This is depressing. I’m so sad that this place has closed. I used to go here almost weekly when I lived in Everett and told everyone I knew to go here. I had a great relationship with the owner who was just a total sweetheart. When I moved away, I made sure to go back just to let her know she wouldn’t be seeing me again and I ordered like $ 50 of food – yes, just for me – and she threw in some special recipe of fried green beans that I literally get whiplash just thinking about. So I’m sad they’re closed not just because people in Everett now lack the best Thai food in the PNW but because of the owner, who because of my eccentricities one of which is I forget your name before you’ve pronounced the last syllable of it, was just a good person. She deserved to have the restaurant not only succeed locally but have people from across the country recognize it as a shining star of earnest, good, and fresh Thai cuisine. It’s been five years or so since I weekly darkened her door with my repeated orders of pad see ew and always challenging her to make it spicier. I really hope in her next endeavor, she’s successful and more than that I hope she knows that she made a very depressed, very divorced man happy just about every Wednesday or so for a few years.

Do not go with the spice level 5 or 4 if you’re not used to very spicy food. I did a 4 and it was spicy but waaaaay good! Service was excellent! Would come again, but definitely order less spicy.

Great Thai food, prices are reasonable. It’s family owned, and everyone is really sweet. The décor is nice which makes for a comfortable dining experience. There’s a bar if you don’t want a table. Try the curry fried rice, fresh rolls, stuffed chicken wings and the spring rolls. Red curry with Chicken and tofu is outstanding. The Tom yum soup is really good too! Finish it off with a thai tea or coffee, both equally as good! Absolutely love this place!

Great new edition to Everett! The waitress we had is awesome & timely service! I had the whole trout which is great but those stuff chicken wings are bomb! I’ve been back now 2 more times & this is true Thai! Delicious! I love this building with the old brick walls & the location so central to everything in downtown!

Slow and definitely not good like I expected. The waitress suggested the chicken curry… I should have charged her. Would never return.

A friend recommended E-San and I was not disappointed. Their Pad Se Ew is fantastic. You can order the spicy on the side to adjust it to your own level of heat. The garlic chili paste is delicious! The owner is friendly and will make suggestions if you are unsure what to order, but take my suggestion and get the Pad Se Ew!

E-san is a hole in the wall with plenty of warranted positive presence in the Unilocal world. Located on prime real-estate within line of sight of Comcast stadium this restaurant is still pretty easy to miss. Depending on the day and time expect parking to be a hassle since your in the city and space is at a premium. Another thing of note if you decide to hunt down this restaurant is the gap between the hours of 2 and 5 where it will be closed. E-san is a long restaurant decorated simply, boasting a fair amount of seating and a full bar. They employ top notch staff that delivers friendly, punctual and hassle free service. I have never left hungry or had a bad experience and their food(priced reasonably) is worth going back to every time. This last time I had the Pla Tod Lad Prik a fried seafood dish topped with their chili sauce, green onions and garlic, the presentation was easy on the eyes and the delivery on preparation was spot on. I was pleased that the fish was not over cooked, tender but not mushy. The crust was thin, refreshingly light on oil and crunchy, my one knock is that while the sauce was good and did not drown the dish it would have been nice to be served on the side(in like a dipping tray) so as not to compromise the crust. This is a very minor complaint though that in no way hurt the meal/experience. In all E-San is worth the time and investment as they reciprocate the gesture in the awesome service and product that they provide.

We started out with the Tom Kha soup; it was excellent. Then we went family style and ordered the Larb salad with chicken, the Pad Se Ew noodles also with chicken, and the Evil Prince(curry) and Salmon Curry special. The portions were generous, the food was flavorful and spicy(as we preferred) and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. Prices very reasonable. Water is served bottled & chilled with lemon. Only knock on this establishment is the same as any business located in Everett: it’s in Everett. But then, I live here too so what does that say. We’ll be back to try out more dishes at this solid Thai restaurant.

Excellent thai food! We had thai tea($ 3), crab rangoons(~$ 7), and pad thai($ 9). They definitely don’t skimp on the spice, I normally do 3 or 4 on the spicy scale at my local place but here was getting some heat on a level 2! I had tofu and loved it, while the boyfriend did pork and was super happy with his as well. The wontons were amazing as well, and the hostess was super nice and accomodating when we decided to switch to takeout over our teas. I liked the roll up garage door leading to the patio as well and the nice, open feel of the décor. Would gladly return again!

Seriously, the food here is awesome. We practically ordered everything on the menu on our last visit and every dish hit the spot. One of the great things I like about this restaurant is the chili– I don’t what they do with this lovely spice but a little goes a long way because it is HOT. I also agree with the other reviewers and echo the outstanding service and pleasant atmosphere. It’s just unfortunate I live very far from this restaurant otherwise I’d be a regular.

From out of town. I live in an area where you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Thai restaurant. This place stands out. The owner was super friendly asking us about our day. Taking time to find out how my gaughters soccer tournament was going. We had take out but she brought us water and a newspaper to read. Talk about personal service. Felt like we were at a friends home. Food was wonderful. Expertly prepared. Fresh and flavorful. And the best part, they made it gluten free because my daughter is gluten intolerant. Perfect experience!

We were excited to try this restaurant because we LOVE Thai food and the reviews of E-San are pretty good. So our expectations were high. I know, that’s often a sign of disappointment. And we were. E-San’s space is a bit long and narrow. I generally don’t like restaurants that are long and narrow. But no biggie; the décor is just fine. The lady who waited on us was wonderful. She couldn’t have been sweeter. She was, by far, the best part of our experience. The menu had many different kinds of dishes and it was hard to choose because all the items sounded good. We sat next to a couple with two little kids and an infant. The older kids were about two and three. For awhile, I thought the couple owned the place because the kids were freely running around, being loud, and acting as if they lived there. There were toys(provided by the restaurant) on the ground for them to play with. The kids were all over the place and even went into the kitchen. Back and forth and back and forth. We later found out they were just good customers so they felt at home. I’m guessing they were friends of the owners. It was so odd they let their kids run around and be so loud in a restaurant. But that’s more on the parents than the restaurant. Though I felt the restaurant staff should have said something about the kids’ behavior. So because the restaurant staff allow(or maybe even encourage) the kids’ rude behavior, we felt they were somewhat culpable. I love kids but it was so disruptive, especially in a relatively narrow space. When we ordered our food we asked for no garlic or onion because garlic and onions upset my spouse’s stomach. The waitress assured us there would be neither. The salad came and it had a lot of dried garlic in it. Despite the garlic, the salad had almost no flavor. Then came the chicken satay. It was a smaller portion than we’re used to and was dry. The peanut sauce was mediocre. Not good! Next came the eggplant dish and the fried shrimp. The eggplant was cold so we asked them to microwave it. The shrimp was good but not great. On top of that, the temperature inside the restaurant was cold. The whole time I was there I was unpleasantly cold and wished I had worn heavier clothing. So needless to say, we were very disappointed. We won’t return. :-(

Was in Thailand a couple of months ago; E-San rivals some of their better restaurants. My wife and I have been eating there or ordering out almost every other day. Pineapple fried rice is so fresh and light. Outstanding customer service as well

Got the swimming rama and crab cream puffs to go. This place used to be awesome I don’t know what happened. The swimming rama was not swimming rama it was bland and mostly noodles, the crab cream puffs didn’t have crab and were not as great as I once remembered them being. I’m a little sad right now, I don’t want to even finish my food because it doesn’t taste good. Two bites and I’m done. :-( I hope things turn around for this place. It used to be my favorite.

We were a little apprehensive about eating here(we were the only customers @ 8pm on a Wednesday evening) Our concerns were quickly erased with the friendly hostess/waitress and the food. The BEST Tom Kah soup in the Seattle area HANDSDOWN! I WANTTHERECIPE! The Red Curry was a little wattery, but it had good flavor. The prices were average(about $ 10 an entrée)
