J&T Remodeling

I have used Jose and his crew on many projects in my home! Sadly I am late writing my review. Jose saved our bathroom remodel when the contractor we hired screwed up. It turned out beautiful! He did a walk in shower (framed, designed, the whole thing) installed our new tub, did in floor heating, lighting, tile and installed our cabinets.
We had him back to help with a custom built book shelf/​storage unit to frame our fireplace. Perfect. He does excellent work and stays until the job is done. Pricing is great and he listens to concerns. He is sometimes hard to reach, but that is because when he is with a customer they get his FULL attention. You will be happy for that if you hire him! I am waiting for my husband to say we can fix our kitchen — Jose and his crew will be back!

I found Jose in Unilocal when he only had one review. I had 3 other contractors come out and give me an estimate on my kitchen and Jose gave me a middle range bid. I told him right off the bat that I was going to scrutinize his work, since my family from out of state were contractors, I’m so glad that i hired him. Aside from very good work, his team was very accommodating. My family and I felt really comfortable with Jose and his crew. He explained everything about the job, so there weren’t any surprises. There were occasions where I had appointments I had to deal with and his team was very accommodating and trustworthy. 10 stars for this guy and his team and I would hire him again.

We hired J&T Remodeling to remodel our bath tub. It turned out there was some rotted sub flooring, and Jose removed and replaced it for us, doing a great job at a fair price. We’ll definitely hire him again and recommend J&T to our friends.

Called J&T based off the glowing reviews on Unilocal.I was really excited since Jose seemed professional during our first (and what would be our only) phone call. We set a date and I cleared my plans to accommodate the window of time he’d be able to come out. He said he would call ahead of time in case he wouldn’t be able to make it.
Fast forward to our appointment. He was an hour late, so I called to make sure he had the correct address and that I had the right date and time. Wasn’t surprised to get voice mail so I left a message. After 2 hours, I called again… no answer. Figured something had come up (we’re all human) so I shrugged it off, expecting him to call me back within the next couple of days.
Well, it’s been a month now and still no follow up. I only get his voice mail when I call, so I guess he has no interest in doing business with me. That’s okay. But I would rather have had him say he wouldn’t be able to take on my project instead of standing me up and leaving me hanging. Saddened by the turn of events, but it is what it is.

I’ve used Jose twice in the last year and he’s great! (And full disclosure, I’ve been a construction loan officer for a number of years and worked with a lot of builders.) The first time I had the Ikea vendor design a kitchen, but decided not to use their construction company. I purchased the design and the cabinets and looked for someone to install them. Jose won the bid and had good references. Once we got into the construction he pointed out where the Ikea vendor had mis-​measured. With a lot of builders this is their chance to put it to you. Jose came up with a creative and functional way to make everything work, did a great job of installation, and did it all without breaking the bank. And they were the nicest guys, easy to work with, reliable, good with my neighbors and generally did a quality job.
9 months later I had a little project in my bathroom. He came out, did a quality job for not much money. I have a couple more things I’m thinking about doing, and having him around makes me comfortable we can do this without much hassle.
I trust this guy, I like his work, and if you’re smart you’ll hire him.

I used J & T Remodeling to replace the surrounds on my marble fireplaces in the living room and family room. Jose and his contractors were all extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and highly efficient.
I am very satisfied with the overall quality of the work, the communication along the way, velocity of the project and the final cost. Highly recommend Jose for any remodeling projects large or small.
I think the key reason for their success is the pride they put into their work, making sure everything was done to not only my satisfaction but also theirs. They are reliable and best of all, trustworthy. I would recommend them for any size job!
