My wife and I purchased a brand new table, leaf, and eight chairs. Three years later, damage started to appear on my table. The same week I noticed the damage, I called Montage, the company that holds the warranty. It took five months for Montage to send a technician to view the damage on our table. In our original e-mail, I told Montage that it appears the finishing was never applied to the table because the table CLEANS differently than the leaf. The table appears to hold onto moisture, but the leaf allows moisture to wipe right off. Montage has denied us in fixing/replacing the table because of the damage has been ongoing for a lengthy time. They will do nothing. They do, however, keep telling me, «We do not cover manufacture damage» without explicitly saying the problem I have with my table is Ashley Furniture’s fault. Ashley Furniture’s local owner tells me that this damage comes from within the house. Ashley Furniture refuses to even let me bring the table to them for the personal inspection. It is not MY fault that the table holds onto moisture and the leaf does not. I cannot even have my daughter put her glass of milk on the table because I am afraid of the condensation on the glass soaking into the wood. Who buys a table that you cannot eat with your family at dinner time? This is RIDICULOUS.

We purchased new living room furniture with cash from this store, and the service that has been provided is less than desirable. We have waited for over 2 months for the furniture to be delivered, and it still has not been delivered. A date was scheduled to deliver it, directions were provided to the store at the time of purchase, and on the date that it was scheduled to be delivered the driver called to confirm the directions. I returned the call within 20 minutes, and the driver was headed back to the store and would not deliver the furniture. We had to pay someone to wait at our home since we travel for our jobs. Now, we have to wait another week and a half for them to deliver it, while we have no furniture in our living room since it has already been moved out to make room for the new. I would highly, highly recommend that you not do business with this store. I have spoken to a manager of the store who says that they can charge a fee to cancel the order and refund the money. I would also recommend using Kloss Furniture in O’Fallon, IL. We have purchased several pieces of furniture from them, and we have never had as many issues as we have with Ashley.
