Dancing mama and the Holly roll are our favorites. Enjoy going for sushi and Hibachi.

Great, as usual. We always come here when we are in town. Service is good and sushi is awesome.

My friend and I were both disappointed with the food. It was extremely hot in there and to top it all off we both got sick. Do not recommend this restaurant.

I love this place every time. I usually order the tiger eye or my new favorite DANCINGMOMMAROLL. I prefer savory sushi. The tropical salad is also delicious. I can’t get enough.

I have been to Zuki several times since it has opened. Every time I have been to Zuki it never fails that I have received horrible service, but I tried to look past that because I enjoyed the food so much. However, after eating dinner there last I got food poisoning from the Dancing Mama roll that I had. The food did not taste fresh by any means, which is extremely disappointing seeing that they have some of the most expensive sushi rolls in town and their whole menu is pricey. My waiter this time was no exception to the bad service problem. When me and another person in my party asked about our food his response was«What do you want me to do about it?» After trying to call and speak to management 3 times now and being hung up on I will not be returning and will be telling anyone that asks about Zuki to do the same.

Everything is top notch here. It is a great place for a quick, yet upscale lunch. I like to meet clients and staff here when we have lunch meetings. Their new downtown location is great as well. We went to the downtown location for the first time two weeks ago. The grill is upstairs there if you are looking for it. I have only eaten here for lunch. I saw some negative reviews posted here, but I have never experienced poor service or bad food. I have eaten at the grill and at the sushi bar. Everyone has a bad day, but I have not experience it at Zuki.

I have always gone to the other Japanese restaurants in town and found out I was missing out. Zuki’s is great! Good food, good service and a fun show. I’ve had the chicken hibachi and scallop hibachi. Both were excellent. Lots of food. The Yum Yum sauce was very good.

Great cooked and raw sushi. Great prices. Great employees. The décor could use some freshening up but all in all great place:)

We went there on a semi-busy night with around 6 of us. Sat at the hibachi table and everyone got hibachi but me. 3 of us ordered sushi and mine never arrived. So here I am sitting there looking weird while everyone else is nearly done with their food. Finally ask what was taking so long and she said she brought it. I’m getting pretty irritated after being ignored til this point so I say«Well, where is it?» Turns out she put my sushi on the same plate with a friend of mine, who was 3 chairs away btw, and had expected us to know the difference and share. This was a birthday dinner and I think I kept my cool pretty well, but some of these servers need to pay more attention

I absolutely love their food. Its great. Obviously some chefs are better than others. The only thing I don’t like is the wait is a little long and they have to fill up the table at hibachi before they’ll take your order. The tea isn’t the greatest. Kinda tastes like it came out of a gallon jug from the grocery store.

Zuki has been around for quite a while in the tri state area; it was once my favorite place to eat, however as the years pass it seems like it is lacking in service and and good sushi. Recently every time I come in the sushi freshness has been BELOW sub par and the service has been awful. Often times I never see my server until after my meal and did not hardly come by to refill my drink. My all time favorite roll is the sunrise roll, but recently I find myself deconstructing my roll and taking out the raw salmon because it was as if it’s been laying in a fridge uncovered for a few days. That’s how it tasted and texture wise felt. Also I ordered a spicy scallop roll which is usually not on the book specialty menu but it is on the paper sushi menu and my server looked at me like I was an idiot as if he had no idea what roll I was talking about on top of his douchebag presence. I have been going to zukis since it started when they served a special breakfast; I myself know the owners. I don’t know what’s going on but I hope they get it together.

Was in Evansville for a business trip. My co-workers and I got minor food poisoning here. Luckily mine was not as bad because I ordered udon. My colleagues ordered rolls that were served cold, which led me to believe they had unsanitary food handling practices. Ironically the rolls had no raw fish, from which I ate a couple pieces. Maybe it’s because our San Francisco stomachs have grown accustomed to super fresh, clean fish. Maybe Zuki really does have something fishy going on back there. But what’s certain is that I will not return, nor will I recommend the restaurant to others.

We went we waited we ordered drinks then waited and waited drinks show up then we waited and waited and left. I know the good is good when/if it comes. However, after as long as this place has been open you’d think the service would improve. Perhaps to go is the best option.

We had the hibachi and some sushi. The sushi was awesome(Mango Tango, EVV Roll, Spider Roll, Red Snapper, tuna & eel). The hibachi was ok. They cooked the rice first, so it was cold by the time the rest of the food was cooked. Overall, a great dinning experience.

Best sushi place in town. When I come to visit this I always make sure to make time for dinner at Zuki. The tropical salad and sake cocktails are to die for, the sushi and sashimi is always fantastic. Food: 5⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 — can be so spotty! Location: 4⁄5

Great service, wonderful atmosphere, and good food. Found this place through Unilocal. This resaurant was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It has hibachi(or tappenyaki), a sushi bar, and tables as well. There was live music when we went(on a Wednesday night). That’s actually pretty cool if you ask me. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Thai roll, the fried lobster roll, and the sunomono. The rolls were good, but the sunomono sucked. It consisted of pieces of cucumber and a lilttle bit of shredded crab. The sauce was bitter andd little in amount. I would skip it. Prices are average prices I would see in another sushi place. 9 – 13 dollars for roll. The rolls are all beautifully made and constructed. They look very legit. The hibachi was also very popular from what I saw. Two tables full of people. We also found the best Moscato wine there. Ruffino moscato. Yummy.

I was seriously not impressed with the food here, or the service. My mistake was coming here after going to Nagasaki Inn. Nagasaki pretty much sets the standard for the best sushi and Japanese cuisine available in the area, and Zuki fails. Once again for people that keep calling this place Hibachi. Hibachi is a style of grilling. This place is Teppanyaki, which is frying on a flat surface. Frying and grilling are not the same thing, and produce very different flavors. Pan fried steak is not the same as grilled steak. For those that cannot tell the difference, you are the sucker. Keep in mind that Evansville still has not heard of Froyo, Bubble Tea, dim sum, and I was not in the area long enough to try to find decent Chinese or Korean food(if any). My parents wanted to take my husband and I out for dinner in Evansville, Indiana. We arrived here on a Wednesday night, they were packed, and I do not understand why. After reading so many great reviews, I was being optimistic. The sushi chefs were speaking Spanish and Tagalog, which threw me off, since I was wishing for Japanese quality standards. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was surprised to see that they were offering yakatori, so we ordered a couple of skewers. After they arrived we saw that it was the same as their teppanyaki meat, even with the ketchup sauce on top. Not yakatori style at all. The sushi items were not fresh, so I did not even eat all of my rolls. The fish was disgusting, but I did not want to cause any problems because it is obviously chaos in the kitchen here. The California Roll that my father ordered was falling apart. My Zuki Roll was bland and squishy, so was the spicy tuna roll. Luckily we did not get sick. We ordered Vegetable Tempura Dinner to go along with our sushi selections– ended up with a shrimp tempura appetizer that we tried to turn away. Then, they brought us veggie fried rice, which we did not order either, we tried to turn it away. My Mom is vegetarian, and you can taste the meat flavor in the rice here. Then, we finally received the vegetable tempura, but it was the appetizer portion. However, the waitress gave us the fried rice and shrimp tempura appetizer for free, because she did not want to return it to the kitchen and get yelled at. This happened to us frequently in Evansville, where servers try to give us other tables food or additional dishes that we did not order. Must be regular practice.
