I really really wanted to love the teriyaki because I work so close, alas I didn’t. The meat was not grilled to well and the teriyaki sauce was bad.

Korean Mini Mart with a kitchen just across Colby Ave from Providence Hospital’s campus. Dropped in as an alternative to the hospital cafeteria. There are some tables, but think of this as a take out place. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and was served pretty quickly(less than 5 minutes) with a generous portion of the entrée and rice, piping hot and freshly prepared. However, the Kung Pao is subject to Korean interpretation. I grew up with Szechuan cuisine where Kung Pao meant diced boneless chicken, peanuts, veggies and dried red peppers in a savory clear gravy. This was diced, deep fried thinly breaded bits of chicken, which were a bit dry, with lots of broccoli, onions, shredded carrot and dried red chili peppers in the savory clear gravy. I haven’t had it with broccoli, and without peanuts, I’m not sure you could really call this Kung Pao. This made for a hearty meal and good value for the $, but if you are looking for Chinese, look elsewhere. The teriyaki is probably a better bet. Criticisms aside, I’m sure this was tastier and fresher than Asian in the cafeteria and a better value.

This place is delicious! I work at the hospital and LOVE going here for teriyaki. The best I’ve had in all of Everett. Price is very reasonable. Owners are a very happy couple and have a great memory. Only accept cash, but it’s worth it!

I’m only giving them 3 stars for now because I am going by second hand eating comments. My daughter bought a hamburger here and said it was very good and a lot bigger than she expected — price $ 3.99. I’ve had their teriyaki in the past and it was good. I’ll write another review once I investigate — go go inspector gadget.
