Well it took me long long time to write this because i had to think long and hard on what to say, so here goes. I went to see Alexandria approximately 2 – 3 months ago as a someone recommended her. I am dumbfounded at the lack of attention she pays to the people who are paying her money for services. She was constantly on the cell phone, and not only that, but i heard all bout her so called«boyfriend» she may be leaving the country. etc…etc…I go to get my hair done and relax and not hear about baby drama baby daddy etc… VERY unprofessional!!! so then i find out, a few weeks ago, when i finally found someone to FIXFIX my hair she messed up that the products she sold me are very bad for your hair… And why in the heck, as she told me, she buys«1000.00 dollars worth of product so she can give a break to the customers? LOL well i got news for her, it goes bad. sitting on the shelf for a long time… But yes she did FOOL me and took advantage of a person needing a hair color/cut! Not only that, when i went to the new salon, my hair was so messed up the cut was screwy and the color well, it was a mess… But the one part that i really got ticked off at is that my hair needed to be trimmed up, 2 days later, and she said that she was going to charge FORTYDOLLARS??? WHATTHE H*LL? no customer service skills whatsoever… and then she left me with the foils in my hair and went outside for a cigarette and some of the foils were coming off… she paid no attention to ME!!! i am appalled at the way she treats people who are paying her… NEVERNEVER will i go back… i found a salon in Everett that is every GIRLS dream… i wont say more because i am just out 200.00 dollars for a crappy cut and crappy color… shame on her! if anyone wants the name of t he salon i will give it to you! she does not even get a one star but i have to pick something there…

Alexandra’s is a no frills salon where you will not ever experience any sort of pampering or relaxation, it’s strictly about the cut or color you’re receiving. I was a client of Alexandra’s for 4 years and while I missed the decadent scalp massage while getting my hair washed, I liked the way she cut my hair enough to forego that extra perk of having a treatment done. But the experience I had at my last appointment was significant enough for me to never return as well as forewarn others what you’re in for if you choose to go there. Lately I’ve scheduled my appointments for her first one of the day on Saturday mornings and this last one was scheduled for 9:30. I was right on time and when I walked through the door she had a gentleman in her chair and was in the midst of a cut. She said hi, but nothing else so I assumed since she didn’t indicate she was running late that she was almost done. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I sat and waited for her to finish until 9:55 and when the gentleman left I asked her if I had mistakenly put the wrong time down for my appointment and she very simply said, «no, it was for 9:30″. I was a bit taken aback because again she didn’t offer any sort of apology, I guess I was expecting her to offer an explanation like she thought she could finish before I got there or some sort of explanation. By this point my irritation was visible, I had been there for 30 minutes so I asked her that if something like this happens again in the future if she could call me to give me a heads up. Her response was „no, that doesn’t work for me, it takes too long to stop what I’m doing and pick up the phone when we’re only talking about 15 minutes it’s just not worth it to me.“ I was in disbelief and told her that she’s not just 15 minutes behind, my appointment was supposed to be 30 minutes ago and it’s not about her, it’s about her client and their time.» Her response was, «I’m not going to argue with you, reschedule if you want, but I don’t feel like cutting your hair now.» At this point I was in shock, this is the woman who cut my hair every 6 – 8 weeks for 4 years and it was too much to ask for her to call me if it happens again in the future? Really? That’s how you treat a loyal client when you’re in a customer service industry? It astounds me because she doesn’t have a receptionist so if she’s cutting your hair and her phone rings, by all means she’ll answer it and spend the time to book the appointment for whoever is calling. There had been other instances of really poor customer service like when she brings her kids in and lets them run wild and they interrupt her so many times that you’re in the chair almost twice as long or there were multiple times there was drama with her boyfriend/barber who used to work there… it was honestly to the point where I was hoping it would get better because instead of looking forward to my hair cut, I would never know what I was walking into. I’m not one of those high maintenance people who complain about every little thing or the kind of person who isn’t ever satisfied, but the level of disrespect and sheer unprofessionalism I received by Alexandra warranted a bad review on Unilocal.I’m not waging a social media warfare either, but Unilocal is one of the websites that I trust and utilize when I’m trying to research a place so I felt I should share my experience.

You know you have all had that salon experience where you walk away feeling like you just spent $ 300 for a $ 15 hair cut or color? Well, you will NOT get that experience at Alexandra’s! Trust me, I’ve been in that spot many times over, trying everything and everyone when it comes to the search for the perfect hair stylist. I’ve been visiting Alexandra every 6 weeks now for 6 years, and I will NEVER go to anyone else, EVER. It’s always the perfect color, the perfect cut, everytime. Why? Becuase she is a perfectionist, that’s why. Extreme attention to detail and a true ARTIST, but the main thing is that she knows her stuff. Knowledge can be so under rated in her trade, but I think it’s imperative. When you meet her, you will get what I mean by the word«artist» she has a style all her own and she is the most real person that I have ever met. I heard about her because another salon referred her to me when I said that I wanted extenstions. She can do anything you want and she can suggest things too becuase she is creative. Lacey is awesome too, she’s worked on my hair as well, and her customers all come back to her again and again as well. If you are a guy, you’ll rave about the old fashioned straight razor shave from Tommy when you are done. I’ve watched guys come out of his chair and they can’t stop smiling. Give this shop a try and you won’t regret it.

After receiving a foil at Alexandra’s today by «Alexandra» it was not what I wanted. I didn’t notice how bad it was until I got home, I called her and explained to her that I was unhappy and she tried to blame the situation on me. She obviously knew she did something wrong because she got very upset and told me to go somewhere else and hung up on me. I have never dealt with someone who calls themself a business owner and acts so unprofessional. I will never go back there ever again!!!

*** This place IS called Alexandra’s. *** Apparently, I can’t read hand written cursive very well. Still great! Been there twice and will be back.

this is such a cute spot! i live in seattle and made the drive to see my girl Lacey who’s worked here for a while. Alexandra is awesome, she was doing some coloring while Lacey was doing my hair, and she does Lacey’s color as well(which looked AMAZING!) Lacey and I had been talking about having her cut my hair for the past two years. Finally the planets aligned, and we made the appointment. At first I was a bit daunted by the distance, but i seemed to get there in no time. The salon is really super cute inside. You can really see Alexandra’s attention to detail in all the décor, and it just feels comfy in there. She had Muse blaring on the stereo, and Lacey and I discussed the plan of attack. Because I’m a starving student on a constant budget, Lacey suggested peek-a-boo highlights in the under layers. That way, even when it grew out, it would not be very noticeable. It would add some funky dimension and not require major upkeep. i loved her efficiency and ability to multi-task. She cut another woman’s hair while my color was processing. i love my cut,(especially my bangs, which i think really showcase any stylist’s abilities) and i will definitely be a repeat customer :)

I went there last year on a whim and was impressed. Can’t remember the ladies name, could have been the owner, dark haired gal. I had a function to go to and a bunch of friends were going vintage so like always, on such special occasions, I poured my heart and soul into my costume. She gave me an up do, beehive like hair style. I was afraid at first because of the scary looking comb and tons of product she put in my hair. Afraid i’d have to cut my hair off to get it back to it’s natural state but that wasn’t the case, it washed right out. I’d definitely go back, she was talented and a very interesting individual.
