LOVELOVELOVE coming to Ri Ra! It’s a great place for drinks and pub food! I’ve come here on multiple occasions and I’ve always left full and happy. Also– the French press coffee is AMAZING

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. I have lived in Evansville for 4 years and have never been here, but I will definitely be coming back often.

Took a while to get served in the bar seating area on a non busy Sunday night. If the server says«my man» one more time I’ll have to slap him. Fish and chips at an Irish bar should be one of the best things on the menu. I haven’t tried anything else, but it was not very good. Fries were not good either. I couldn’t finish either. I think the one thing they got right for being Irish was like warm beer… which is not good in the States.

This is a bit late, I will admit. My husband and I went here a few months ago. I had been here several times, it was his first. We had a date night at the casino and came here for dinner. I had always had decent food and service here. But… We were wearing hoodies and jeans.(Our hoodies were from Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Co., lol). I guess we were underdressed, lol. Took forever to get a server. Our appetizer was the pretzels and cheese. The cheese was burned and nasty. By the time we found our server, the food was cold, and it just wasn’t worth the hassle of complaining about it. Our entrées were mediocre at best. They seem to have gone downhill. Too bad. :-(

My wife and I were in town and had a room at the tropicana. We’ve eaten here before and have been pleased. So, we go there after eating pizza at Turoni’s and walked in to a great surprise. Expecting to simply have a Guiness and head back to the room, we decided to wait for the band. The band didn’t start until 10 and we were a little nervous about the volume, during the sound check. Wow, the kids from Minneapolis were great. They would have been a great fit for Lamasco. Prince meets Motley Crew. Original material and fine chops all the way around. The drinking crew that had been there since getting off work didn’t like them, but we did. I assumed they were local and was impressed that Evansville had that kind of music scene. We hope we weren’t the only ones to tip the band.

They use to have a menu with quality food and now it’s mainly cheap bar food with high prices. It’s a shame. The food we had today was also under cooked. The atmosphere and drinks are still good, but most of the food is easy to make and can be found at any other bar. They don’t even have corn beef and cabbage on their menu anymore! Getting lazy

Pretty good atmosphere and the servers are very attentive. I ordered the cottage pie and it was a bit watery. It was like someone put mash potatoes on a soup. But flavors was ok.

While not always perfect, RiRa’s is one of the most consistent restaurants in downtown Evansville. Although part of a chain, their management runs the place like a local. They support charity events and are good corporate citizens. Staff, many with Irish ties, can sometimes be distracted but they are always nice. Great place for visitors to town.

Young person traveling for work: Good food and drink options. I love me some Guinness and Jamison. They had both, Jamison black barrel to be specific. Also had a burger Got there at 8pm on a Wednesday. Pretty quiet. Had great and timely service. Wednesdays is also half price burgers. Food was good. Burger was cooked to my med rare liking. Fries are good but a little skimpy. As a young twenty something I was thinking this would be a good pregame bar buy I left at 9pm and it was still deadish. Headed to main street to found a decent few drinks from there. Thursday night edits: again great place, good and Irish bar. Three stars due to how few people are here. It is rather unfortunate. I have noticed in my short time here that DT Evansville has potential beyond its knowledge but seems to have limited social and dining options in true DT. No fault of Ri Ra’s I guess

Visiting Evansville and they allow dogs on the patio so despite it being 40 degrees here I am having a Snakebite and Irish fare on the patio watching the sunset over the river…

Four stars is maybe a bit too generous, but the people at Ri Ra in Evansville are so friendly that I’m happy to round up. After finding ourselves at Le Merigot hotel in Evansville, my lovely partner and I looked for room service options(we were both working during the day, leaving us in no mood to go out, much less deal with the casino crowd) only to learn the hotel doesn’t offer it. Fortunately, Ri Ra(right across the street, and part of the same Tropicana complex) delivers for free and allows you to charge to your room. And it’s worth it. Not only is their food tastier than what most hotel kitchens produce, it’s about half the price. Highlights include the Kilcooly, a delicious warm turkey-bacon-cheddar-apple sandwich, and one of the best Reubens I’ve ever placed in my mouth, with a huge helping of beautifully cooked corned beef and an excellent blend of spices. Great sides include fingerling potatoes(really only offered with a particular entrée, but ask and you’ll get ‘em), mashed potatoes, and green beans. Less impressive are the oversalted fries and the barbecue chicken sandwich, which is breaded and deep-fried(it would have been better grilled), although the sauce is tasty. And the chocolate mousse is odd — it’s gluteny and sticky to the point where I wonder if a step was omitted in the cooking process. The apple crisp is much better — it’s unsweetened and flavorful and served with a nice scoop of vanilla, just as everything should be. There was a glitch in our order — one of the items was sold out, but the order-taker didn’t know this until after we got off the phone. Their attempt to call us to let us know failed, as the phones are screwy(seriously — this is one weird hotel). So 30 minutes after our call, we were wondering what happened to our dinner. But when I called them back, they were honest and appropriately regretful and very helpful about getting us a new order, which they rushed over with a smile. Look, Le Merigot is a friendly but really odd hotel. The rooms are strangely assembled and the amenities are, to say the least, inconsistent. But they’ve got Ri Ra, and that helps give it a much-needed assemblance of order, which is why I’m happy to give ‘em that half-star. If I return, I’ll try a burger or the delicious-looking Guinness beef stew. I’ll even stop in for a pint — I have a feeling their in-house service is fantastic.

This is a review of their delivery service… we didn’t actually go to the restaurant. We’re staying at Le Merigot hotel, and of the menus available in our room, Ri Ra definitely had the best menu of the batch. Bonus: They deliver right to your room… and bigger bonus: they can charge your meal to your room if you want. Win win! Gotta say, the food was really good, and possibly made even more delicious because they delivered it in the middle of this ridiculously cold polar vortex. We ordered from here two nights in a row, and both times our first choice meal wasn’t available, so we ordered something else, but were still pretty happy. I got the Kilcooly turkey sammich two nights in a row, and the beau got the freakin’ amazing Publican Reuben one night, and the BBQ chicken sandwich the other night(which wasn’t anything to sing about but certainly tasty). I also ordered a chocolate mousse, which has a very odd texture… it’s… I dunno… stretchy? Like a wet yeast dough or something? The flavor is pretty good– not too sweet, but the texture is so kooky that I only had a few bites. We also ordered an apple crisp, and it’s super-simple and really good. again, not too sweet and served with vanilla ice cream in its own little container. The food was very hot when it arrived, which again is saying something considering it is 8763876 degrees below zero outside and they had to march it across the parking lot to get it here. The folks who took our order and delivered it were all really friendly. Yay!

Food is consistent. Pretzel bites for an appetizer… good. Caesar salad good, but had makeshift croûton of fried cheese curds. My husband had the Top Chop Salad, which he stated, «must be healthy, there is no dressing on it». If you are coming here for wine, stay home… Kendall Jackson is the only Chard offered. They do have daily drink specials.

The service couldn’t be better. The pickles are jalapeño flashed so be ready! Cottage pie was very tasty. Great French pressed coffee. The Baileys Desert was a real nice treat. We split each dish and left pleased with the bill and satisfaction.

Luke warm food but it was tasty. I had the corn beef, btw. Friendly service, good beer selection. The major downfall is that it’s the«hot» place for Evansvillians who are 20 – 30 somethings that think their shit doesn’t stink.

There is indoor and outdoor seating for party of 1 or more! Limited outside seating though. Get there early. The service and price was great. My draft bass was under $ 5! The bartender had some great recommendations. The Spinach dip was SUPER hot, let it cool off before you burn your tongue like I did. The portion is the size of a cup of soup so you will have room for your entrée. I also ordered the Tortellini with a heck load of veggies and cheese. Loved it!
