Hampton Inn Evansville

Great hotel. Very clean. Good breakfast. The lady in charge at breakfast was very kind and helpful with my children. We stayed 2 nights.

The Hampton Inns have stepped up their game and this is becoming one of my more favorite places to lay my head when traveling on business.
This location is good sized, in very good shape and has nice cozy beds and, most importantly to me, good showers with hot, but not scalding water.
Bathrooms were clean, as was the room and everyone working there was very nice.
Breakfast buffet was included and the whole experience was very good.
There is an onsite gym if you are so inclined and free wifi if you are staying there.
Prices were good overall
Parking was plentiful.

Since I stay at Hilton properties for work, I accumulate points fairly quickly. I use them for «getaway weekends» for my husband and me. We spent two nights here this past weekend. We’ve been here several times, but I noticed some things thus time.
On the plus side: they are resurfacing the parking lot, appear to be fixing the roof on the pool, they’ve expanded the breakfast selections, and the staff are very friendly.
Down sides: The pool was very heavily chlorinated, I’m still itching over 24 hours later. The rooms could be cleaner — I found a lot of hair in the bathtub (ick), and the carpet/​furniture needs to either have a deep cleaning or needs to be replaced. Eggs at breakfast were Sahara desert dry, btw.
Worst part — and this isn’t the hotel’s total fault, but it was loud. There was screeching and door slamming Saturday night, and according to another couple we spoke with, there was a fight on their floor on Friday night.
I think we will do the Hilton Garden Inn next time

We stayed there last week for a soccer tourney. The adults — not the kids were told to go in our rooms as early as noon because people were sleeping… This was at noon!!! We were later told the same thing at 2PM!
Nothing for breakfast was working — management was horrible!
The only staff that was anywhere near pleasant was the woman who was changing the garbage cans and cleaning in the morning. Everyone else was horrible.
No hot tub — pool was riddled with band aids.
We’re officially dumping Hampton in favor of Holiday Inn Express — hands down and not looking back.

this is actually one of the best Hampton Inns in the country. I stay here often and it’s really a nice place to stay. The people make this place great. I’m Hilton Diamond so I’ve been in a few.

No problems. Clean, nice people, edible free breakfast. Nice towels, good TV, coffee pot in room. No booze, no bar. Excellent location.
