Glad to see this place opened locally, I have been waiting to try it out. Lots of different choices for your cheese grilling selection. I tried the gblt and blue cheese chili, two Cincinnati traditions(cinnamon chili) in one meal. Pretty good for a quick lunch.

Friendly service, delicious food. That’s really all I need to say. But I have to write more to make this a review so I’m writing more, but all you really need to know is the aforementioned positive things I said about the food and service. Also, one of the co-owners is named Trew Quackenbush.

Went with a friend for lunch last Sunday. It was busy, but not too busy. We both got the Flying Pig, turkey with bacon, pickles, and Gouda cheese served on white bread. I got chips, she got soup. It was very good, I thought the sandwich had too much bacon(yea I know), but still good. I was full after eating it all! :) I will go back, they have another sandwich I am interested in trying. The sweet tea was really sweet, so I mixed in some unsweet tea. They didn’t offer lemons either. The chips were really good.

Tom + Chee My husband and I had a late lunch there today. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Bright cheery colors and clean lines. The lady that took our order was very friendly as was the lady that brought the food. My husband ordered the Hot & Spicy and a cup of the chunky tomato soup. He chowed before I could get a pic. I got a build your own with swiss, brie, and turkey on white with a dipper of original tomato soup. Holy cats! They do not mess with the portion sizes. My sandwich was oozing cheese. The turkey was real turkey, not processed lunch meat. Grilled perfectly. So good! I’m not a big tomato soup fan, but it had great flavor. My husband finished it, and I took half my sandwich home. Great casual dining experience. :-)

This place has a chance to be something different that this city doesn’t have but instead they are going to be another failure due to greed. The food is good but not worth the price… this isn’t a major city and there are too many other options for less money and more food. Offer combo meals so(sandwich, chip, drink $ 7.99) so I don’t have to order all this and spend $ 11…would love to make this a common spot but simply too pricey. I doubt they change but until they do my family wont be back

Really pleased that they have vegan options. I love when restaurants are considerate. The grilled mac + cheese isn’t cheesy enough. I’ve ordered it twice — the second time I asked for extra cheese. Still too much dry noodle. The original tom + chee is my favorite with a side of creamy tomato soup. I prefer the creamy soup over the chunky. I’ve dined in and called for pick up. Service is always good. I had one order with mistakes, and management went above and beyond to take care of it. My favorite dessert donut is the strawberry lemonade, but the smores is a close second.

The bananarama was good but quite small considering the price. I also got creamy tomato basil soup which was good. What was not good. The cashier Morgan tried giving me change for a $ 10 when I know I paid with a $ 20. I didn’t have a $ 10. The manager checked the camera and corrected it. But I suggest pay with debit card. It’s embarrassing to argue what you paid with

Overpriced for the food. It’s good but regardless of what is done it’s still grilled cheese and soup

Comfort food at its finest! The Crunchy Garlic Chicken, Armagoetta, Italian and Flying Pig are my favorites! The Classic grilled cheese donut is even better than it looked on Shark Tank!

We tried Tom-Chee on a Sunday evening at dinner time. We got 3 combos: pep-chee and macaroni side, hot-chee with chunky tomato basil soup, and ham-chee with regular tomato soup. The ham-chew was good, but if you mess up ham cheese and pickles you may have a problem. The hot-chee was too hot to eat so we got the Italian instead. The original soup was gross. The chunky tomato basil was ok. The macaroni wasn’t that good. Then we tried the grilled donut deserts. The s’more and a mint chocolate one. The mint was gross because it had a very strong medicinal smell. The s’more was pretty good. So, out of 9 food items, we only really liked 2. For all of those items we spent at least $ 40 of not more. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

We really enjoyed our experience at Tom+Cheese. We thought the serving size was quit adequate. Yes you could really spend more than you want for a lunch with all of the add-on’s, but if you stick to the basics the price was good.

We tried out Tom and Chee on a Friday afternoon, mid day, 2ish. We did not have to wait long in line or for our order to arrive at our table.(Only positives) I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and a regular drink. I believe a regular was a 12 oz cup, very small. My husband ordered the turkey pesto and cheese, a cup of blue cheese chili and a regular drink as well, $ 23!!! The portions were very small and the tastes were nothing to rave of. The restaurant was very clearly dirty. Every SINGLE table in a used/messy condition. They weren’t even lined up straight. Jumbled all over the place. Large debris in the floors, napkins, cup lids etc. all the while, several employees were sitting at a table socializing. I overheard a woman and her daughter talking. The mother was the manager and her daughter stopped in to say hi. The woman was making an effort to sweep up while her employees set at the table, contributing nothing. She even made the comment of the floors being disgusting. I am NOT generally a «restaurant complainer» but ugh! We won’t be back until this place gets it under control. Their management is poor and food is overpriced.

First, I tried to go to Tom+Chee on three different days before I could actually find a parking spot outside. It’s always been crazy busy! Once I was finally able to park(on a Wednesday afternoon around 2), I found the restaurant is an upscale fast-food sort. You order at a counter and your food gets brought out to you. They specialize in grilled cheeses(obviously) with a variety of breads, cheeses, and other filling. They also have grilled cheese donut, which is a grilled cheese sandwich where each slice of bread has been replaced with half a donut. Most of the grilled cheese donuts are sweet, dessert type dishes. They also have few types of tomato soup. I got a Ham+Chee sandwhich(which has ham, american cheese, and hearty white bread; it also comes with pickles but I got it without), a cup of classic tomato soup, a Classic grilled cheese doughnut(which is a plain glazed donut with cheddar cheese), and a large drink. My first reaction was to the price, which was $ 17! The food itself was nothing special. The portions for everything were small, which made me even more annoyed about the price(even the«large» soda was only a 20 ounce cup). The Ham+Chee was exactly what you’d expect, two pieces of buttered bread with ham and cheese in the middle. One side was cooked perfectly, the other was a little burnt. The tomato soup was bland. The most annoying thing was the Classic grilled cheese donut, because they invert the sides of the donut so that the glaze is on the inside. What’s the point in using a donut for a grilled cheese if you can’t taste the glaze? Maybe my mediocre experience is my own fault for not trying something more unique; the Tom+Chee menu is full of interesting options. I’ll give it another chance in a few months when the crowds die down, but my first doesn’t give me much hope.

From Shark tank to Evansville we have a winner. Great menu like your Mom cooked but better. Have not tried all of the food yet but the wife and I enjoyed a few items and so far it is great. The grilled cheese is out of this world. The bread, the way it was grilled with butter, the cheese… Wow! You got many ways to eat this with bacon, ham, you name it. The soups look great but did not try them yet. The Mac and cheese was great almost went back for more… Be warned you may have to wait as this place is going to be big.
