This place is great. Me and my wife come here all the time to meet with friends. The food is great and the pastries are to die for. I highly recommend it to anybody that’s looking for a special cake or just a nice cup of coffee with a nice pastry to sit back and relax.

This is by far the greatest place for pastries and cakes. They have amazing selections and can make any cake for the events. Prices are very affordable. I ordered a cake for my birthday and all my guests were very impressed! They kept asking me where I ordered such a delicious and beautiful cake. You do have to place order a couple of weeks ahead of the event. They have very delicious coffee as well. Overall I would recommend this place, really worth it!

Delicious bakery. Great service(just one example: when my friend asked for a slice of lemon for his tea, they brought the whole lemon cut in slices). Reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This place is a wonderful little mom and pop bakery! I stop in here every once in a while for a piroshk and some borscht to go– it’s always delicious! The bread is never over baked and its filling is always rich and pleasant. The borscht tastes homemade, honestly it tastes like my grandmother’s, its super good!(Note: it does contain chicken.) Overall, everything’s pretty reasonably priced, the customer service is also pretty good, and the parking is no issue.

Katya’s Bakery is a must visit. The borscht is especially delicious, and the honey cake is fantastic.

OMG!!! This place is amazing. I loved every last bite. By far the best Russian food I have ever tasted. Loved the borscht. Oh and the coffee is to die for. I had the white mocha and it was perfect. No burned beans here.

The best russian food I ever ate. Especially borch. It is just AMAZING! I always take some borch to go. Piroshky is good too, I like cabbage and potato ones. Pretty much, everything I ate is delicious. Macaroons, Italian horns, eclers, potatoes, nuts, cakes and etc. just try everything they have!!!

I love bakeries, but they always seem to be over priced. Katya makes exquisite pastries and the prices are reasonable. This is only my second time here, but I will be back!

This place is an amazing little bakery and man, I wish I could have sampled more of their goodies! You can tell it’s a small family operation and the attendant helped me pick out a cake for a dinner we were invited to later that evening. I think I picked out the Belochka but I can’t remember. It was a chocolate layer cake with tons of tiny little chocolate cake layers and tons of layers of whipped cream frosting/filling. It was a beautiful cake to look at and even better to eat! My friends all marveled at how beautiful it was! I highly recommend them for any special occasions you have. I wish I had gotten a piroshki but we had a million things to do and eat that day already!

Hidden gem! We didn’t care for the borscht soup but the Italian soup was delicious! The pastries were great. We had several macaroons(strawberry as well blueberry too). The hubby got the tulip tiramisu! He loved it!

Great Russian bakery! Even if you aren’t into baked goods, you should come here for the pelmeni(Russian) dumplings. Pelmeni has chicken and pork inside and you get twelve for $ 7.99. Also their soups are really good. Would recommend the borscht soup for $ 5.99.

I originally noted this bakery and its terrific reviews from Unilocal. Finally had the opportunity to stop by mid morning to check out Katya’s Bakery. And everything is as advertised — lovely, eye catching pastry cases and tasty baked goods. We sampled some of their tiny cheese pastries(75 cents each), a fried piroshky with meat and veggies($ 2.29), a large football shaped piroshky with chicken, bacon, cabbage and mushrooms($ 3.59), and a piece of layered honey cake($ 3.99). Beautiful mini and large cakes, pastries, confections, savory baked goods, and even macarons! There’s also crepes, soups, pickled items, and assorted beverages. Whether savory or sweet, the items we tried were spot on. I appreciated that the honey cake was just right and not cloying. You can taste the genuine ingredients used. While we were there, there were several takeout orders, including a giant birthday, then three cakes, a bunch of ornate cupcakes, and other baked goods for a wedding. Others stopped in for a pastry and beverage to go. It was great to also hear patrons speak in Russian while discussing the various cake varieties. Counter service is just okay, but then I’m not there to be BFFs. I’m there to check out the Eastern European and Russian baked goods. Check out my photos to add to what previous Unilocalers posted. Worth the stop if you’re in South Everett on Mondays through Saturdays!

I’m not a fan of Americanized food, so I’m always looking out for the rare establishment that tracks their historic roots instead of becoming American. This is one of those places. The food is traditional and natural. It’s free if cream from powder mixes for instance. Real cream is used. The cakes and the slices are bountiful and delicious. The cook is Russian with broken English, and speaks to her daughter in Russian. I love this. :) The coffee was good, not a lot of choices, but this isn’t Starbucks. It was served in fine China though and I really appreciated that a lot. This is quite an experience and I’m going to be back many times.

This bakery is definitely worth going out of your way to grab a quick breakfast lunch or dinner. Everyone of their perosky that we tried are extremely delicious and filling. We also tried their pistachio macaroons and some other different European egg salad which was amazing. They had big portions and it’s worth the price($ 3-$ 4 on average). The staff was happy to answer any questions and give suggestions on their favorite choices. It was fun and interesting to learn a little background about the different food items and where they came from & are most popular. The restaurant decorations have a modern-rustic(lol) European café vibe. But the hanging butterfly’s seem somewhat out of place and childish for the décor choice. All your n all 5+++ stars and this will be a new regular stop in for me :)

I have been on the hunt for good poppyseed bread for over twelve years. I first fell in love with this delightful indulgence when I visited an authentic Russian restaurant in northern New Jersey. It was moist and the poppyseed filling was just perfect! I have tried a few places since then and let me tell you, Katya’s surpasses all of my expectations! It was everything I could have hoped for and more! To boot, they are super sweet and friendly and they’re piroshkis are phenomenal! I had the salmon and cream cheese and it was excellent! Their other pastries looked beautiful and I will definitely be back to try more of their goodies! And since I am a lover of borscht, I’ll be sure to try theirs next time!

We stopped in while waiting for my 2 year old’s hair appt across the parking lot at kids kuts, and I am so glad my husband spotted it! The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. You can tell it’s family owned, and the girl and her mom were both very nice. The pastries were fantastic, so we grabbed some borscht and piroshkis to eat later that night… also delicious! We drive south once every few months to get pastries from Pikes Market, but these were way better! This place will be our new go to restaurant when we get a craving for Eastern European foods.

One of my clients raved about this place to me, to the point that I started craving red borcht. I tried it at many other Russian/Ukrainian places and was always disappointed. But this time, it exceeded my expectations! My husband who is not a fan of Russian food, especially borcht, pretty much ate most of my plate. He loved it! Please continue to make it of the same quality and we will be coming back! We also had salmon piroshky which were also delicious! And the desserts are true, Russian quality. I’m not much of a dessert person, but I couldn’t resist trying a couple. We will definitely be back!

My fiancé has been to Katya’s Bakery several times since it opened, and I finally got to try it today. It did not disappoint! The atmosphere was warm and quiet. It appears to be a family run business and everyone was very welcoming. If you(like me) are not familiar with Russian food, do not be afraid to ask what something is. They had no problem explaining various dishes to us. We shared a mango flavored macaroon and I got the stump cake, which was like a vanilla roll cake with icing shaped like mushrooms and leaves… it looked like a fairy tale tree stump! The macaroon was big and tasted great. The cookie was light and crumble-y while the center was chewy and sweet. The roll cake was almost too cute to eat, but when I did it was like a moist sponge cake texture with a marscapone center. The icing gave a sweet addition to the cake, which was not overly sweet. My fiancée always gets the honey cake, which comes in a very generous slice and it is quite tasty as well. If sweets are not your thing, they also have savory foods, like a Stromboli with salmon and cream cheese that I am definitely trying next time!
