated with calls as to why we cancelled and to reinstate the order. After we insisted on just giving our money back. the runaround really began.
We were told the refunds department would call us in 24 hours. After 24 hours no call. so I called Sleepy’s.and was told I was wrong and that the refunds department would call in 48 to 72 hours!
Four days later no call yet so I called again. and was told customer service could not help and that «the sales manager will have to call you back as she is opening a new location and they don’t have phones there»… finally numerous calls later I get a hold of the sales manager and she says «I see the money has been refunded». Funny it does not reflect in my account.
A week later, when I do receive the money, it is short by $ 32.69 .the price of the free mattress pad.
This whole episode began on 13 June .as of writing this review on 13 July and I have still not received my full refund.
I truly enjoy taking time out of my day to call your lack of customer service department and get the run around just so I can get my money back.
