Ishmi Salon

After going to Ishmi, I can’t go back to Supercuts. She made my hair look fabulous and she knows hair. She gave me a 15 min. shampoo and scalp massage, a fantastic cut and style, and a lot of great training on how to do it at home. I also go to Christina’s next door for my nails, they do a great job too! I also like the idea of helping two women business owners.

I have called them last minute to get in once or twice & they have been so accommodating! I’ve been cut by Ishmi & another gal there & both were done fabulous! They really take the time with you and not a quick in & out shove you out the door sorta place. My hair is thick & not as easy as it looks to cut and I have had my hair done many places. Ishmi really understands layering & how to do an awesome cut! She cut my mom’s hair to & hers is short and she is picky haha We both have decided to make this our permanent place!

After going to Gene Juarez for years and paying super high prices, a friend gave me Ishmi’s name. I don’t know how long I’ve been going, but I’m sure it’s at least 2 years. Ishmi understands hair and hair products. I have fine straight hair, but have seen her work with people who have more hair than they know what to do with.
She, herself, has long beautiful shiny healthy hair that she colors frequently. It’s obvious that she knows how to color without damaging hair.
She’s very honest when I show her pictures of looks I like and whether they would work with my hair. She’s also very willing to try anything I ask or suggest things when I ask.
She’s completely reliable and flexible with scheduling, and her prices are a way lower than Gene Juarez.
I get lots of compliments on my color. The color doesn’t fade like it used to between visits at Gene Juarez, and it’s healthy.

I am very satisfied with Ishmi services. She takes her time with my hair and I receive a lot of compliments. I can trust her judgment and we tried different styles. Every style looked great. I recommend this salon.

I was already on the fence with this establishment. The décor is cheesy and the owner, Ishmi, had difficulty understanding what a cool, short, edgy cut looks like. I had to basically hold her hand throughout the haircut.
I had to cancel my last hair appt but gave ample notice. I specifically said I’d be keeping my next already scheduled hair appt the following month. I arranged for a sitter and drove the 10 miles only to be told upon arrival that all my appts had been canceled and she wasn’t available to cut my hair. No apology and was treated like a liar. Or that the mistake was my doing. Totally unprofessional and inexcusable. Never going back.

I have been coming to Ishmi’s salon for over two years now, and I love it. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable, and my hair is the healthiest it has probably ever been. Highly, highly recommend this salon.

I liked my cut– trendy inverted bob– I have a ton of hair that needs lots of thinning (texturizing as they call it) and it looked great when they finished. Can’t remember the name of the gal that did my hair; but she had a thick Russian/​Ukraine accent. The reason for the 3 star review is that when I got there– I was told one price and at the end of the cut it was $ 5-​$ 10 more. That’s what I call inflation!
I can’t say I’d never go back, but I’d definitely raise a stink if that happened a second time– and I have no idea why I didn’t the first time? Just threw me off my game, I guess!
